The owner was manning the cash register and she was helpful with my questions about ingredients and also friendly to chat with. I purchased a cinnamon role, raspberry bear claw thing, sourdough bread loaf, brownies and the nutty bars. My husband and I have enjoyed the nutty bars immensely and the bread is perfect for dipping or just putting butter on for a snack. I don't feel icky after as there isn't any sugar or starch present in the items at their store. For people with diabetes, avoiding starches/grains or just trying to eat healthier, this is a go to place! I do wish they would bring back their rewards program as it's not the cheapest items.

The interior is cute and there's often a queue upon entering to order at the counter, but don't let that intimidate you because it moves fast. I recommend getting some of their water on tap (both still and sparkling water are available) if you have to wait! If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. They clearly care about providing you a good experience with a strong cup of coffee. Give them a shot if you're in downtown Overland Park!
