Date night to recently opened in Bluefield, West Virginia - The Vault - Words alone can not…read moredescribe this restaurant. We started the evening off with a handcrafted Bloody Mary that I have not been able to stop thinking about and what can only be described as a true masterpiece. For appetizers we enjoyed bruschetta, shrimp cocktail, and a caprese salad. The flavors were diverse, unique, and each bite was succulent to say the least. For entree's Genna ordered the Filet tenderloin and I ordered the Ribeye. A symphony on a plate. Incredible. Our steaks were prepared perfectly in temperature and the flavors of each bite was incredible. I am typically hesitant on ordering baked potatoes in restaurants, the loaded baked potato that came as a side option with our entree was possibly the best baked potato I've ever eaten. Our service was absolutely phenomenal - top class. The staff at The Vault welcomed us warmly and was very attentive throughout our entire meal and ensured our experience was a memorable one to not soon forget and they certainly achieved. As we were leaving we were assisted on a tour to the bottom level of the restaurant, in what used to be the banks cash vault which has been renovated into a cigar lounge, it was beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. If you have not been, please go and enjoy this special gem of a restaurant in West Virginia. I cannot wait to see where this culinary journey takes The Vault, because it is certainly one with one destination, success.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The RailYard is hands down one of the best…read morerestaurants I've ever been to, and it's right here in Bluefield. From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.

We showed early for our reservation and immediately seated. Menu has changed in last few months so they appear to be constantly improving. Appetizer and salad showed at the same time which I might not have preferred but as we shared 1 app with 2 people and had 2 salads worked. All the serving were tasty. I preferred my salmon and risotto while partner preferred his beef and grits, Caesar salad won over Brussels spout salad. Bottle of Malbec was appropriate to price as was after dinner port. Goat cheese ice cream was divine. Will return for our next visit in August because I love the vibe. Owner check on us twice which says a lot for the "why we go here" place... check it out and if you like the hometown vibe and dinner menu options I think you'll be more than satisfied

The bread was yummy and the shrimp for appetizer. The main dishes we got were the catfish stir fry and lobster tacos. Both delicious! Catfish defo does not have a fishy taste at all. I also got a spritzer drink with Berry purée.

This location is…read moredefinitely one of the more popular spots in town, especially since it was Homecoming night at a local high school when we went. If you can, I'd recommend checking in and joining the waitlist beforehand so you can get seated as quickly as possible. Like most Texas Roadhouse locations, the atmosphere was buzzing and lively with all the college football games playing, the staff were super nice and attentive, and the food was excellent. My usual order is the rare Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and Steak Fries -- with a side of creamy horseradish, of course! The salads at TR are always solid, the steak fries were especially crispy that day, and the prime rib was perfect: super tender, perfectly cooked, and not overly fatty. My sister also tried their Full Slab Ribs for the first time, which are supposedly award-winning, but I personally wouldn't give them that much credit. While the ribs were tender and well-cooked, they lacked seasoning. The BBQ sauce was there, but it didn't add much flavor. Maybe it was just an off day, but I'd call them mediocre at best. All in all, this Texas Roadhouse lives up to its reputation for great service and solid steaks -- but maybe skip the ribs and stick with the classics.
