My Dad loves his blueberry bagels!! After his Dr appointment nearby, we go over there to pick up his fave bagels! I get to choose some too. lol Besides the blueberry bagels, I choose the jalapeno and cheese bagels. The bagels are super soft inside and fresh tasting. They are good even without heating them up!

Ordered ahead on the app and they lost my order. I waited a little bit after the time it said the order would be ready just to make sure they weren't just running late because they were busy. Once I was able to talk to someone, they didn't have a record of my order. It was just a bummer since I was in a little bit of a rush.

11 Baker's Dozen

I arrived five minutes early and went to the cashier to pick up my pre-ordered 11 Baker's Dozen bagels. I usually order a large quantity as a snack for church members, and when I pick them up, the staff usually goes to the manager to ask about my order. The cashier only checked the order monitor and told me to wait because my order wasn't ready yet. I went back to the cashier at 9:35 a.m. and asked her to confirm my order. However, my order was already ready for me to pick up, and the manager told her to take it. I was embarrassed by the cashier's carelessness and inaction. And since it was a lot of bagels, I asked her for an Einstein paper shopping bag to carry them to my car. She said she didn't have one, so I ended up borrowing a store cart. This is because the staff usually loads the bagels onto the cart and brings them to my car. She said there were no carts, so she reluctantly went back to the manager, who brought me a cart and placed six boxes of bagels on it. She told me she couldn't fit all the bagels on the cart and told me to come back and load the remaining five. I went back to her and asked for five, but she only gave me four, saying those were all I had ordered. I told her I needed one more, and she turned around and gave me the one she had left. This was my first experience at this store, and I wasted almost half an hour. Every time I asked her, she wouldn't answer right away and made me wait. I wish your company would pay more attention to the customer service of its employees who order large quantities of bagels.

Texas egg sandwich: with brisket and eggs and cheese.

This was my first time at Einstein's bagel. I came for a free birthday sandwich. I was so blown away with how delicious it was. I'm reminded how much I love bagel egg sandwiches. The bagel was toasted to perfection. And the brisket in the sandwich was not overly salty, as I originally thought it might be. The eggs were tender and cooked perfectly. If only there were a piece of lettuce and tomato in the sandwich it would have been perfect. My only complaint was that they were out of the hazelnut coffee. However, the staff immediately made a pot when I told her it was empty. I just didn't want to wait for it. Needless to say, I'll be back soon.

Breakfast bagel, double egg, on everything

They're doing better now, after the covid shuffle. No inside seating, no soda machines, only bottled drinks. The selection of bagels was better this time. And my free birthday breakfast sandwich was delicious. You need to buy something, so I bought a chocolate chip cookie to share with my friend. The $2 cookie was good, and much cheaper than one at Panera!

This is a very popular bagel place. On the weekend expect a line. However, everyone is happy and friendly and ready to assist. I had a nova lox bagel on an everything bagel and it was delicious. They have a nice selection of bagels such as pretzel and jalapeno cheese. They also have a lot of sandwich bagels.

Good food. Good service. Golden bagel is better for lunch and options. This place is serviceable.

The last three times I've been here they've been completely out of bagels. It's a freakin' BAGEL shop, for crying out loud.

I didn't even read the reviews. When I pulled up, I almost drove right past it because it's tucked inside a liquor store. But hidden gems are usually called hidden for a reason. I walked in and asked what their most popular sandwich was. The guy recommended the California Club, which happens to be one of my go to sandwiches anywhere, so I told him to make that and add pickles because let's be honest, you gotta have pickles. Now I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, the guy making the sandwich took a sweet time. I mean almost a solid almost 10 minutes, and at one point I caught myself thinking, "This thing better be incredible." Well... it was incredible. Absolutely worth the wait. Fresh bread, stacked, flavorful, tactical, and one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you immediately stop caring how long it took. In fact, after the baseball game I went back a second time and grabbed a Cobb salad for my wife. Of course I had a few bites as a delivery tax. That thing was tremendous too. When I picture a really good Cobb salad, this is exactly what I want. Packed with egg, bacon, avocado, and just the right amount of blue cheese. Not skimpy at all. The salad also took longer than expected, but honestly I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for food that's made right instead of rushed garbage. Well done. Easy five stars.

All prices listed on the menu are cash prices. This was a little annoying since I didn't see it…read moreexplained anywhere. Menu is extensive and food is made to order which can take some time...so grab a scratcher, candy or drink from the attached liquor store. Both sandwiches were good. I think the California club was better than the Italian, which is rare for me. Both made with fresh ingredients and both very large subs. Plenty of parking, too. Overall really 4.5 stars but lowered to 4 due to the pricing issue.

I tried the Honey Dill Turkey on Dutch Crunch--the sandwich was huge (no shrinkflation it seems, despite the steep price), and the bread tasted amazing. Took half home for lunch the next day. The unique dill-turkey pairing was creative (big plus), but I'd try a different sandwich next time. The presentation was great and they brought the food to our upstairs table. It also came with a cucumber-heavy, Greek/Israeli-style side salad (or chips I believe).

I peeled the bun off in attempt to eat the meat inside. The bacon was so hard and overcooked. The waiter came to ask how the food was and my boyfriend said it was gross but we were hungry so he ate half and asked if half the price of his sandwich could be removed. A couple minutes later, a woman came over to ask what was wrong. He said the food was not good and she responded aggressively "oh but you ate it" and pointed at my food. I looked at her and said "what, I'm eating my food" and she got very angry. She then stormed off while yelling across the restaurant at us. She stated I looked at her funny. My boyfriend asked if she was the manager and she replied "does it matter?" and continued to argue across the restaurant making a scene. The lady in the booth in front of us turned to say she was in fact the owner. My boyfriend said "I offered to pay for half of it" she then replied "I'm comping it so you guys can leave." Super crazy aggressive energy from the start. This was our first and last time, what a joke.

It was well balanced, and not too sweet (which is a good thing). I normally don't get boba, but I got it this time around because it's cheap and it was surprisingly good! We came like an hour before closing and it was pretty fresh and chewy. Service was a tad slow, but the ambiance was nice. It's tucked deep into a somewhat dead plaza so it was a bit eerie going there at night, lol. The workers were extremely nice and patient as well. Would likely come again to try other drinks. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with cheese foam and it instantly reminded me of Saigon Coffee in North Park. It has that same rich and bold flavor that true Vietnamese coffee lovers look for. The cheese foam here is my second favorite in the city, right behind Maiko Cafe in Mira Mesa, which says a lot because their foam is legendary. What makes Nova Boba my new number one spot is the simple fact that I can finally get both Vietnamese coffee and cheese foam in one drink without having to chase down a pop up at a farmers market. I was originally planning on heading to the market for that little booth that serves my favorite combo, but I am so glad I found Nova Boba instead. Now I can come here any time I want without depending on a weekend schedule. The shop itself is quiet, clean, and surprisingly inexpensive compared to many other boba places I have tried. It has a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to relax or catch up with a friend. The staff is friendly and the menu has so many options that I already know I will be back. Next time I am trying the strawberry matcha because it looked amazing. If you love Vietnamese coffee or cheese foam or you are just looking for a new spot that will not disappoint, I highly recommend stopping by Nova Boba. It is officially part of my rotation now. Service was quick and place was cute.
