Second time we've showed up at location at 7:50pm looking to order sandwiches. Late yes, but store…read morestill open According to illuminated "Open" sign and hours posted on window. Both times the same employee told us that everything had been put away so we were not going to get any sandwiches. I inquired why the hours sign in the window said open until 8pm on a Thursday night and suggested maybe changing the hours or turning the open sign off so people don't get misled, then left. The employee proceeded to follow me out of the store, walking towards my vehicle in what I deemed to be a confrontational manner, and told me that if I return to this store while he is working, there will be problems. I asked what he meant by that statement, but he would answer. This statement could only be interpreted as a threat and he motioned his hand to his neck indicating that I am not allowed to return to the Peppino's in Mahogany. He also seemed to be mocking my age but I couldn't really understand. A very unusual and unnerving experience being theeatened by the Peppinos sandwich maker outside of the store in the parking lot. A sandwich takes all of two minutes to make, but apparently 10 minutes before close is too late. I suggest Peppinos instruct employees that threatening customers is not good for business and perhaps speak to this individual about threatening customers and confronting customers outside of the business, and adjust hours so someone else doesn't get disappointed. Unfortunate as I have been eating here regularly since it opened this SE location But this was my first experience being threatened by someone wearing a Peppinos shirt.

What a great find!…read more We enjoyed the beet salad 10/10, beet chips 7/10, the ranch burger 8/10 , the spicy mushroom mozza burger 10/10, and the Mr. chicken panino 10/10! There is an abundant selection of beverages too. Everything was delicious and I would order them again! The service was prompt, kind and the manager made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.

The ranch burger and milkshake would of been more than enough for me (as that was a very hefty burger!) but also tried their smash browns (big potato chunks crisped up and super delicious enough to take home the remainder). I really liked the layout and lighting in the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is also a patio out back (I think you still need to go inside to order at the counter though) and free 3 hr parking for those eating there. I didn't realize about the parking until after I was done my appointment (that would of saved me from struggling with paying for parking on an old iphone that doesn't like indigo QR links...). So now I know for next trip to Calgary this is the spot to stop. Also, just an extra nod to the the two working (I believe they both were owners). Super friendly, will chat or leave you to enjoy your meal and really went the extra step with bringing out the good hot sauce and ketchup even before the meal was ready.

I make a mean turkey leftover sandwich so the first day I thought it was "ok". But the 2nd day I heated the other half up, and it had me SINGING. The sando's are tightly wrapped in paper and foil so they arrived in perfect shape even for take-out (delivery) across the city. I generally upgrade to "double meat" and eat half a sandwich at a time. I can't wait to try more varieties and definitely sink my teeth into another 1762.
