I'm here at Launderland Coin Laundry on Washington St. El Cajon and it's 6:45 am on this Monday morning. It's only a one man show looking like and I just joined which makes two! This laundry mat is open at 5 am every day and closes at 10 pm every day! It's an older joint but kept up nicely and it appears as though there are plenty of machines in working order from one load to 4? Last load is at 9 pm and to top that off, I'm using a two load washer and it cost me $2.75 for the warm cycle! WHAT? I'm tellin you like I sees it fosho! Hey, there's a 7/11 right next door too! Well, imagine after switching over to this laundromat living in El Cajon for 5 years, is my 5th visit here and I always have a habit of checking inside the laundry machine to see if there's any remnants from the previous user like dirt /debris/ Etc / all of the above you can imagine you can find sitting in there. Since I have seen weird stuff in other machines over time led me to have a habit of checking first. At least a couple times in the past they were some debris dirt, whatever, I simply asked the lady attendant for a Rag that she provided and I moved on. However this past Friday the machine that I prefer to use I saw some questionable stuff in the machine and on the side holes, so i was waiting for her to ask for the rag but I saw her next door disappearing into a house so I waited 10 plus minutes she didn't come back so i tore a piece of the paper towel and tried to  wipe the stuff off from inside a machine but there's so much of it that I decided to leave the towel it on top of the machine for her to see it and not use that machine at all since they were stuffed lodged in some of the holes inside the machine. I literally live around the corner so, I set my timer went home came back to take my clothes to the dryer and I saw her sitting through the window in her normal spot and I told her hey come see this she said I don't need to see it and refuse to come over. So I said it's your machine you don't want to see it so I ignored it and just set my timer for the dryer and left again. When I came back it looked obvious that she ran the machine and it was fresh water in it now I didn't see the stuff anymore so I told her it looks good, it looks like the stuff is gone.. And then she drops a bombshell and said , you did it...Other people saw you do it So here's the Imagine part, Imagine you go to any business you see water on the floor or an object or something that shouldn't be there that an employee or somebody working there would appreciate you telling them that and would want to know for their business or place of employment and for that person's response to be you did it....It's not only a huge red flag it is unacceptable, and disgusting. For you to either be ashamed that someone is telling you something is bad in your business, or what do you call that when an employee doesn't want to hear something about their business and then tells you that you're the one who did it. How are you supposed to feel about that as a client that just wants to wash their clothes, mind their business and move on with your life ,cause you switched over to this laundromat to save money because you're unemployed and you're going through certain procedures because of your health. How is one supposed to feel with that kind of response to having stuff inside of the machines several times now? Your first reaction when you see that stuff in there is do they not clean these machines often or is the employee embarrassed. Again, This is possibly the third time there's been debris in the machine since I've been here and going on my 5th visit here. The employee then says I already have a boss you're not my boss to my surprise, I just said I don't want to be your boss all I wanted you to see what was in your machine that I was looking at, She kept on saying she already has a Boss. I asked her what is your name and she did not respond, I asked what is the owner's name. she said you do not come back here or I will call the cops. I said with that attitude I don't need to come here and took my laundry and left disgusted by what happened. Well here's what happened cause i took photos of it because it's always he said she said until you show the photographs....Wherever you are lady your attitude stinks. I was expecting a thank you or poss sorry about that...(  not a thank you sir / thank you Mr ) maybe just thank you for pointing that out without giving me attitude or possibly being embarrassed or even worst case accusing me of it .  To be honest I wasn't sure if this was s*** or weed or both, but the bad attitude then the accusation is unacceptable and disgusting so here's photographs of whatever that stuff is in your machines... now deal with it. Warning :  if you go to this facility before you put your clothes in these machines look to see if there's any debris or objects and take photos good, bad or indifferent and put them up on this website so the owner can see what's going on here. In life, I will not tolerate anyone accusing me of doing something I never did. That is unacceptable at 50 years old. Or any other time, place, age. period! read more

I would get five stars to this establishment. For the value, close proximity to my house, and large number of available machines. The only thing I don't like is the area in this plaza attracts a lot of unsavory characters. I would suggest that you really watch your possessions while you're there. But as for the management and this establishment in general.. I was very satisfied with their service! read more

The machines and the place is usually clean but where this place fails is in the attendent. Why are they paying an attendant if they're never around to be found? If they're being paid, they should be off their butt and at least visible during operating hours, otherwise fire their butt. 3 instead of 5 stars due to lack of service. How are they supposed to take drop offs of laundry if no one is around? Also watch some of the machines cause they don't spin, leaving the laundry soaking wet. Revised 08/19 This place is usually clean. It is I've been washing clothes here for a while now and I haven't had any issues like I have in the past. The attendants aren't the friendliest people in the world, I think they're just here to clean and get paid and not be friendly. No public wifi. Revised 8/19 I come here for the convince, otherwise I'd go elsewhere. At night this they'll have the TVs off at 8pm and the place looking like it's closing at 9pm. The lady working here is awful! She refused to give me her name so I'm not sure if she was a manager or the owner. But she was so rude as soon as I stepped foot in this place. Came to wash a couple dog beds that wouldn't fit in my washing machine at home. Was given nasty looks and then she approached me and told me that I needed to vacuum the dog beds off first. I bring my dog beds to a laundromat 1x a week so I know the drill, I had vacuumed them already. Just moved to A new area so I was trying a new laundromat...She refused to let me put my dog beds in the washing machine and told me I needed to leave her business and stay out of her business. Walked in with clothes in bags, went to get change and was told by the attendant that she didn't see me put clothes in and that the change was for paying customers. How am I supposed to pay without change? After I explained and showed her the clothes, she told me to put them in the washer first then get change. Nawwww. I used to come in here in the mornings... and never had a problem. When i had to start coming at night it was a little bit scary because the homeless, and rude customers would hang out and sometimes bother us for change. I'm glad that they have attendants here at night now. The homeless aren't here anymore, and they keep the crazy customers away. read more

Laundrymat is clean, I see staff regularly cleaning, wiping down machines. It is bright and has good parking. 7 11 next door provides easy access to snacks or supplies you may need while waiting for your clothes. Ive always had enough access to washers and parking. Staff is friendly and knows how to treat and remove stains if asked. read more

This is the place where we always wash our clothes at! It's clean, the attendant is very nice to clients, if you have any doubt she is there to help. We've never had problems like there are not washing machines or dryers available, neither had a problem with the parking. The only thing that they could improve would be the a/c. I dont know if it's only me but i think on these days the place feels a little hot (plus the fact that washing/moving/drying clothes makes you sweat). I see they do have ac but they still havent turned it on. Anyway, we checked on other laundry places but in my opinion launderland was the best for us (also is very close from home ). read more

Do not ever leave your dry cleaning here! The complete lack of competence and general customer servic etiquette is horrible. I dropped off a few shirts and the guy didn't know any prices or how long it would take. He had me fill out the ticket because he didn't know what he was doing. He then told me they would call me when it was done... Wrong... I called this place around 20 times this week and finally someone picked up. When I expressed irritation at calling so many times and not hearing about my cleaning being done for several days, the girl gave me some incredible attitude and made me feel stupid because she had "been there every day all day". To add the icing to the cake, when I went to pick up my items, the girl was rude and had no idea what to charge me... Again... She fumbled around for a while until she finally figured out the prices which were extremely high for the little I had done. Wow!! I am an East county Native and this laundry mat is by far the cleanest I have been to. The manager keeps the laundry mat crisp clean not a single piece of lint on the ground. Highly recommended for those looking for a laundry mat that is cleaner than most and has a manager who actually cares about the community. read more

What a disappointment. Washed clothes fine but when it came to drying....had to dry clothes 3 times and they still weren't dry!!!! Each time I tried a different dryer as well. Asked the attendant if maybe I had put too much of a load in the dryer. She stated that the load size was fine and that "sometimes the machines work sometimes they don't." Didn't even care that I was wasting my time and money, she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Absolutely horrible customer service and very rude. As an owner you want someone who is professional and intuituve..she is both..I've seen her have to handle homeless situations and even people being belligerent and violent, and she manages to navigate the problems with extreme patience. I have no idea if the owners OF this establishment realize WHAT A JEWEL SHE IS AND how valuable a human being she is. The place is always clean, swept,and MAINTAINED. SHE TENDS TO EVERYTHING AND STILL MAKES PEOPLE FEEL AT HOME. I've been at LAUNDROMATS where owners are uppity and out of touch WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS and have no clue about the clientele, they just collect money and keep it moving BACK TO THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD. I know Raquel is not the owner but whomever they are, they should be very thankful that have HER to manage this business. if she wasn't there, it would NOT do as much business. I have been coming here for years to wash my massage sheets for my business. This morning there was a confrontation with the owners son. He accused me of physically assaulting him. The owner is welcome to call before I go further with my review. I am 55 years old with physical disabilities and he accused me of blocking and pushing him out of the way with my hips. Ha. I just wanted to get my laundry to the dryer. He did not know I was there and was annoyed because I wanted to get my laundry before he could get the quarters. I've been coming her for 6 plus years and used to enjoy washing my clothes here until today. I put my clothes in to wash and stood by the fan. Minutes later an employee came back from break. She had clothes washing and my baskets were near the machine. Instead of moving them to the side 2 inches she threw them on my machines. I went to her and said tou could have asked instead of throwing my cloths and baskets...and she's the employee!! I took my clothes out and left. No respect for other peoples belongings. Didn't use this place for my laundry because they require money cards that cost $2 and give the bonus of a free $2 when you load the card with $20 but then they jack up the price of a load of laundry 10% to make up the money. Rather go to the place on Mollison and Broadway. read more

At 1015pm my washer stopped working mid wash. I looked up for laundromats that was still open and thank goodness this place was open from 5 to 11. I got there at 1029 and the attendant said that the last wash is at 10, I explained my problem and he let me slide. I was able to wash my last load which took only 20 minutes. 5 stars for helping me out. read more

Dammit. I swore I would never come back, but I had no choice bc the other two laundromats I went to closed early. I thought I would be okay as long as I steered clear of the jerk that works here. The washer had a newspaper page inside so when I took out my clothes, they were ruined. I asked him for help, but all he said was "you should've looked in the machine before putting your clothes in." I understand no one aspires, at a young age, to be a laundromat attendant. I think performing any honest job WELL is admirable, regardless of financial return. The dark gentleman who was attending the mat today made zero effort to conceal his contempt for the people and the place where he was spending Easter. Returning to switch my laundry from washer to dryer he told me the floor was wet. I acknowledged this, appreciated his interest in my safety, and gingerly proceeded to the washer my sheets were in. He rolled his eyes and in haste, reminded me the floor was just mopped and to walk around. When I returned to retrieve my laundry, he shook his head like I was the stupidest person on the planet. Did laundry here about two weeks ago; HALF MY LAUNDRY WAS STOLEN!!! The other half was strewn all over the ground and machines. An attendant finally showed up at the laundromat for the first time I'd seen that night, had me fill out a complaint form, and told me that they could review the security tapes. That was 2 weeks ago; never heard anything back or even been contacted. I've been going to Launderland for a while now and haven't gotten around to writing a review. It's a great place! The attendants are friendly and helpful, and the machines are cheap and can fit a lot of clothes. I'm not sure where the reviewer below got the idea that this place uses cards...I've been going there for years and have never even seen a card machine there. They're strictly quarters. Another plus: If you happen to see the owners there, talk to them - they are super friendly and enjoy getting to know their customers. read more
