Today's special was beef brisket $5 and each side is $2 each (there are 2 veggie sides/servings here. The total was about $10 after taxes.

I was here for a medical appointment and had to wait longer than expected, so I decided to get something to eat in the hospital. This cafeteria/bistro is located downstairs from the main level. Take the stairs or elevator downstairs across from the lobby/reception area. There is a small coffee shop right in front of the cafeteria. Reasonable prices for a hospital food bistro. They seem to have daily specials and an omelet station for breakfast. Items are mostly a la carte. The main protein is about $5-6 dollars, and each side dish is around $2. They also have pizza slices for about $4-5 and an assortment of bottled drinks, chips, cookies/sweets, and fruits. I got the daily special beef brisket and 2 sides of veggies (total about $10 after taxes). Brisket was surprisingly tender and soft. Better than expected for hospital food. Nice perk is that there is an indoor/outdoor courtyard in front of the cafeteria and someone was playing the piano during lunch today.

Husband is in the hospital for a couple of months. I am so thankful that the food here is really good. The prices are also low which helps when you have a loss of income due to an illness. It gets busy during lucnh but they are so organized I never have to wait. I wish they were open on the weekends forf breakfast.

I came with my dad and two kids, and I ordered 3 things, each of which went on its own tray, while carrying my daughter. An employee came by to help me bring the trays to the table which was unnecessary but totally appreciated! The food was exactly what I expected, but that's a good thing - it's very comforting, large portions of hearty meals. I think the biggest downside to my experience was the other diners. This place is patronized by some of the most curmudgeonly elderly folks I have ever met. A man literally came up to the front of the line to scold us for not lining up correctly? I'm not a regular, sorry I don't know how the line usually works, but I did line up exactly as everyone else before me. My kids are pretty well behaved and cute, and usually passersby at least smile at them, but not here! The whole meal felt like I was carrying two screaming children on a transatlantic flight. I thought a woman sitting near us was giving me the stinkeye the whole time, but maybe I was imagining it. The cherry on top was another woman who came into the bathroom while I was washing my daughter's hands after she used the potty. This other woman was coughing like crazy and looked at us then made some sort of sound that frightened my daughter quite a bit and never bothered to apologize or smile or anything??? 4 stars for the establishment -5 stars for the other customers, shame on y'all

Today was horrifically disappointing. Being on a fixed budget we are barbecuing here at home and so I went to get some roasted vegetables to accompany the meat. When I got there it was not roasted vegetables day it was steamed vegetables which was fine. I asked for 1 quart and 1 pint of the steamed vegetables. That's all. When it was time to pay they said I owed $31.‼‼‼ I said "are you kidding? " She said no that's the price. $18 for a quart of simple broccoli cauliflower and carrots steamed. It wasn't two dollars worth of vegetables. That is a total rip off. $18 and nine dollars. I had to buy them because I had no other choice since the meal was starting soon. I want buyers to be beware. It's a rip off!! there is no way you can justify $31 for a quart and pint of plain steamed vegetables.

Personally, I love Blue Door, which is a more affordable version of Ettan and serves delicious Indian street food. It's still on the pricier side, but the flavors are absolutely worth it. The drinks are great (also a bit pricey), and on Tuesday nights they host trivia -- which makes the whole place feel even more lively and energetic. I ordered a lychee martini, which was delicious, along with paneer tikka, naan, and daal makhani from Blue Door. We also shared the sesame leaf chaat (my favorite!) and a margarita pizza. The pizza was okay -- not my favorite, as the crust was a bit too crunchy for my liking. Overall, though, such a fun and vibrant spot!

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. We ordered Fambrini's Breakfast, Brie & Mushroom Omelette, Crab Omelette, and shares the Lotus Biscoff Pancakes. Everyone loved their egg platters. The eggs were perfectly light and fluffy. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. The pancakes were bouncy with biscoff sauce and a mound of whipped cream. This was mouth wateringly delicious. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was so yummy. This isn't a traditional sit down service but counter staff were friendly and efficient. There is a small parking lot off to the side and there is indoor and patio seating. The dalgona coffee looks amazing but is only okay, I'd maybe try something else. It is definitely Cafe style, where you order and pay at the counter first. They usually help you find seating (which is all outdoors) and bring out the food. From there everything is self-serve, whether that's for utensils or simply getting water.
