This location is pretty decent. Food was what you would expect add any einstein. There were a couple of times I was in a rush, and they were able to accommodate that. Nova lox is made no worse than other locations. The turkey sausage is decent. Bagels are toasted. Usually the service is slow but if pressed they are able to make it quickly. I am super loyal to this place & order from the app at least 1-3X a week out of convenience, but I'm getting really tired of them messing up my order. I always get 2 bagel sandwich's for my boyfriend & I & the inconsistent quality is a bit ridiculous. I will not come back to this place! First time trying Einstein Bagels, I have one by my house but I always just go to Starbucks because the online ordering is easy. Today Starbucks was backed out the door so I popped into Einstein and decided to give it a try. The customer service (minus 2 people) was so unprofessional and unacceptable it makes me worry about humanity. It wasn't your typical rude people you encounter occasionally, it was the inability to read the room and work through a busy time. The young lady (orange shirt, visor hat) who was making the food was loud and obnoxious talking about customers and how she has "no sympathy for people who order on a holiday and are upset when something is out of stock". I stood at the counter to order waiting to order listening to her rant about customers. A young light brown skinned girl asked her is she should take my order and she replied "no we have no eggs it's pointless to take an order". Not once did she look at me and at least say "we are out of eggs so it will just be a minute" like any person should do in customer service. A few minutes later an older lady in a blue shirt took my order. She was incredibly kind and seemed annoyed with the young girl making orders. I went down to pay and the cashier was also super nice in our interaction. The whole time the orange shirt girl with the visor was just being unhelpful. There were online orders with bagels they didn't have and she was offering no solutions only saying to customers "I don't know what you want me to do we don't have those bagels" while pointing to the empty tray. The customer is like "ok well can I change my order" and she offered no solutions. I got to my car to eat and my $9 bagel sandwich was not edible. I paid for an extra egg white and did not get it. There was so much salsa on it I couldn't pick it up without making a HUGE mess and the bagel was stuck to the paper with all the cheese melted onto the paper. It was disgusting. I just picked the turkey sausage off and enjoyed that. Any wonder if I should try Einstein bagels is now gone. I will not be back and I hope that someone in charge (although when a customer asked for the corporate number to get a refund the young girl said "there is no corporate number ") sees this review and provides some customer service training to include how to work through busy times because calm under pressure is a skill she did NOT have. Haven't been to an Einstein's Bagel since 2017 and now I remember why. The place is not busy but there are 3 people working and the restaurant is a mess. No table is clean, the floor has tons of crumbs and small bits of trash everywhere. The man who took our order rushed us despite not having anyone else waiting. He also didn't explain the process (you order from him and pay at the next register - pointless extra step). He also got my husband's name wrong. The cost of a six cheese bagel was $3.98!!! Panera's are $1.88. I asked for butter in the side so they scooped some of there community butter into a small container. It was full of crumbs from other bread items. So gross. Who doesn't love a good bagel? I don't come to this specific location often, but it's closest to work and when we have training sessions or office events that require bagels, I always stop here to pick up a dozen bagels and what ever else we may need. It's located inside a shopping center so parking here's easy as can be. The staff here's always so helpful and friendly, regardless if it's busy or quiet inside. They have a great variety of bagels to choose from and the coffee here's delicious as well. (I think they brew Caribou last time I checked.) Prices can't be beat and most everything's fresh. The place is well stocked for the most part and I'm in and out in no time, which makes life so much easier. read more

I love the breakfast sandwiches here at Einstein. They are always consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. Whenever I come out this way to visit family, I am the designated breakfast person. No matter if I'm ordering for just myself, or 5 other people, this Einstein's is always accommodating and quick. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes, even on a busy weekend morning. Customer service is great. Friendly enough, and always quick and efficient. I so appreciate that. This location does have doggy bagels. Our dogs love them. You can find them at the register either individually or pre-packaged. In terms of Covid, I think this location has been handling things pretty well. They do have a sign outside on the door that says no more than 5 people inside, but I've never witnessed anyone following that "rule", nor anyone enforcing it. They have blocked off all indoor seating and you do follow a loop around the store to order and pay. They do have some tables marked off for door dash, uber eats, and whatever other delivery services are out there. All employees are wearing masks, and gloves. They do have hand sanitizer at the door. I'm rarely a huge fan of chain restaurants but I have to make an exception for Einstein Bros. Bagels. It consistently has some of the best gourmet bagels and double whipped schmear around. I never liked cream cheese all that much until Einstein's schmear turned me into a cream cheese convert. The whipped schmear is so fluffy and light. I also love the cheese bagels - six cheese, jalapeno cheddar, green chile, and cheesy hash brown - they are all delicious and my favorite go-to items. Einstein bagels are very soft and still taste great a day later if you are buying extra to last a few mornings. I've tried other bagel places and found the bagels to be too hard and chewy. So far I've tried one of the signature breakfast sandwiches, the Farmhouse, with eggs, bacon, smoked ham, and cheddar cheese, on a cheesy hash brown gourmet bagel. Really good and definitely beats a typical fast-food breakfast. I like this location in Troy. The workers are friendly, the store is spacious, and I haven't had a problem with getting the bagels I want if I go in the morning. This was our go to spot for Sunday morning breakfast. I moved so I tried another location this past week and quickly realized why we love this one so much. We will be driving to this location from now on! lol I love to come for the Vanilla Hazelnut coffee and creamer. I also love their breakfast sandwiches and the Monday dozen special. If you come here often, I suggest signing up for their rewards program and receive the e-mails. You get a pretty nice birthday reward and the points add up quick. The spinach and bacon breakfast sandwich and the nova lox are my two favorite breakfast items. My son loves the turkey sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a blueberry bagel. I thought it sounded weird until I tried it...it's actually pretty good! The employees are really nice, the space is big and it does get very busy on Sunday's so be prepared to wait. I've always loved Einstein bagels I went here yesterday and let me say my bagel was very tasty and yummy! Although one thing that really bothered me as someone in the food service industry is that there was an employee throwing up in the restroom. The overall service was great, but it bothered me that he was still there working. He happened to take my order then right after he took my order he claimed he had to go and ran to the bathroom and was making throw up sounds. It seemed like the other employees knew he was sick , and were asking each other if he was okay. So how long exactly was he there sick ? I hate to be this one customer complaining about this, but like I said I'm apart of the food industry too and I know the rules and regulations regarding being sick and around food....and I just hope he was sent home early, and did not prep/ touch any food customers were eating. read more

This spot is a regular stop for me usually as it is for their Vanilla Hazelnut coffee yummies, but when it is birthday month celebration, we can add a delicious sandwich to the occasion, double bonus. For anyone who comes here regularly I would suggest join their e-club. You earn points and get free things (such as the delicious birthday sandwich). Being in my 40s now, carbs are definitely my enemy, so I normally try to avoid them. In this case, I celebrate the chance to enjoy carby goodness of their poppy seed bagel. A bagel review- When I have that bagel craving there are two places that I go to and Einsteins is one of them. This location in particular is located inside a shopping center with Starbucks and Krogers next door. One of my favorites are the variety of SHMEARS ( cream cheese) they offer. I'm reviewing today because of this bagel called Cheesy Hash brown bagel!!!! Have you tried it?? If not you need to it is awesome especially if you like potatoes. You can add some egg and bacon on this bagel and boy you've made bagel magic. Also, my life pretty much revolves around the 'Spinach Florentine bagel toasted with butter and salmon schemer'!!!! One minus, sometimes have a hard time getting someone when I call ahead for box coffee. Einstein has great bagels and food, this location misses making it right a lot. Several times my order has been wrong. With a big order I had the guy taking the order slam his hand down and sigh whenever I added something. When my order was wrong they unhapplily remade it without a word. Just took my item looking like they dread being there, remade it and handed it to me saying absolutely nothing. They're always out of the coffee I get and I have to wait. The bagels are always fresh and deliciousness. This most recent time involved a Mac and cheese bacon breakfast sandwich. It had Anne's Mac and cheese on top, absolutely amazing! Try every bagel they are all great my usual is a everything and cream cheese. Their coffee is always fresh I just stick with my black coffee or americano. In the past I have gotten really good service from this location, but for the past week or so they have never gotten my order right. For example, I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich, and they asked me what type of egg I wanted on it even though that's not one of the ingredients that comes on the turkey bacon avocado. So i said please do not put egg on my sandwich, but I still got egg on it! I also didn't get any turkey on the sandwich when it is the first ingredient in the name! Then I also asked for a hot water for tea and they gave me a stevia sweetened coffee. I looked at the receipt that they gave me and everything that was on there was correct but they just made everything completely wrong. Then just today I asked for a simple everything bagel with plain cream cheese and they gave me a cheese bagel with nothing on it! Mind you that I was the only person in the store at this time so they couldn't have confused me with someone else's order. Employees were nice but this was the most chaotic Einstein's I've ever been to. There were about 7 employees on the floor and there was only 3 other customers in front of me, yet somehow I managed to wait almost 10 minutes just to pay, and wait almost another 10 minutes just to get my one bagel to-go with 4 shmearfulls. All the employees seemed to be busy doing things, so I think it's just a management problem. For example, the cashier left the registers to watch another employee start an order of coffee drinks. Maybe she was new and trying to learn, but this is what caused me to wait 10 minutes to pay. read more

I never went to an Einstein bagel so I decided to try this one. I loved the atmosphere, it was so clean, and so many things on the menu. Everything looked so good, the sandwiches, smoothies, drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. An older woman and younger guy talked to me and I talked to them about everything and they were so nice. It made me want to go on Yelp and let everyone know I enjoyed my experience :) I got a Tasty Turkey on Asiago and a mocha iced coffee and everything was so good. Whenever I visit this place, I'm the only one around to make an order. Been here only twice and I have enjoyed the choices they have. The jalapeno salsa spread is something I have developed quite a liking to. My wife loves this place and gets excited if I get some bagels for the evening on my way back from work. If your looking for real Jewish bagels, these are not it, but, about as close as you'll get. What they lack in nice chewy crusts, they make up for in flavor. Their farmhouse sandwich is wonderful and their baked goods are full of flavor and always satisfy your sweet tooth. My husband and I have been coming to this Einstein location for a few months now. The food has always been delicious and made to the way we've order, minus a few times they've forgotten a few extra add-ons for me but that's never been a huge issue. Aside from all that, the service is HORRIBLE. The workers are never happy and never interact with their customers besides listening to the orders.
