The staff were great and the drink selection was good. They had a couple beers that I hadn't seen elsewhere in town. We ended up here because one of the local pizza places was closed on Mondays. The food was good but not great. It definitely had a bit of the corporate feel. I likened the entire experience to a restaurant like the Tap House in Denver. We started with the Korean Cauliflower. They describe it as crispy. I would describe it as over-sauced and soft. We also had the Trio Dip (goat cheese red pepper dip, eggplant dip, edamame hummus). This was a fantastic appetizer. I had the Landing Pepperoni pizza. It was fine. Served with a tasty sauce and fennel honey, it was decent but the salami lacked flavor. One of my party had the Landing Carbonara. The sauce was heavy and it has chicken in it. She was not happy with the chicken. Came on a Friday evening around 5:15. We had the pear and brie stuffed chicken (fall feature menu) and the Moroccan curried chicken. The crisp on the stuffed chicken really made the dish for me. The curried chicken was nice. I thought it was a bit one note in flavour, whereas my dining partner said it was his preferred dish of the two. To each their own! The naan was well-prepared and had a nice seasoning. Overall really pleased with the food and service. The latter was a nice balance of checking in without smothering. Fair warning: the music is quite loud, and the post-happy hour/early evening crowd made for difficulty hearing each other speak. Ed is so warm, patient and charming he is a true gem and they are lucky to have him he went above and beyond with his service and we noticed. Went there for lunch today. Despite not seeming very busy service was not very attentive. Had the Poké bowl which did not come with soy sauce and was halfway done before I could flag down the waitress to ask for soy sauce. Wouldn't really recommend there's a lot of choices in Calgary. read more

We had lunch at Owen's Landing our first day in Calgary. We chose it due to its location, menu and positive Yelp reviews and I'm glad we did. We enjoyed a pepperoni pizza that was a little unusual but in a great way, and a wonderful beet salad. Our server, Kamila was awesome, and she gave us some great tips on things to do in Calgary. My belly is still full of deliciousness as I write this ode to Owen's Landing. OMG that was the best lunch ever! First - two options for glasses of prosecco at reasonable prices. Second - fish tacos are off the hook (pun intended!). Sweet grilled pineapple, crunchy marinated jicama, smoky sauce, abundant lightly battered fish - drool! And then the desserts came! daaaaaamn! The marscapone cheesecake was addicting - I kept eating until I was bursting! it was dense and creamy and was so good. But then I tried the sticky toffee pudding, and I'm pretty sure I passed out and went to heaven. The chili salted caramel sauce was abundant and orgasmic. The chocolate lava cake was good too, everyone loved it, but I had to save room to eat the other two desserts so i only tried a bite (it was gooey and warm and pretty decadent). Great latte too! Came here with my wife for a weekday lunch. We made reservations online which was a good thing as it gets packed with the office crowd. We were seated promptly and away from most people. Place looks like a cross between a fancy and romantic restaurant to a sports bar. As a result it was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation. Our server was excellent. I ordered the fish n chips. Very good and not greasy. My wife had the fish tacos. Very generous portions. I topped it off with Granville seasonal. We stopped by for a business dinner but half of the restaurant was closed off. The vibe was fun and loud, appropriate for drinks but not the best for a dinner if you are trying to hold a convo. The carbonara here is to die for!! We came here during lunch - as it is lunch downtown it is very important to receive quick and friendly service from when you sit down to paying. We sat in the lounge - we were asked for our drink order very quickly and then shortly after our food order. Our server was very helpful for asking our questions - food came out at a good time and was nice and hot. Also, once we finished we were able to have our leftovers packed up and our bill paid quickly (this is oddly and issue at a lot of places lunchtime downtown). I highly recommend the carbonara, has a soft fried egg right on top and is so flavourful . The person I was at lunch with ordered the nachos and the margarita pizza . We had a great lady server. The oysters were okay. Fresh and clean enough. However, it didn't have the sweet taste to really fresh oysters. The chicken was dry and tasted like reheated microwave food. The fries were also quite hard and nothing special. The lava cake was flattened...and looked like an accident had occurred. Oopsies! The fish and coleslaw...eeeks tasting. As if it's been sitting out too long and the flavors changed. Then comes the pasta dishes. Good tasting but super small portion probably better served for kids. None of our companions, male and female both, felt full or satisfied after. The half chicken was probably the the only dish that was good enough to pass the bar. The chicken came out surprising everyone with the portion size, the taste was juicy and tender. The greens under the chicken was the best part of the dish with the flavorful sauce ummm...!! Overall, I probably won't be back as the food is at best mediocre. For the price we paid for, there are lots competitors in the area. Truly indulgent food. Everything we had was wonderful. Our server Bryan was incredibly attentive, helpful and so much fun. He brought me a second drink just as my glass was empty. He also knew what a 7&7 was, which in our book is a HUGE plus!!! We would come back just to see him! As far as food goes, we started with the edamame and it was delicious. Great seasoning and the dipping sauce was very unique. For entrees, we ordered the lobster fettuccine and brisket Mac n' cheese. Both were out of this world with flavor. The fettuccine was lightly sweet and creamy with tarragon, while the brisket was savory and full of flavor. We finished with the mascarpone cheesecake with Saskatoon raspberry sauce... decadent enough to send me to the grave. 10/10 experience. We came for breakfast and it was so good we returned the next morning. The chorizo sausage and breakfast salad with apple, cheddar, and an exquisite dressing were highlights. I had a friend recommend this place for me and my buddies and it exceeded our expectations. Our server Rechelle was amazing and went out of her way to give us a great experience even though you could tell the place was understaffed for how busy they were. Only 2 servers for a restaurant that big is ludicrous. However, she managed to always make sure we all had a drink in our hands and made great conversation. We let her choose the dishes for our table and as described below none of us were let down. I had the landing salad to start and the carbonara as a main. Both of which had great presentation and a lot of flavor. The cheese in the salad was a great addition to the dish. The noodles weren't overcooked and the dish had lots of chicken, unlike some places that skimp out on the meat portions. My buddies had an Owens burger with sweet potato fries, the Half Chicken and the Chicken pizza. I can't speak for my friends but everyone ate all of their food and we all agreed to make this one of our regular spots.
