The only hiccup? No one was at the register for about five minutes, so I stood there waiting to place my order. Eventually, someone wrapped up what they were working on and helped me out. I ordered a simple everything bagel with veggie schmear to go. The process at Einstein Bros. Bagels feels a little inefficient -- you order at one end and then pay at the other. After ordering, I had to wait another five minutes for someone to become available to ring me up. Not a huge deal, but it did add to the overall wait time for a very simple order. Once everything was squared away, my bagel was ready just a few minutes later and I grabbed it from the pickup counter in the middle of the store. As for the bagel itself -- solid and satisfying. Nothing groundbreaking, but dependable. It wasn't too soft or too hard, just your typical bagel with a good chew. I asked for it lightly toasted and they nailed it -- not burned, not overly crisp. They also put on a generous amount of veggie schmear, which I appreciated. Parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall with several open spots available. There's plenty of seating inside for both small and larger groups, plus an outdoor patio area. The ambiance is your standard casual restaurant vibe -- nothing fancy, but that's not really why you come here. Overall, a good, reliable bagel with a bit of a clunky ordering process. First visit to this, or any other Einstein Bagel, and it wasn't the greatest experience unfortunately. We ordered 2 split bagels, untoasted, as we planned to eat them later at home, both with cream cheese. While waiting my husband noticed she was applying the cheese. He went to the counter to remind her we wanted it on the side, to which the girl replied with a "you didn't tell me that" and just stood staring at him. Husband reported back yes, he had (which I'd heard him say) and she walked away to grab 2 more. She seemed bothered enough that we were a bit nervous about taking the replacement ones, but luckily she immediately went into the back with other employees and an older, more pleasant female employee took over. I'm so excited to see this place! I went to order the gal, taking my order with slurred her words and talking fast. I just looked at her and told her what I wanted and she kept slurring her words and talking fast. I finally explained to her. if you'd slow down and articulate your words, I might understand you. Well, the boy there slurred his words I looked at he said I just want that that's all I want and then some gal asked me if I had rewards. I could understand her and I said no I just want that y'all need to stop slurring your words. They took offense to it. Here's a big tip. If you're working with the public, you need to wait for the customer look at them and articulate your words. Slow down a bit folks there was nobody else in the place except for me. I don't know your menu. I don't care to know your menu. All I asked for was a toasted bagel with cream cheese. How difficult is that? I wanted a cinnamon raisin bagel whole in a bag and they want to keep asking me questions. Again, speak slowly look at the customer and don't slur your words. I ordered through the mobile app and when i arrived at the store i was not greeted. I stood by the cash register waiting for someone to talk to me for a whole 2 mins about my order that I can see is done on the counter and not the pick up shelf. I didn't feel comfortable grabbing it without being acknowledged. Finally got my order when the employees stopped talking about their personal life. When I received my order I went to my car to start eating, I took a couple bits and then noticed a hair in my sandwich which than made me look at both half's. That when I found multiple hairs sticking out of the middle of my sandwich. I went back inside to tell an employee which all they said was " oh I'm sorry... I can remake it." While walking away from me. She remade the sandwich and offered me a drink or cookie. What would have been better was being offered a refund and them improving their customer service. It is my Friday, I have chemo tomorrow, and I've been told to eat more and better the day before for a better outcome. So my teen figured out food at 8am while I was starting my work day from home and our breakfast arrived about a half hour later. My bagel sandwich was hot, the egg was nice, the cheese was melted, the bacon was crispy, and the bagel was toasted. It was not the Asiago bagel my teen ordered for me but it was a fine plain bagel. My kid reported their hash brown breakfast bagel was good as well. Same contents inside. There were also juices, apple and orange, squishy cheesy hash brown thingies, and a blueberry muffin and churro bagel for later. Hot things arrived hot, cold things arrived cold. There was nothing wrong really but also nothing memorable. It was fine. I upped them a star from last time because the blueberry muffin is pretty dang good and teen liked the churro number. Service can be sort of hit and miss to be honest, but on the most part I've had a positive experience at this location. I always have a tough time deciding if I want a sweet or savory bagel, so luckily they cover both spectrums well. Recently however they've been super dense, and I personally don't like ripping apart my food like a caveman first thing in the morning. We were checking out the available bagel flavors when Amy came by to assist us. She was great. She informed us about a great deal they have all day on Mondays where you can get 13 bagels for only 7.00 with fancy bagels costing slightly more. She was very helpful and offered great customer service that you rarely find at those gourmet bagel houses. Amy made our first visit to Einstein Bros Bagels a very positive one. We left with 13 bagels and 5 delicious sounding schmears. The bagels were better than expected. They were crispy on the outside with a dense texture and quite chewy. The schmears were also good. They are whipped and easy to spread. The honey almond flavor is great. So while Einstein Bros might not have the top of the line gourmet bagels, what they have isn't too bad. All of the staff were extremely friendly and a great diverse mix of a team. The person at the register guided me through the process with ease. With their quick service I was out of there in a few minutes. The bagels and muffins were a delicious hit with the team. Popped in here on a Thursday afternoon looking for lunch. I ordered a breakfast bagel but hey that's what sounded good at lunch time. I have never been inside of an Einstein Bagel before so first thing I do when I come in as explained that I'm probably one of those annoying customers who have no idea what they're ordering but I'm going to order it anyways and just pray that they can make something work. Fortunately I was greeted an assisted by one of the friendliest cashier as I've met in a long time, however by looking at my receipt I do not see a cashier name. Although the sandwich was tasty, I wouldn't put it at anything worth writing home about or even to Yelp about. This past Saturday we wanted some breakfast sandwiches, but we wanted to do it our way. We had the eggs and bacon so while the wife got that ready I went out for some bagels. I headed down Cornell and turned into Panera Bread's parking lot. I was just going to hop in for a few. Then I thought why go here when Einstein's is just a little farther down the road? I backed it up and headed down the road. Turns out that was a good decision. While Panera's bagels have improved, (they were horrible imo when they were first offered) Einstein's Bagels are much closer to the NY Style bagel that I am looking for. Don't get me wrong they aren't what I would expect in NY but they are pretty good. Not only are the toppings plentiful and tasty, the bagels are uniform all the way around so they are quite easy to slice and get pretty close to 50-50. I got a baker's dozen with a couple schmears. I got a Farmhouse, a Chef's creation with egg, bacon, ham, cheddar cheese w/ country pepper shmear on a cheesy hash brown bagel. This is pretty much a glorified breakfast sandwich between bagels. The wife got a pumpkin bagel w/ pumpkin shmear. If you can imagine a pumpkin pie cheesecake smeared between the bagel, then that's exactly how good it tasted. Also got a handful of their shmearfuls which are bite sized babe bites that's filled with flavored different flavored cream cheeses. Our favorite was the French toast (w/ maple shmear). Great place for a quick bite to eat. Our preferred spot for breakfast and brunch. We have tried their Avocado Toast and Farmers Sandwich several times. Parking in the complex is not an issue. I'd recommend to order ahead via online or app as the place is fairly busy. They do have covid protocols in terms of social distancing and sanitizers. After waiting 15 minutes and seeing at least 4 other people get their orders before mine was a joke. They had me standing there like an idiot, and gave someone else my food. (that they got to keep for FREE) I had to go up to the counter and say something. I'm a regular (though I have no specific time or day I show up). I've been coming here for years (when it was still Noah's Bagels). Their bagels, cream cheese and coffee are divine when all the stars aline. Then those other times the bagels are too small or too burnt or the cream cheese is melted or not enough or the coffee is too strong or too weak, etc. I've seen it all. I've experienced the long lines practically out the door only to have my bagel gone :( I've had people sit in my seat :P I've been known to wipe down my own table and been grossed out by the dirty carpet and/or bathrooms and so on. Despite anything potentially negative, I keep coming back. Why? The employees, the regulars and the environment. The employees are beyond lovely even when they are having a bad day or dealing with difficult customers. They let me go in front of indecisive people (thank you). Sometimes they have my order ready before I even order. For example, last week I walked in and started talking to Ed (a fellow regular). Miranda (an employee) then brought my food and cup for coffee, took my card to ring it up, then brought it back. It was the sweetest thing! Similar moments happen often. Me and my boyfriend have a weekly breakfast date. Usually it's Elmer's or Shari's. But having just moved, literally right across the street, from Einstein bros bagels, we decided to have our breakfast date here. And it was so good, we had it for breakfast the next day, and then a little later do lunch. The bagels are legitimately the best I have ever had and the employees are what makes the place. They're open, friendly, polite, and informative. They make the suggestions to give you the best deal possible and will go out of their way to make your experience a great one. I'm looking forward to walking over there for breakfast every week during this lease, and diving there after that. If you have any reservations about going to this place, don't worry!
