    California burrito with grilled chicken
    Precious O.

Stopped by El Corcel for lunch to go just because I was passing by. Overall I had a good experience. I got the California burrito with grilled chicken which was delicious. It was pretty slow when I was there so if you're in a hurry or want a quiet place to eat, this is a good one.

    :)

Pricing was great, the man at the counter was super nice, & the restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. I liked that they weren't price gouging for things. A bottle of water was only $1. We did the mini chicken katsu and the mini bbq beef. The katsu was perfectly crisp and the bbq beef was the flavor I remember from Hawaii. Portion sizes are large. Our meals came with rice and Mac salad. The Mac salad seems like it's missing something, but I'm not sure what. It was still very good and I loved the cabbage and broccoli under the beef. We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes!

I have ordered delivery from here and ate inside once. I like their BBQ chicken and katsu. They are both good and reasonably priced in my opinion. The seating inside is limited, and not exactly a "cozy" space. When I got there, there was a self-order screen which was easy to use. I had a little cash on me and saw a tip jar on the counter, so when I paid for my order with my credit card, I hit the Skip button for the tips. However, the receipt showed that they still charged 15% tip on my card. This had never happened to me before at any business. I do not know what kind of error it was, but I perceived it as deceitful and sneaky. However, when I brought it to the staff's attention, he corrected the amount right away which I appreciated. I also saw someone else's review mentioning the same thing. I hope they will fix the issue. That said, I still like their food and I thank them for bringing more variety to the area.

The service was very helpful deciding what to order. The setting was fun down town indanopolis feel. The lobster roll was definitely the standout. It was packed with fresh, flavorful lobster and had a nice balance of buttery richness without feeling too heavy. You can tell the seafood is high quality, which makes a huge difference. The lobster deviled eggs were super unique and honestly one of my favorite bites. Creamy, slightly tangy, and topped with lobster--it's not something you see everywhere, and they executed it really well. My husband tried the shrimp burrito, which was great for a seafood spot. It was hearty, well-seasoned, and filled generously. It didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. To finish, the cheesecake was a great choice it was from the cheesecake factory is what the offered for my birthday smooth, rich, and just the right level of sweetness with a strawberry topping to end the meal without being overwhelming. Overall, Slap's Fish Market delivers on both creativity and quality. It's a great spot if you want fresh seafood with a few fun, unexpected twists. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Not gonna lie, my work group really likes coming here when we have lunch outings. My only problem?…read moreI very much dislike seafood to any capacity. Yet, I still eat here just fine. I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.

It's a great perk that you can enjoy the views of the reservoir from the bar area, though they have plenty of seating right by the water if you're looking for the full outdoor experience. The service was top-tier, especially Cassidy at the bar, who was absolutely amazing and made the visit even better. The food was easily the most flavorful I've had in a long time. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller to start, and they were presented beautifully. For my main, I had the Shrimp and Sausage Pasta, but subbed the pasta for chicken--it arrived fresh, steaming hot, and perfectly seasoned. To top it all off, the Berry Dangerous cocktail was the perfect choice. If you're looking for fresh food, a great view, and amazing service, this is the spot. 5/5 stars!

We sat on the patio, and although the shades were closed earlier in the day, they opened them later once the weather warmed up, which made the vibe even better. Our server was very nice and attentive, especially with our large group. We ordered a half mimosa tower, and I really enjoyed it. I also tried Rico's Coffee from the brunch menu, which was so good and paired perfectly with the brunch vibe. I ordered the French toast platter, which came with four pieces of French toast, scrambled eggs, brunch potatoes, and bacon. It was delicious and so filling that I had to get a to-go box. The yogurt parfait was also really good, and everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food and drinks, including the Bloody Mary options and tea. We ordered liquid marijuana shots as a group and these were great. One thing to note: we brought a cake for our friend and didn't know there was a $25 outside cake fee, so be aware of that if you plan to bring your own dessert. After brunch, we walked around the beautiful grounds, and a few of us stayed longer on the patio. The high-top seating wasn't the most comfortable, but the drinks and appetizers made up for it. The whiskey sour was good, and we enjoyed the crab cakes, calamari, shrimp, and Rico's dip. This turned into an all-day affair with good food, drinks, beautiful weather, and great company. A really nice spot for brunch, celebrations, and patio time.

I had a fantastic time. Everything was well orchestrated. The service was excellent - kudos to Marcus and Dalia for taking great care of us. Our reservation was at 10:30. We got there and were seated upstairs. Our waiter was awesome, however it just was not what I hoped for at all. We ordered the special, but they ran out of potatoes. The alternative we got was fried rice, which really didn't go with the meal, but we had to choose something. The lump crab I got for my steak wasnt on my steak when It arrived, the waiter attempted to make it right, but by the time we got it, it was unseasoned crab in a bowl in some "water like" juice. Not what I expected at all. The dessert was baked Alaska, however all we could taste was the alcohol. It wasn't good AT ALL! It might have been if the alcohol had burned off.... as it should. The atmosphere was beautiful although, as a couple with a late reservation, it was a little bit disappointing that they started taking away all the balloons and decorations as we were sitting there! At that point it felt like we were being rushed to leave. I have been here a couple of times and the experience was always good, maybe just don't go for a big holiday, and especially consider somewhere else to take your valentine.
