This spot might be might favorite for Spanish food in bridgport so far. The food is clean and delicious. I usually try and get the peril with rice and gondules. Or the whole chicken with a side of the mojito sauce with rice and red beans. They also have a really good potato ball. Aka relleno de papa. Still some stuff i have to try here they mainly speak Spanish but that's not a bad thing for me atleast. I plan on coming back here perhaps next weekend.

Service was quicker and better today. The food always tastes fresh and good. My daughter loves their rellenos de papas.

Pork chop yellow rice and sweet plantain with a stuffed potato ball definitely going back.

Great authentic Puerto Rican food, friendly staff, plenty of parking, good prices. What else could you ask for. Located in the heart of Bridgeport CT's Puerto Rican community El Coquito is the #1 go to spot if your in the area and in the mood for delicious Puerto Rican food. Wide variety of meats, fried foods and dishes. I had arroz con gandules y habichuelas ( yellow rice with pigeon peas and beans) con pernil ( roasted pork). It was delicious. Warm welcoming environment with a cross section of customers from blue collar to white collar everyone was eating and everyone looked like they were enjoying their food. I would rate them #1 in the area for Spanish food

We were greeted with quick, friendly service. My daughter was thrilled with her waffle bowl (though to be fair, she's pretty easy to please when sugar is involved). I didn't want to look at the menu, so I stuck with a classic vanilla on a sugar cone simple and generously scooped. The prices are super reasonable, and they even have a little enclosed patio to enjoy your treat if you want to linger. Truth be told, I don't care for ice cream much, but seeing my kid so happy made the stop totally worth it. She gives it two thumbs up and that's all that really matters!

From traditional scoops, to loaded banana splits, milkshakes and even nostalgic ice cream truck favorites I was impressed with the wide selection offered. We all enjoyed our cones and it's awesome to know this great spot is on the area.

If customer service has truly gone off a cliff, this visit was the proof. I walked in for a simple cup of frozen yogurt, something I've done countless times. The young woman behind the counter didn't ask if I wanted a lid (as I'm always asked), and instead overfilled the cup. When I politely said I wanted a lid, she scraped off the top like it was garbage. That may seem small to some, but presentation matters. I'm not an animal, and I don't expect to be served like one. When I pointed out that this wasn't how it should be done, she snapped back with, "Well how do you think I'm going to close it?"--then followed up with, "If you don't like it, come back here and make it yourself." Excuse me? That's not just rude, it's hostile. I asked the other employee to make a new one, and the same young woman kept up the nasty attitude, saying "I don't care, it's not mine either." The second employee did apologize, and I appreciated that. But when I said I'd be calling the owner, I was told he's on vacation. Is that why the staff feels free to treat customers with such disrespect? Zack's used to be a place where service matched the sweetness of the yogurt. Now, it feels like the values that built this business have melted away. I sincerely hope the owner reads this and takes action--because this kind of behavior is unacceptable, and longtime customers like me deserve better.

It's like it hasn't been deep cleaned in 10 years. There's also no restroom! People seemed nice to us. I won't complain about them. It seems like a lot of kids working, to be expected. It's basically a fast food ice cream chain so what can be expected. The real issue is, they need a manager there running the ship. The crew was all over the place when I was there. They kept looking at the order receipts, running around chaotically. Asking each other questions etc. I think they need a boss or someone there that can help the crew out with direction. I think lack of management was the issue. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. Go find a mom and pop place nearby. This place is just not as "cool" as it once was.
