First time here. We were looking for a place to have lunch and out of curiosity, we decided to give…read morethem a try. And, oh boy, we were so grateful we did. The place is super clean. Spotless, including the bathrooms. The service was excellent. José was very nice and helpful. A well educated young man. The food! Well, food tasted like homemade food. Serving was huge and the food had an explosion of flavors. The meat was tender and juicy, the chicken was seasoned so well that it didn't taste like chicken. It was so good and it wasn't dry. Shrimp was also delicious. We will come back.

So the service was pretty good. The young ladies were delightful and checked on us often. And I…read morewanted to like other things, but I just couldn't. The decor is interesting. Like an old school cafeteria or something. Not the worst but not terrible. The music is also interesting. Not exactly my cup of tea, but fine. However a 5 minute break from music to talk about random stuff was less pleasant. But what about the food? The food is legitimately not good. Even great service can't make up for bad food. We started with spinach artichoke dip that was flavorless beyond the massive slab of cheese on top. The rest of it was so runny you couldn't even get it onto a chip. My wife's bean soup was ok, other than it had beef stock in it when they initially said it didn't. My pork was edible. Just. It was massively overcooked and too salty, but it wasn't so off putting as to be inedible. But the refried beans were among the worst I've had. I say among the worse in case I can't remember worse. But I can't remember worse. The beans were so dry they would break into clumps when trying to eat them. And the flavor wasn't great on top of that. One other note -- among the stranger menus I've seen. I probably should have checked more carefully before giving this place a try.

Hands down the best tacos I've ever had! There are 3 different vendors inside, 2 serving authentic…read moremexican food as well as a pasteleria (bakery). Went on a weekday for lunch & there were plenty of tables. Unfortunately, no salsa bar when we went, but they gave some containers with our order. Carnitas, al pastor, & barbacoa were excellent, but the must-order is the lengua (beef tongue). The meat is literally melt-in-your-mouth & so so tender. We got a lengua taco as well as a lengua torta. Both amazing! The tres leches was good but a bit too sweet & too much cinnamon flavor for my liking. Loved the churros in the bakery portion though. Already planning the next trip back!!

Luckily I've had the pleasure of eating lots of tacos so at least understood the menu. I found out when you order from the register on the right (where it says Taquiza), you can only order tacos. All other items like tortas, enchiladas, etc are ordered from the register on the left side. Might be obvious to everyone roses but They announce your number in Spanish only so you need to be prepared. You pick up on the side of the dining tables. The condiment/salsa bar is delicious and I love how you can customize what you want. If you like tripa, you're going to celebrate. Best tripa tacos I've ever had. Lengua was also good. Unexpectedly, the al pastor wasn't my favorite.

La Jarochita Restaurant - They have an entire concha wall which is always an indication of good things to come. I had lunch here and their food was spot on.
