There was some type of issue with ordering the system and my dad showed them the charge to his bank account AND the employees were able to retrieve the order. Second time I've been over the course of 3 days while visiting family. Einstein's used to be my all time favorite place to go! My.., has it gone downhill. Out of eggs before they closed. Out of the basic bagels before they closed. Limited on flavors for coffee. I asked for butter and took a bite once in the car and it was cream cheese- Im lactose intolerant so my day has turned sh*tty (quite literally) one of the staff members had her purse on trying to leave early so I'm sure my coffee has milk in it too. The person making the very simple bagel order couldn't be bothered to look up. Really disappointed that my once favorite place to come to a few years ago is so run down and has terrible service and selections. read more

Terrible experience. I ordered a lox bagel lunch lightly toasted to be ready at 12:10 because I have a timed lunch hour. The app lets you pick a time, asks for the description of your car and even lets you check in when you get there. I checked in at 12:20 and waited about 5 min then went in because half my lunch is over by now. Asked about my curb side order and they looked at me like a deer in head lights. "We don't do curbside". Handed me my order and told me to grab my own bag of chips. By the time I get back to my desk to eat it's completely cold so there was no point in getting it toasted. The cream cheese was spread so thin it was translucent and the onions were cut about 1/2" thick. All I could taste (and my co-workers could smell) for the rest of the day was onion. The lox had a fishy taste and did not taste fresh and I was sick by the end of the day. No thank you, I will not be returning. Too many others places to choose from in Tyler. Too bad because Noah's bagels in California was my absolute favorite. This place? Fa get about it! read more

Fairly new to Tyler and wanted to try the local Einstein's on a Saturday morning. When I entered there were 3 tables with customers and no one in line. I walked up to the counter and patiently waited while 3 different employees walked back and forth in front of me behind the counter and never greeted me or offered assistance. I continued to wait several minutes and unbelievably they continued to dismiss me. I have no idea why, I was dressed nicely and it was obvious that I was ready to order. Finally, after waiting about 4-5 minutes I left. I will not be back ever again. Absolutely unacceptable and rude lack of service. I'm not a regular here (only come in 2-3 times a month) so maybe that's why I get crappy service. When I was in 8/17 I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches, 2 drinks, and 2 muffins. It totaled around $30.00. My sandwich order was wrong and my cheese wasn't melted on my sandwich but I didn't complain. 3 of the 4 coffee urns were empty and I didn't complain. My muffin was wrong and I didn't complain. BUT here's where my issue is. WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR BUTTER AFTER I SPENT $30.00 AND RECEIVED THE WRONG ORDER???? Seriously?? I have had their coupons on my fridge for a while now, so I finally decided to pay them a visit this morning. Parking lot was clean, the customers that were there had plenty of social distancing space, and the cashier was very helpful. I had my eye set on "The All-nighter". And despite drooling at the many varieties of bagels spread across the display case, I still did not have an idea on the actual size. Hands down, best breakfast to go I have ever had. I'm not much of a bread person, but the bagel that the cashier recommended, went perfectly with the egg-bacon-melty cheese-jalapeño garlic aioli party going on in my mouth. Always out of bagel's. Everything seams to have an up-charge from the menu price. Example if they do have a bagel available it will cost a dollar more than other bagel's because its classified as special. If you get a sandwich you are charged 50 cents for every veggie item on top of menu price. 5.50 sandwich ended up being 10 bucks by the time up-charges were done from adding produce and because they were out of the bagel it came with I had to pay extra 60 cents to use another bagel. - Customer service is lacking, many employees are very unhappy or just rude and impatient. Food is okay and its the only bagel shop in tyler so...no real other choice. Be prepared to wait extensively to get your bagel's. Was not impressed with the coffee, close in price to Starbucks Cream cheese is really over priced - they only have 6oz in each 8oz tub - when you peel off top cream cheese is half way down. If only there was a Blue Sky or Noah's Bagels in town. Overall - Needs new Management, needs to fix over pricing. Need to make a bit more effort on sandwich making. 1/2" cut cucumbers and onions on a bagel sandwich does not work well. Make veggies cheaper and cut them thinner. read more

It's like they played not it when it came to taking our order. When we finally got our order taken it was like I cussed her out or told her that her dog died. I won't go back. For $3 I can get two whole bagels and a smile at Panera. I've never had this bad of service for a decent bagel and a coffee with too much milk. I've gone to eat here twice already, I had a good chat with my friend I ordered a classic egg and it was delicious, the best part was that it was freshly made it didn't taste as if it was taken out from the freezer. Our order didn't take long to come out, there wasn't a lot of people to start with. The second time I came here i was happy because it was morning and I'm expecting my breakfast to go well but my friend and I sat and chatted for about 20 minutes until I realized that our food hadn't been out, and I asked them about my order and they said it must have been wiped out from the screen. I don't understand how 6 people can come in and get their order within 4 minutes and my order gets wiped out, after 3 minutes my order came out and the manager apologized he also gave me and my friend four coupons to get four free orders on drinks and food for next time. You will stand in line for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging your existence. Decent quality. I order the same thing every time - The Thintastic Chicken Pesto with extra pesto and balsamic - And sometimes it's fantastic. Others, the chicken is chewy (undercooked possibly?) and my teeth bounce off of it. The one time that I chose to branch out and tried their Nova Lox on an Everything bagel, it was superb! Their vanilla cold brew is delicious - A perfect blend of coffee flavor and rich sweetness. And the waitstaff, while not overly friendly, usually get the job done. I recommend avoiding the chicken if possible, but all else seems fairly solid. - - - - - I actually came back to amend my first review of 3 stars down to 2 after multiple times of them getting our very simple order wrong and never doing a thing about it. The same manager is on duty every time and actually knows our faces because of all of the instances where we've had to politely step back up to the counter to have something re-made or pick up what they forgot and she just mouths, "I'm sorry" and walks away. The rest of the staff spends more time pointing fingers ("There's a new guy on the line"; "I wasn't here this morning, so-and-so brewed the tea") than just owning up as a whole and making right on their mistakes. Their food (when right) is great, but their lack of appreciation and care for their patrons, especially their regulars, causes us to be extremely hesitant to support them further. read more

The most frustrating catering experience I've ever had. After being told several times over the phone that the driver was "pulling in now" to our location, he never showed. We eventually had to meet the driver 4 miles away from our location to pick up the food, which arrived an hour after our event started. It took several weeks to get a manager over the phone, and they refused to refund any of our money, even the delivery fee. All they offered was a 15% discount on our next order and to waive the next delivery fee. Will definitely not be ordering from them again. read more

After waiting over 30 minutes for our food I asked when our ONE bagel would be ready. She said they were running behind and needed my receipt. Einstein's has become our team's breakfast stop. However, I have issues. It's not very often I eat an actual breakfast, though I seem to be doing that much more often now. The bagels are good, no one can argue that. On two occasions our orders were wrong. Blueberry bagel instead of muffin and then no muffin at all. I should have known when they asked me if I wanted my muffin toasted (but he said muffin in the query), so I said "no" and moved on. 3 stars for what could have been at least 4 for the very excellent bagels and decent muffins, but check your order. This place has the worst management I have ever seen. Have visited multiple times & they are always out of something important, whether it's sugar, bacon for sandwiches, napkins, or even actual bagels! Plus, we always end up waiting 20-30 minutes time for one reason or another. Even worse, they offer 6 and 12 packs of bagels, but if you buy them to eat there, they refuse to toast them and expect you to eat cold bagels, unless you pay more money for them to be "a la carte." (It takes them less than one minute to toast them.) Disgusting! If I want a cold bagel, I will go to Walmart.
