Rich sold the place to some couple in 2025. They've completely ruined it. They've changed everything. They've driven all the friendly employees away. I don't know why you buy an established place and then change all the recipes. Asian star made that same mistake. And now they have to stay open til 3 am to get any business It's unfortunate. We like Rich's bagels - I've had them in New York City and yes they are different but it's pretty close to what I feel a real bagel should be! If you're in Utah it will beat most others for sure! The folks here are awesome and they get your order out fairly quickly! They go get pretty busy but it's worth the wait. We've been here many times over the years and our favorites are the egg salad sandwich on a plain bagel - Asiago cheese - onion dill - cinnamon raisins bagels - the lox sandwich is also yummy and they offer a list of veggies you can add to any sandwich! There are tables for those who wish to enjoy their meal there - parking is plentiful- staff is friendly and helpful. They always seem to have a ton of bagel choices. Always fantastic. It has been there since I was a kid (around 30 years) the owners are delightful, and the food is great!

I asked for a BLT bagel to be made but was told they didn't have any lettuce. They sell salads so that seemed odd. I settled for a couple of bagels but was told they could not be toasted because it was 15 minutes to closing time. The bagels are very small and lack the typical crispy, chewy texture on the outside. Rich's Bagels changed all that by blowing me away with bacon, egg and cheese on a freshly toasted asiago bagel. These are the real deal, boiled, then baked, producing a dense yet light bagel. These are so good I ordered a dozen assorted to take home, with several flavored cream cheeses. The young lady who served was quick, professional and helpful. The lobby has tables and chairs (with umbrellas) because you won't be able to wait to eat your sandwich at home. The bagels are no better than at a grocery store, disappointing because they are far more expensive. I ordered a toasted plain bagel with butter (in the picture), and it was very small and incredibly greasy. I also ordered a coffee which was very bitter. Service however was great, and the workers were lovely, so no hate to them. read more

I'm glad to say that I have lived and traveled all over the country and know what good bagels are and to me that wouldn't be Einstein Bagels, although I do go there at times. Rich's Bagels does a fine job with there recipe but lack terribly in consistency. It seems they use the same recipe for all the bagels and then add ingredients to change them up, raisins, jalapeños, cheese, etc, and that's fine. It's a pretty decent recipe. Now after having bagels from great bakeries from around the nation what I don't understand is the inconsistency of bagel size. I'll order a half dozen bagels and some will be thick and others very thin. At times I'll ask for a thicker bagel and I'll either get a deer in the headlights look or something stupid stating that they have to save the better ones for sandwiches. Now I know that there will be those that say this is normal for the bakery. My answer is, if you practice mediocre output then yes this becomes normal. There are a couple that do a great job, great with customers and they are always a pleasure o talk to. My advice for Mr. & Mrs. Rich is, get out of Utah once in a while and take a trip to the east coast to some of the great bagel shops or even go to a nice Jewish delicatessen in Las Vegas (The Bagel Cafe) for one. I added a star because of the two severs who try hard and that Rich's Bagels has one of the best everything bagel flavors I really like. Bagels are tasty and service is quick. The bagels are quite small though so that's a bummer. I wish they were bigger and there wasn't as big of a hole in the middle. I think thick fluffy bagels are the way to go and these are a little small and not thick at all. My wife and I pick up bagels from here every once in a while because it's close to our house. I also love their Spinach Salad with Poppyseed Dressing and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The staff is super friendly. The only reason they lost a star is because the service is extremely slow. On a whim after the gym I decided to head in to grab a bagel and I am so glad I did!! They had the most amazing bagel flavor of the day, Asagio Jalapeño bagel! It was so delicious and I hope it becomes a regular on the menu! I got it toasted and added scallion & herb cream cheese..I cannot tell you how great it was! I got a bagel and a small soup. my total was almost $17. definitely not worth the money especially because it didn't fill me up. its good food but there are better places for more food, and better price. sadly i won't be returning until they decide to drop prices. read more
