My single shot was perfect down to the exact amount of crema and smooth finish. Plenty more to boot, like a great selection of wines and various sauces, more than possible to take in on a single visit. I stopped by thinking it was simply a coffee/espresso bar but found much more. In talking to my family who are new to the area and are great cooks, I found they were already well aware and are making use of their services, including special orders for their work. This is a destination to seek out, not simply a neighborhood spot. I'd drive across the city to get what they're offering here. That good. Very highly recommended.

The 1762 from Earl has been stuck in my head and I can't wait to try it again. Succulent roast beef with sharp cheddar and a tangy horseradish sauce, commingling toasty in a soft bun. I've mentioned here before that I'm not a huge fan of hot subs. But, EoS has won me over. The Holiday Turkey Sandwich gets reviews as "the best sandwich I ever had" online so I wanted to try it. I make a mean turkey leftover sandwich so the first day I thought it was "ok". But the 2nd day I heated the other half up, and it had me SINGING. The sando's are tightly wrapped in paper and foil so they arrived in perfect shape even for take-out (delivery) across the city. I generally upgrade to "double meat" and eat half a sandwich at a time. I can't wait to try more varieties and definitely sink my teeth into another 1762.

I'm…read morenot usually a big sandwich person, but a good foodie friend of mine said they heard the hype about Scozzafava's so I went along. No regrets. If you didn't know about this spot, you might easily pass by without a second glance. Scozzafava's serves up authentic, classic Italian sandwiches that just slap. They use a soft sesame seed bun, which probably is the most unique part of the sandwich. For their marinara sandwiches, I wish they used a thicker bun to better absorb all the sauce. The sesame bun didn't keep its integrity, sadly. The meatball marinara was glorious! Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! We also grabbed the classic Italian deli, which was scrumptious and very filling. You can't go wrong with either option, in my opinion.

My husband always raves about Chachi's and I can see why…read more I ordered the Montreal smoked meat for $10. It came with nothing else but the sandwich (can anyone answer why local foods are more expensive...?). I thought this was pretty pricey considering I could get a combo for the same price anywhere else. However, Chachi's truly delivers on freshness and flavor. The meat was seasoned perfectly and moist. They added the perfect amount of yellow mustard and the ciabatta bun, unlike the cardboard monstrosities offered at Timmie's, was pillowy and soft. However I was still hungry after eating the entire sandwich. I've had their Kale salad before and it was lackluster for the high price they charged. The veg was fresh but it wasn't mind blowing. I would totally get Chachi's again but considering the price and smaller portion, it would only be as a treat.
