First time here and Surfy didn't disappoint…read more Service top notch and very friendly. Food was hot and fresh and a good selection. I had the burger with fries (spicy but good) and fish tacos. Lively ambiance and great place for family and friends. Loving California vibe. Can't go wrong!

Ordered the Fettucini Ai Funghi and it was excellent. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Finished the meal with affogato and limoncello. Great experience.

Had a fantastic visit to Cactus Club Cafe with a group of friends! I haven't been to CCC for ages,…read moreso I was excited to return. We were seated on the gorgeous, semi-open patio in a larger booth, which was perfect given the breezy summer weather that day. DRINKS: Amazing! The standout was the frozen sangria - not too sweet, just the right amount of wine, and reminded us of an alcoholic orange-berry popsicle. If you like more punch to your drinks, go for the regular sangria. FOOD: We cleaned off our plates, easily! We were pleasantly surprised by the portion size for most of the dishes; the steak was the only dish that didn't surprise us. - Fish Tacos: we got 3 tacos PLUS guac and chips (added a side of fries)! I've been to some restaurants where they only serve 2 tacos now with no guac in sight. The fish was crispy & light, and this was a perfect lighter main dish! - Steak with a side of kale salad (+$3): The kale salad was a huge hit at our table! Definitely worth the $3 upgrade considering the portion size and taste. My friends kept asking me for more, which I gladly obliged.

The avocado dip is delicious and I have tried to recreate it at home without 100% success. The steak frites is beautiful and comes with a kale salad that will leave you craving it days later. Ok this is serious. The six layer chocolate cake! It will have you recreating "that" famous scene from 'When Harry Met Sally'. You all know how I am on the constant search for chocolate cake, and this is one of the best of the best. It's a baked cake with sweet ganache layered between. It comes with ice cream, cherries and mint. It says to share between two but take mine home to have the second half with coffee or something *stronger* the next day. This location has a beautiful patio in summer and in winter it becomes a large, glass room. Sit there if you can. Take-out is always great from this location too.

They were pretty quick with our orders and did not mind us catching up for longer than we probably should have while at a restaurant. That being said, the food just wasn't on par. Over our stay we tried multiple items (only got a picture of a couple of dishes though): Seafood pasta - great menu item, but bland Soup of the day - every night it was tomato bisque. We would have loved some variety Eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon (Double) - what else is there to say, pretty standard. Nothing special Oatmeal - Horribly bland and no accompaniments Buffalo Chicken Naan Bread - the chicken was fried which we didn't particularly care for and that too the oil tasted old giving that bitter taste. Had they used maybe the butter chicken instead, I think it would have been so much better Sweet Chili Cauliflower Bites - We actually enjoyed this one! No complaints Grilled Chicken Alfredo - bland and flavorless Tonic Butter Chicken with tofu sub - decent Primavera Frittata - bland It's like the chef is allergic to salt or something. Almost nothing was seasoned right. I will say, we were also not fans of how limited the breakfast options are for hotel guests and the fact that there wasn't anything that we could grab and go for mornings we had to leave early for a day trip. It felt like quite the disadvantage for paying guests. It would have at least been nice to have bagels and cream cheese if nothing else!

This sandwich is mildly spicy and covered in a wet sauce but with a mild crunch. Now this is a it of a trick to navigate when it comes to spice and heat as this is a part of Canada known for beef and not necessarily spice. I asked for jalapeños to be added to the sandwich for increased heat as the server informed me that it was hot for the locals. The place has a modern design and has a deli style service counter when you enter. The place was busy with one server. It took a while to have our orders placed and to return with food. The server was polite but clearly overwhelmed. The chicken sandwich was served on a brioche roll with lettuce, and pickles. I found this hot chicken sandwich to be okay and left me on the hunt for the next and better sandwich.
