We eat here at least once a week and the last 2 times we have been into this location the customer service has been horrible. The staff are not friendly and act like it's an inconvenience to make our food. Service was friendly... I ordered a gluten free sub. It was really delicious.... The staff said they understood cross contamination and prepared it in a separate area with gloves on... Problem is I don't think they know if everything on it is also gluten free. The meats, cheeses, dressing. I got sick the last two times I ate there. Came in last night to stop and get a sandwich. Was the only person waiting in line at the counter. Had one guy look over at me and then continue on with whatever he was doing without saying a word. Had two other employees walk out from the back and see me waiting there to be helped and still nothing. Continued to wait for about approximately five minutes and still didn't here a word from them. They had the longest line with 4 people working. The workers were so slow and didn't care. I could have taken a long nap in the time it took for them to make my sandwich. They got the order all wrong and were very rude. Even the manager. Said we would never be back again and the worker said ok. Didn't try and fix things. These people are just stupid! We were here on 3-2-2024 at about 7:00pm. The girl tried to charge me a regular for a mini. If I didn't say anything she would have gotten away with it. Stay away from this location. read more

Really been craving a great Philly cheesesteak so I decided to try jersey mikes. I ordered the chipotle Philly cheesesteak which was outstanding. The bread is much better than the chewy crap you get at subway. Plus the meat is sliced fresh to order. A friend suggested I get the #99 (secret menu item) which is basically a big kahuna cheesesteak with chipotle Mayo and jalapeños. Also outstanding. Great sandwich and friendly service! This location is frequently busy, but they keep the line moving. I love the fresh sliced deli meat and the bread is the perfect combo of soft in the middle with a crusty exterior. Turkey is my go to, but the Philly cheesesteak is the best you'll find in Tyler (I grew up near Philly). We always enjoy eating outside, they have a few tables undercover which is perfect. read more

I've had cheese steak sandwiches in philly and in other states Where the owners are from philly. Literally the worst customer service ever! My fiancé went to pick up an order he placed online and he had a coupon for chips and a drink. The online ordering didn't allow him to use the coupon so he just ordered the sandwich. When he arrived the boy behind the counter asked him what he needed. He informed him he was their to pick up his sandwich and that he had a coupon that he wasn't able to use online. The young man said verbatim, "I don't know what the fuck i'm doing or how to do that". As a manager, my fiancé looked at him astonished and asked him what he needed to do. Should I just take the chips and drink? The young man looked at him and said very snarky, "take the chips and drink and next time you can thank me with a tip" and he pointed to the tip jar. My fiancé called the manager and informed him of his employee and the only thing the manager could say was "We have been very shorthanded and busy" and that they were frustrated. I'm sorry this is no excuse. He should have been fired on the spot. You don't speak that way in front of or to customers. read more

Will this sandwich give me magical powers? It should...I paid enough... I went here for the first time today, because I love a good sub sandwich, and what did I find...rude people and insane prices. I wasn't sure what sizes their sandwiches were (how big is 'Giant'). I'm assuming that for $11, the Giant must be at least 18-24 inches. No...the Giant is just a footlong, which costs TWICE AS MUCH as any other normal sandwich shop. I was disgusted at the pricing and that people actually paid this often enough to keep them in business! Then, everyone who worked there was very rude, it was like my business inconvenienced whatever they could have been doing. The only saving grace on the price was that I had a buy one get one free coupon, but still my footlong sub cost $7, which is still more than I'm used to paying anywhere else. Now that I have eaten my sandwich, I can report that it was very mediocre. Nothing had much flavor to it and it was all pretty bland. Also, part of my bun was wet, and I'm not sure how that would've happened? Regardless, I do not believe I will be returning to Jersey Mike's anytime soon. So, your experience here will really depend on who is working behind the counter. I've encountered everything from great service and great sandwiches to the rude, strange, and uncomfortable... It's evident that some people want to be there, some people don't. Just when I think I can give it 5 stars, someone inevitably gets snarky with the "do you want it Mike's way?" question (I want some of the ingredients not all ok?) or tries to wrap up my sandwich way before I'm done ordering. Or worse, is overly friendly and asks really personal questions while your sandwich is at their mercy. But the sandwiches are awesome!! So grow a thick skin, cross your fingers, and enjoy. There seems to be a high turnover rate of employees here so don't let my review deterr you, just be prepared. If there is a trainer reading this, maybe take a page from Chipotle and have the employees just smile and make the sandwich... please. read more
