Not sure why this location has so many low reviews. I stopped by around 830 on a Friday. I was a little nervous because I saw their drive thru line wrap around the building. I went inside and grabbed a grab and go box, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! The employee that helped me was friendly, and the cashier was nice as well. I have eaten their bagels in the past and always found them to be tasty, particularly when they are warm and fresh. I remember really enjoying a cinnamon sugar one. However, I've been here once for breakfast and then this time for lunch and I have not been impressed at all. The menu is a great read. They seem to have much fresher, healthier, more varied options than most chains around. However, the execution is very poor. Fresh fruit is a few pale chunks of stuff in a little plastic carton. The salads are pre-packaged. And ya, I watched them pull my chicken panini out of a freezer drawer wrapped in saran wrap and throw it in the microwave. I can do that at home! In fact, that's one of the few things I CAN do. So, why would I go out for that? Result? Limp bread, one side so soggy it was inedible, cold-in-the-middle big slab of processed chicken meat product, soggy roasted peppers, pepperoni (which is hard to do wrong) all held together by some pretty tasty pesto. This morning, at 7am, they were out of Honey Whole Wheat bagels. At 7am! They then completely messed up my order with the wrong bagel and no shmear. While their actual speed in getting food to table was impressive, what was not impressive was their service which according to me was poor as we had to wait over 5 minutes to be attended to and another couple of minutes to be billed in spite of us being one of only 2 customers in line. The bagels are nice and chewy. The shmears are tasty and creamy. And the service is quick and very friendly. "Bu...bu...bu...their bagels aren't as good as the Jewish deli in X part of New York" you say. OF COURSE NOT. This is a chain throughout Utah, and they do a decent job with the bagels. I used to love coming here but the quality in service has gone downhill. The past three times i've been here they've messed up my order in ways that are hard to look passed. The first time I came through the drive through and ordered two bagels and a drink and by the time i left i noticed they only gave me one bagel. the second time i ordered two avocado toasts and a bagel and again i only got the one avocado toast. This last time i ordered a cinnamon sugar bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Thought we'd grab a nice sandwich and go on a hike. Family of 4, orders sandwich's and goes through the drive through. At the window we pay and have to wait extra time for sandwiches. Not that long later she hands us a bag and we head out for the hike. Up the road 5 mins we check and only have half the order. Turned around, returned, entered store and they just seemed normal about it. Checked the bags contents, made a few more Sandos and sent me on the way with one Sorry. Bagels are great, I've liked just about everything on the menu. Great service, however although the coffee is pretty good... the cups are a joke, it's ridiculous, they drip no matter what. Stopper, lid on tight, I even wrap a napkin around the cup to absorb the coffee, but eventually it's drenched. read more

Do not order their "100%" Orange Juice at Store 1319 in Draper,UT. It is heavily watered down. I paid $3.99 for half OJ and half water. It is from concentrate and whatever employee mixed it, it taste worse that TANG. I was very heavily disappointed. Yuk. read more

I arrived at 3:40pm to get bagels for my children on 3/2- sign on the storefront says store closes at 4:00pm, I could see the employees standing behind the counter watching me try to open the LOCKED door. I got back in my car and called to ask what time they closed, as I was there well before closing. The disrespectful boy who answered the phone said they "had to close early today" but "I was going to open the door for you". HAD to close early...but you were going to unlocked the door?! I asked to speak to the manager on duty, to which he replied he was, I said great, what is your name? He then HUNG up on me! This is absolutely no way to run a business. Perhaps hire employees who WANT to work and who know the definition of respect. I will take my business elsewhere and you should, too. read more

Einstein's bagels has always been one of my favorite go to places for morning meetings, sandwiches, and breakfast. Unfortunately, at this location in Draper, some of the staff working there look like they are homeless, or have just come from a recovery shelter (girl who took my order clearly had a cold, the guy who filled my order was wearing dirty ratty clothes, unshaven, and looked like he hadn't showered for a few days). No judgment about that, it just feels uncomfortable having my food prepared by someone who looks like they might have hepatitis B. This has been my experience there the last 3-4 times I have been in. I went there again today, and that will be my last time. Clearly the hiring standard and personal cleanliness guidelines have become unimportant for Einstein's staff. read more

What has happened to Einstein's?? I used to love it so much. My favorite bagels ever. But now this place gets one or zero stars in basically every category. And it's not just this location, the entire company seems to have lowered its standards to basically nothing. The employees are practically all surly teenagers with bad hygiene and a bad attitude. Their uniforms are dirty and their pants are falling down. Thy don't wipe down their counter so your bagel can have onion, garlic, cinnamon sugar and cream cheese on it at the same time. The bag they give you your bagel in is almost ALWAYS covered in cream cheese so get ready to have a huge mess. Heaven forbid they wipe the gobs of cream cheese off their gloves (or bare hands) before handling your bag. The presentation is so terrible. The cinnamon sugar bagel is one of the most loved flavors they have. Well the one I got today was shaped like a giant ball with no hole in the center and the inside was nowhere near the texture a bagel is supposed to be. It was airy and had risen too much before being baked, and then was over baked on the outside and tasted almost burnt. The cinnamon sugar coating covered *almost* half of the top of the bagel. And there was a baseball-sized glob of cream cheese plopped right in the center and not spread at all. All in alI, I've never had a worse bagel in my life. Einstein Bagels are great, I just have a huge problem with the the Draper location. I've gone in when they first open on the mornings...no one is there at the counter, they are in the back. I've been in a little later in the day, waiting because there is only one person at the counter, 2-3 people working drive thru orders. So I thought maybe the drive thru is quicker. Nope! I went at 9:00 on a Friday. They don't have plain or blueberry bagels, and waited 20+ minutes for 3 cars in front of me. I asked for non sliced, and they sliced them. If you haven't trained your staff in how to make the new seasonal latte, don't put up signage for it. Or at least apologize for the extra ten minutes it takes to figure it out. Actually it's 0 star, either slow service or messed up the orders. The staffs are clueless, especially the drink menu. Love the drive thru! Super convenient. Staff is friendly. I haven't actually been inside so I can't judge that. Love my bagel everytime. I really like the bagels here. Service through drive through was not too slow today. The presentation is lacking. I was sad to get my Nova Lox handed over in a greasy box. I really think they ought to give you something to contain the box if it's so messy. The cream cheese appeared to be mostly clumped in a pile on the untoasted bagel, not reaching the edges, like a pizza. I wished I would have thought to ask to have the bagel toasted. There was possibly 1/4 cup of capers on each side. I LOVE capers, but not that much. Salmon was fine, but again, clumped in the middle. This might work better if they kept the toppings on the side so I could assemble it myself. When I got to my destination to eat it, about 10 min. away, parts of the bagle were soggy and salty from the capers and caper juice. read more
