The sauerkraut was horrible! Pork chops were sub-par and server never came back to fill our drinks. Then we had a table of seven they charged us gratuity. We split the bill because we were two separate parties. We don't have a problem with the gratuity, but they charge us both the same percentage so they essentially took extra money. I think that's pretty shady!! So with a half ass service, low food, quality and billing issues we will not come here again!!! read more

Perfect amount of spinach nestled under the melted cheese. I say the perfect amount because when you ask for spinach on a pizza in the south, they just put a few measly leaves of spinach. The second one I had was chocolate chip with reduced fat honey almond cream cheese. Perfect combination as the honey almond cream cheese elevates the flavor over all. Just noticed my bank statement. I visited Einstein Bagel in New Braunfels, TX, on May 9 and May 14 about 7am both days. Notice a $1 added difference. I ordered Nova Loc both days. Food was good both times, standard order. NO TIP was added either visit. Get a receipt every visit, check it before leaving the store. Someone may be tipping themselves. This is one of the only Einstein Bros Bagels in the Greater San Antonio area that is not located on a military base so I'm blessed to drive past it on my commute to work. The bagels are unlike any other bagel I've ever had! It truly is a treat! There are flavors of bagels, and cream cheese, called 'smears, are unique and can't be found at the grocery store. They don't just offer bagels and 'smears, they also offer bagel sandwiches, a few pastries, fruit cups, hot chocolate and coffee. Think Starbucks menu but with only 1/3 the drinks. My go to breakfast sandwich is the warm BLT avocado & egg whites. It's one of their signature sandwiches. Theres a sauce on it that taste kind of like cheese and Thousand Island dressing. My favorite sugar splurge is a toasted chocolate chip bagel with strawberry 'smear. It's like Valentines Day chocolate covered strawberries with a warm crust. I'd gave this 4 instead of 5 stars because I've had a couple fails. When it gets "busy" which to this place is more than 3 people waiting, my food has been cold. There's also an employee who can be nice most of the time but i've seen get snippy with other employees in front of everyone when it's "busy". This is awkward to watch. The treatment I received from a certain employee was so bad it warranted a complaint to corporate.....other employees seem to be afraid to smile. We experienced a clean restaurant, clean restrooms and friendly staff who were professional, cheerful and had great attitudes, even this early in the morning. As for the food is your average chain bagel store. The bagels are good, the bagel morning sandwiches taste way better than Dunkin Donuts and the tea/coffee works, too. I consider these prices average, too. For those complaining about how much stuff costs here, have you been out to eat in the last decade? Food costs have skyrocketed. The only place you'll find this stuff cheaper is a gas station or DD, which tastes far inferior. read more
