The lady taking our order was just flat out rude. When she asked us for our order we started telling her and she just turned around and started telling her coworker something then reached into the trash can and pulled out a receipt and then clipped it above where the food was being prepared. After she does this she turned around and took our order but seemed very annoyed when we asked a question about a sandwich, so annoyed that I just decided to get something else cause she could not answer all my questions with out making me feel uncomfortable. SO THEN I tell her I want a sandwich with turkey, lettuce, ANDDD CHEESE. And my sandwich was of course entered in wrong so it had to cheese. At that point I just threw away most of it and left. We ordered online. Order included pasta and potato salad in order along with pickles, and the sandwich's cut in half. Had to go back the salads were not in the bag. Get to hospital and no pickles, sandwiches were not cut in half and one of the sandwiches was made with mustard and that was not requested. Jimmy John's is now on Broadway. Best subs you can get. My favorite is the Spicy Italian. Can't get enough of it. We go and get one for lunch and bring one home for dinner. I sometimes get a third one for a late night snack. I wish they would open back up in Longview. read more

Jimmy John's claims to make gourmet subs, which makes me think that maybe the definition of gourmet is all wrong. Sorry, there is absolutely nothing gourmet or impressive about Jimmy John's. I ate there once. I could have easily made the sub they sold me with one simple trip to the supermarket. Basically, Jimmy John's is no better than one could make at home, and they are even less impressive than Subway. If you want a really good sub, go to Firehouse, or anywhere but Jimmy John's. read more

I have been to two of the Jimmy John's locations in Tyler and they are consistent so that's great. I like the sandwiches and the ingredients are fresh and made right in front of customers. You can ask them not to put "tomatoes" on your sandwich and they will do that, but don't ask them to change the condiments like mayo or mustard. My daughter once asked if she could have a slim sandwich with no condiments but asked if they could put a bit of olive oil and vinegar instead and they said, No. I was really annoyed by that. I guess she was used to getting her sandwich they way she likes, like they do at Subway. They had oil and vinegar on other sandwiches but she was not interested in those particular ones. Kids can be picky eaters, and I was surprised they would not do that for an 8 year old girl. She is 11 now and still not too interested in mustard or mayo. The sandwiches are tasty but sometimes they are a bit heavy handed with the mayo and I really don't like too much mayo. The Gargantuan is a large sandwich with several types of meat and it's one of our family favorites. The prices are a bit high. They have a couple different flavors of chips The chips are those really hard kind, Miss Vickie's kettle chips and I don't much care for them. You can also get an individually wrapped cookie and they are pretty good. The dining areas are kept clean and bathrooms are fine. They have sweet and unsweet tea as well as a sodas fountain drink style that you can get yourself. The last time I went here I got two gargantuans to go, one with no tomatoes and noticed once I got home that they slathered it in mayo. Oh geesh, I really could have done without that. The mayo was so thick the cheese was trying to slide out of the sandwich and it was super messy. If you are particular or have picky eaters, go somewhere else. If not then give them a try. read more

This Jimmy Johns is great! The hours are also till 10pm which is frustrating when you want an awesome midnight snack. Many Jimmy Johns are open late, especially in college towns. There's also a backorder on the sprouts which makes the #12 Beach Club INCREDIBLE. Besides all of that, I love Jimmy Johns with an unconditional love. read more

I was traveling through Texas and really wanted some JJ's. When we first entered the store I immediately noticed that none of the employees were in dress code. This included no hats, aprons, and one employees shirt was tied in the front like a crop top to show off her belly button piercing (she was also in the shortest shorts as possible). The reason I know this is because I worked at jimmy johns for two years. I was a little appalled by this since it's a corporate policy- and doesn't matter where you go- the policies are the same. ( Where I worked, if an area manager/manager saw what she was wearing. She'd be immediately fired.) The food was actually good but I noticed that the crop top belly button girl had no clue what she was doing and it was PAINFUL for me to watch her put mayo on the bread... she did it so slow and terribly. For someone to be "bread cutter" you need to be able to cut and put mayo on the bread in 6 seconds flat - precisely. She honestly looked like she had no clue what she was doing and looked like a bimbo just standing there and waiting for directions. They were also painfully slow but I don't hold that against them. There was one fault in the food, they had forgotten the avocado on one sandwich which was a $1.25 charge. We didn't go to get it corrected because we wanted no conflict and knew what it was like to have bitchy customers. The sandwich was still delicious, but there needs to be more enforcement at this location. read more

Today at the Troup Hwy JJ there was an older lady on the phone with her gloves on, she finishes on the phone and goes over to help make sandwiches. Before doing so begins to scratch her head with her gloves on, then proceeds to make sandwiches with the same gloves. The younger lady who is already making sandwiches has 1" long neon fingernails filed to a point and they had poked through her gloves. Needless to say both defeated the purpose of wearing gloves.
