The dining area is spacious, and sits on the New River at the base of the New River Gorge. You order old school, walk up to a window, simple menu, then either dine in or head out. This was pretty bad. I'm still not quite okay. I ate lunch at Aziza Pizza and Subs. I wanted…read moresomething a little different because I always end up at the DQ in Hinton. This place is under new management and it looked like they had good reviews. However, I really wondered when I pulled up and saw only one couple there eating lunch... not to mention the open sign was turned off. I should have trusted my gut. I ordered a cold Italian sub because I was in a hurry. I wasn't a huge fan of the prices. A sub and a drink was $15. Don't even get me started on the prices of calzones!!! At first glance, the sub looked promising. Then, I took a bite. The cheese was old and dried out. It was kind of like when my son forgets to close up the Great Value provolone cheese bag in my fridge, and I don't figure it out for a week... THAT KIND OF HARD. So, I started tearing the cheese off in hopes of salvaging the sandwich. However, then I started noticing the meat didn't quite taste right either. I started looking closer. The meat didn't look too good or fresh. I tried to have an open mind (hoping I was just being over-critical because of the cheese), and I ate almost one half. However, the more I ate, the worse it tasted. I paid for the food and hopped into my car. That's when my stomach started LITERALLY crying out. Those were not happy little gurgles. Those were "you're gonna be hurting in a little bit, little girl" belly roars. Yep, my stomach was so angry, it was threatening me. This is one place I'm gonna remember, but for all of the wrong reasons... whew...

They literally come up to your car, take your order, and bring your food back. I loved the old school feel. It took no time for my food to arrive-about 7 minutes. I got a burger, onion rings, and a hotdog all the way. The onion rings were fresh, hot, and had the perfect amount of salt. The burger was well seasoned, had that crisp, grilled taste. The hotdog was good as well-chili was perfect. It was such a nostalgic feel and definitely a must visit for the experience.

Update #3 yesterday I got a phone call from another administrator and he wanted to hear again what…read morehappened, because they want to make changes and address this issues. Wow I was impressed and this is the Chick-fil-A treatment that I excepted. By the way the gentleman name is Dennis and he also agreed that he was the best ever. We need more of this so make the call and take the name note to self. This is why I'm going from a 1 start to 4. Update: Today I called and I wish I had taken the name of the manager that answered me. She was very apologetic and told me that she was going to check in this matter and that the gentleman is the sweetest person ever. I'm going to call back and get his name because as kind and nice as she was to me I want to be to him. I hope that the manager at that time can learn from this experience and treat customers better. If I could give this place a zero I would! The the only person that deserves it, is the older man working cleaning around being so kind and trying to make me not feel upset for being ignored. I arrived 5 minutes before they started lunch and placed my order in the app. The first thing that I asked the worked that is outside checking you in or taking orders was am I ok or do I need to cancel and order lunch and she said you are fine, the order went through and do you need to add anything else and i said no thanks. The line was long and they are super super slow. We have been in line for 10 minutes and only two cars have moved when my app notification says pull around your order is ready. We were confused as we have like 7 cars in front of us not even moving. We were traveling so we don't know how this place works. You need training from our people here at a chick fil A . We go around and I go inside and asked for my order to an employee and explain I came from the drive thru, he goes and ask and comes back with nada nothing. I tell him that I got a notification, one of their manager I imagine in gray comes and asks me and tells me that I ordered during breakfast and the app cancels and leaves me there without even offering to help or an option. I called her back as I have a notification and she says did you order with the worker up front and after I said yes she said I don't think so. At this point I'm frustrated it's our second day driving back home after a great vacation and drive and this lady just ruined my day. I want to give a shout out to the decent older man that works there and try so hard to make things better by saying maybe there is going to be an accident and this is why you are being late (bless his heart) he was so sweet. I go to the car to get my phone and show to the manager or whoever gray tshirt was and when I come back she has my order and not even an apology. I will bookmark this one to never stop here again and now I know why your reviews are so bad! We wasted 30 minutes in this stop and a stupid argument not needed. Worst Chick-fil-A ever.
