After spending over $30 for a breakfast for my family, I will not be back. Spent too much money to literally pull a long strand of hair out of my children's shmearfuls. Literally, the hair was half way in the cooked food and half out. Absolutely disgusting. 3-4 female employees today and one male. No hairnet... I ordered bagels for my kids, not hair. Regret walking back up to the counter a second time, because the children didn't eat the food I spent more money on. And I even left a tip in the bucket... Was really looking forward to a bagel but was disappointed. They gave me the wrong type of bagel (only discovered once I had left) and the tomatoes were unripe and tasteless and onion was in huge chunks rather than fine slices. I asked for a refund and employee proceeds to tell his mother behind the counter that "sorry isn't good enough for this guy." I didn't need an apology, just didn't want to wait 35 minutes for bagels. I really like authentic New York style bagels. My wife's Jewish and I've had Sunday breakfast at her brother's place on Long Island several times. Bagels, Lox (salmon), cream cheese, and whitefish. So I have a certain expectation from bagel places. Einstein's is more of a bagels lite type of place. The bagels are very soft, almost like bread and the cream cheese is whipped and airy. When I stopped by the first time for a bagel (and me in motorcycle gear and helmet in hand), the guy gave me my bagel in a large carry out box which meant it was scattered all over the inside of the box when I arrived at work. My office also gets an assortment of bagels and cheeses every other week from Einstein's. Occasionally I'll go ahead and grab one. I find I have to use half a container of whipped cream cheese to get the flavor I'm looking for. I've started hitting our cafeteria and buying a couple of the real cream cheese containers (the little single serving ones) instead of taking so much of the whipped cream cheese. If you're into the foo-foo pseudo bagels, hit Einstein's. There are at least three other bagel places in the Denver area you can visit for the chewy New York style bagels. read more

I have never had any issues with Einstein Bros-I always leave getting exactly what I anticipated, but I suppose that is the purpose of going to a chain restaurant. I have noticed that each time I go in (which honestly isn't all that often) they have added a new menu item. Really bad customer service. 5 people behind counter, was not very busy---took about 8 minutes for someone to see me at order here window. Been to many of these restaurants usually exceptional service at all except this location. got tired of all employees looking at me and not saying a word till I asked one of them---Is someone taking orders? Terrible customer service. Asked where the bagel menu was, was staring at the cream cheese menu the whole time, and the kid knew and didn't even bother to say anything. Our bagels took 10 minuites to get to us, when it could've taken 30 seconds, it wasn't busy. A lady who was behind us got her coffee before we got our bagels. We come home and find out they gave us 5 bagels instead of 6, and the one they forgot is the one that they charged us extra for. One of the bagels was completely smushed. Will not be back. read more

My wife and I have frequented the Einstein's chain often, and this location has some good and bad points. I like their customer service. It is consistently friendly and attentive. Most of the time the orders are completed quickly. Since adding the coffee specialty drinks, I enjoy their mocha lattes rather than their regular coffee. The one item I am consistently disappointed with is the cream cheese schmear. It is very skimpy compared to other bagel shops. Whenever I order a bagel with lox, despite the high price, that too is a skimpy portion, compared to other bagel shops we have visited. The atmosphere is that of a strip mall, but in the morning, it is fairly quiet after the workers and students rush. read more

Have not been to an Einstein Bagels in a long time. I am gluten free and usually avoid bagels shops. However we had company in town and it was one of those things. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with no bagel, so for me that's all those things stacked together in a container. I received a piece of what looked like American cheese cold in one container, a piece of bacon cold in another and my egg in another. I also ordered a cup of fruit that just was not in our bags. I tried to call the manager and left a message. Still have not received a call back. Yikes! read more

Food is good but it was hard to enjoy it. Came in at 2:30, the cashier advised me they close in 20 minutes. Then, with keys in hand, the manager hovered around the dining room while I ate, followed me out the door, and locked up ten minutes before they close. Fine bagels, bad customer service. Don't ask me if I want a receipt like it's optional if I will then need that receipt to get you to replace a screwed up order. I just staying for the weekend and it was the closest place to the hotel. I asked for a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel. I got no bacon and it was on a cheese bagel. Of course not noticed until I had left. Not that big a deal, but annoying none the less. So I go back the next day expecting the same level of service as a Starbucks, which will happily re-make a botched drink the next day with no receipt. Instead I was offered the senior discount of 50 cents off. And then he asked me if I wanted my receipt. If your policy is that a receipt is necessary to get adequate customer service, then don't make taking the receipt optional. read more

The worst experience at this Einstein Bros Bagels at Clover Basin Dr Longmont this morning. I came in and ordered 5 dozens bagel to go, they were happy to take my order and said thank you! I waited patiently, I knew they were busy. Other people in front of me pick up their order and they were told thank you and sorry for the wait... But when my turn to pick up my order, the lady raised her voice and told me in an UN-Friendly way: "Next time, go through the catering order when you order more than 3 dozens, we can not fill the order of more than 3 dozens in a fly." This is not nice lady! Should tell me when I placed the order, I would bring business somewhere else! The bagels are eatable once you scrap most of the cornmeal off the bottom. What's up with the cornmeal? I guess no one can make a good bagel at this altitude or west of the Mississippi. This place is more of a practical joke than anything. I just moved to Colorado about 4-5 months ago, I tried their breakfast (everything)bagel once and enjoyed it. The second time I went they were out of everything bagels, so I settled for another flavor and got a pastry as well (warmed up) well they put the bagel on top the pasty, smashing it completely, as well as frosting and dough all over the bagel. I've been trying to go back and get the same bagel for over 4 months now, stopping in once or twice a week, and every time they are out of "everything" bagels, I even got offered a onion bagel and when I said "ok that will be fine" she said "oh sorry we are out of those too" really?? This was the worst experience that I have ever had at Einstein. We came in on Mother's Day, on a Sunday and the service was terrible. They were out of 3/4 of their bagels and it took fifteen minutes to get my fourth choice of bagel. When I did, it had avocado all over the side (something you do not want on a Cranberry bagel), it was cold (when I asked for toasted) and it had some sort of Garlic or onion cream cheese on it. Only reason I go here is for the bulk bagels and because it's close. Service is slow and orders are usually wrong. Coffee is usually out on weekends, food served cold quite often and the staff always seems disorganized. Who ever owns this place is letting it run just on the name alone. Get more involved please. Einstein has great food. The business could be so much more successful if they were willing to make a few small changes. First of all, the store ALWAYS has visible, bad-smelling smoke from cooking. The smell permeates your clothes. There must be some way to ventilate the restaurant. Secondly, the music they play is TERRIBLE! It's some kind of hokey, 80's musak. Nobody wants to sit and listen to that during lunch. Thirdly, the dining area is unappealing because there are no dividers - just chairs and tables, very close together. If they put in some space dividers, people could be more comfortable sitting there and having breakfast or lunch. read more

This place is a joke. I used to live in boulder and went to the location there every morning. The Longmont location is absolutely terrible. The staff are nice enough but I blame upper management. I used to always buy the iced coffee in Boulder but when I went to get it here they gave me a cup for the self serve and when I filled it up I immediately noticed the coffee was clear with a slight brown color.... It wasn't iced coffee it was coffee flavored water. I asked the staff and they apologized and went to make another batch. I watched them make it and they literally just brew regular coffee over ice so you get this disgusting liquid that's roughly 25% coffee and 75% water. Then once that melts they just keep adding ice. It was the same disgusting liquid so I just asked for my money back. How the hell do they expect people to spend money on that nastiness? I've also tried to buy the pastries (I gave up on the bagels because they're ALWAYS burnt and dry) the cashier was like "uhhh actually I wouldn't buy those. They've been there all week. We should probably throw them out."...... Uh well thanks for the heads up but Ew. In the beginning I called their customer service line in hopes that this place would turn itself around so that I didn't have to drive all the to boulder but they've made no efforts to change. Whoever is in charge of einsteins needs to shut this dump down because it is ruining the brands reputation.
