This place put a pepper in my lunch that was so hot that I had an aneurysm and almost died when I called them about it they could not be bothered to talk to me about the quality of their food The pepper was placed in lunch what I usually had an Anaheim mild chili and in place they put in what I believe was cooked next to or was itself a ghost pepper. What concerns me is that when I call them to bring it up they did not care and that did not let me speak to the manager I have eaten hot food my entire life and have a very high tolerance but I feel like this was very irresponsible of them. Been coming here for years and still enjoy their delicious food. Wanted to get something to go and decided to try something new. The girl that was helping me was very nice and gave me a good recommendation. I ended up getting the carnitas chipotle burrito. It was huge! The sauce was flavorful and had the perfect spice. Very happy with my choice. Their avocado habanero green salsa is very good, not really a fan of the red salsa. The menu is easy to read with lots of pics. Although the food here is always good, the service is not. My husband and I just got home with our food when we noticed that the tacos that we ordered with no toppings came with toppings, he promptly went back and went inside to ask if he can have the correct order. The woman who originally helped us in the drive thru argued with him instead of just making things right-saying that he never told her to make them plain, which he of course did because they were for our children. Another employee stepped in and helped, remaking the food. As the other employee did this, the woman gave a dirty look, took the original food, and threw it in the trash. We loved this place, but we will not be back. Response to owner: Would you return to an establishment that mistreated you, especially one that offered something like tacos, that are easily found elsewhere? While I appreciate the response, it seems like a standard "sorry about that", with nothing else to offer. I used to love this place. It was a great place for quick tacos and other foods. They started using a rotisserie cooker called Trompo. The meat is now often burnt hard and fatty. This is a solid five-star restaurant. I wanted tacos and went to the nearest Mexican restaurant to Clark College. I got a 4-taco meal (two al pastor & two carne asada) and will say that these were some of the best I've had in the area so far. Service was great as well. Moved to Vancouver recently and want to try the new local spots. My husband used to go here when he was in college and remembered it well. We gave it a try again and it's now a Weird point between fast food vibe, but sit down prices. You drive through, and order 3 taco plate. You never know w tacos. They could be small, could be the 5-6" ones full of toppings. Unfortunately this was the former. 3 itty bitty tacos (3-4" across) and a 1/2 cup of rice and beans is 15$ . You can get four tacos w more meat and a side of beans across the street at taco time for 10$. It doesn't taste substantially better to justify the price even with a smaller portion. The rice and beans didn't have much flavor. The tacos only had meat and a little pico. Just plain overpriced. The restaurant industry has the unfortunate process that people don't really give places multiple chances, at least in this economy lol. Even if you make decent money, if you're spending 30$ on a meal you'd expect more food or a fun experience. You could get the same vibe at a sit down Mexican American place and at least get free chips and salsa and music. Skip it. read more

Solid food, good portions, will order again. Ordered via Doordash a beef burrito plate, paloma azul with champinones filling, quesadilla, and 3 fish tacos. The burrito was really good, that sauce was excellent. The Paloma azul had too much cheese for my filling, and the tortilla was a little hard, but it wasn't bad. The fish tacos were okay, though lacking in cilantro; they benefited strongly from a good salsa i already owned. My biggest downside for this restaurant was that you don't get any salsa or sauces for free. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty solid, hence the 4 stars. read more

Ordered Delivery thru DoorDash from El Antojo last night. I had a 3 Taco Combo (Adobada, Asada & Pollo style) which comes with a Soda a marinated Jalapeno, Carrot and Radish, Limes & Cooked Onion. Also ordered the Pollo en Mole Combo with an extra side of Salsa & Chips. The Soda and Chips n Salsa never gpt delivered, they were missing. DoorDash reimbursed me $6.50 for the missing items. While the Taco's ranged from better than OK to Pretty Good the Pollo en Mole was pretty Bad. All Mole sauces I've ever tried were slightly different but all had that Jamaican Jerk sauce flavor with a hint of Peanut & Chocolate added. This Mole was OK but didn't taste Fresh at all. The Pollo (Chicken) was a different story. Some pieces were inedible and like leather. I had to spit them out. Only a Very Few pieces were not overcooked and chewy and as with the Mole Sauce, didn't taste Fresh at all. With the half dozen times I've ordered prepared Food Delivery, 4 of them had missing items/portions, were Really Bad quality & Freshness or cold. I'm sure that at least in one instance the Delivery Driver had helped themselves, if not more than once. The Other trend I've noticed is that the prepared food Delivery Services are used to offload Bad Quality or Old Food and even Spoiled Food because you can't complain to the waitress or return it. I probably won't have Prepared Food Delivered again and will only go to a fast food restaurant if Dining In. As a Note, El Antojo provided plenty of Good napkins, utensils and Green and Red Hot Sauces which were Both Good as well as the Corn Tortillas. This Restuarant used a Sealed Bag to put the food into which isn't done by enough of the prepared food delivery Restaurant's, so as to avoid temptation by the Delivery Driver. I had a Female Delivery Driver tell me recently that it was All She Could Do to keep from tasting the Dinner she was Delivering because it smelled so good. Poor service. Drive through is a questionable experience - never quite know if what you order is what you get. As others have noted - check your receipts but be prepared for the dumb act when you question the fraud. I've been charged meal prices for ala carte items and have had item charges on the receipts don't match the menu prices.
