Before finding Caribbean Auto Sales, my son and I reviewed ads from Craigslist and test drove many cars - but we always got hung up over car inspections and wanted to have the car pass inspection before we purchased a car. Finally, one of the ads on craigslist led me to Silviu at Carribean Auto Sales. The car was exactly what we wanted and they worked within my son's budget. They were able to deliver on everything the promised: new timing belt, limited warrantees, and tags & title paperwork done on premises. Now, we just have to wait for the official title from MVA - but it was really nice not to have to go to MVA in person!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Joppa Car & Truck, and especially Samantha. She is…read morethe definition of going above and beyond. I walked in not knowing if I was even going to be able to get into a reliable vehicle, and where everyone else seemed to have a reason to say "no," Samantha said "YES." She didn't just sell me a car -- she genuinely cared about helping me find a vehicle that I could feel confident in. The car she put me in is absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean, and mechanically perfect. I have had zero issues with it. The standard and quality of the vehicle were far beyond what I expected, especially considering the deal Samantha was able to put together for me. She worked with me, listened to me, and treated me like a person rather than just another sale. And then there was the moment that really showed me what kind of person Samantha is. While I was looking at the car, another customer actually tried to bully her into giving them the car I was looking at. Samantha could have easily given in -- especially because she didn't even know yet whether I was going to say yes to the vehicle. Instead, she stood by me and saved the car for me. She gave me the opportunity to make my own decision rather than allowing someone else to pressure her into taking it away. That meant more to me than she probably realizes. Throughout the entire process, Samantha showed me genuine compassion, patience, kindness, and care. She never made me feel embarrassed about my circumstances, never made me feel like I was asking for too much, and never treated me like I was just another number walking through the door. She advocated for me when she didn't have to. She said YES when everyone else said NO. And she didn't just put me in a car -- she put me in a quality vehicle that I can actually feel proud of and trust. The deal she gave me, the condition of the car, and the way she treated me throughout the entire experience are something I won't forget. Samantha, thank you. You could have just done your job, but you chose to care. You chose to work with me. You chose to save that car for me when you had no guarantee I was even going to buy it. And you chose to treat me with dignity and compassion. That is the kind of customer service people remember. If you're looking for a vehicle, go see Samantha at Joppa Car & Truck. Tell her what you need and give her the opportunity to work with you. I walked in hoping for a chance, and I drove away in a car I absolutely love. Samantha didn't just sell me a car. She helped me when I needed someone to say YES. And for that, I will always be grateful.

Horrible body shop, and horrible people skills…read more The first time I took my car here was because they were recommended to me by my vintage car insurance company. The car looked good when it was finally returned 5 week later. Two or three weeks after I picked it up the clear coat started turning milky. When I brought this to the owners attention he said bring it back in the spring and I'll wet sand it and it will be fine. During my "wait till spring" my vintage Mercedes got keyed on the hood and trunk lid. I called Smitty, the owner, and he said please bring it in March 25th, 2019. This was two weeks after the incident occurred. I brought my car in and it sat for three weeks...he couldn't even take 5 minutes and get the estimate to the insurance company. My insurance company even threatened to close the claim due to the lack of response from this business. At three weeks Smitty finally got an estimate to my insurance company. After being told my car would be ready by the following Monday Smitty told me that was no longer the case because he was going out of town for 10 days and it would be some time after his return before my car would be fixed! I asked "why didn't you tell me that when we spoke on Monday?" Smitty said "cuz it's none of your business." Seriously??? It is completely my business as you are in possession of my property. I explained that I would not be moving forward with the repairs and my car would be towed elsewhere by the end of the day. I have made arrangements to have my car towed to my usual body shop at Koons Ford and the cost for the towing will probably fall on me. The price was reasonable, service was good, and they turned off the oil change light and TPMS light. As for the gas, I've only filled up a few times because the price is high. I understand, it's the city and land isn't cheap, but for me, I am usually looking for a lower price, so it's only been during an emergency that I've used the gas pumps. But, it's nice to have a gas station so close by in case it's needed, which it has been a few times.
