I came in to this location after purchasing a vehicle from their Fort Morgan store. The services were set up here as I live closer to this location. River had scheduled for me to have my front windows tinted to match the back and have a clear bra put on the hood. I came in to pick my vehicle up in the evening, none of these services were performed at all. When I asked River what had happened, he talked about how they had me under the completely wrong name, but then proceeded to tell me that they did some "edging" on the clear bra that was already on the hood and tried to show me where the bra was. It was apparent that there was no clear bra on my hood at that time. River lied to my face and tried to say that it was already there to try and show me that my vehicle wasn't at their site all day for nothing when in fact it was. I told River that when I brought it back in to actually have the work done that I would need to loaner vehicle for the day this time and he agreed. I rescheduled the service for 2 weeks later to actually have the work done, and when I came in to drop it off and pick up a loaner vehicle, somehow no one on site had record of me scheduling this appointment and they said I wasn't scheduled for a loaner vehicle through sales. I proceeded to tell them that I had scheduled with River and this is what he promised me, they then told me that River wasn't working that day. I proceeded to tell them everything that had gone wrong prior and that they needed to figure it out and after about 20 minutes of waiting they finally did. The incompetency of the situation and the fact that I was lied to straight to my face is what has lead me to leave this review. I will never be back to a McDonald Toyota dealership for any kind of service because it is clear they don't care about their customers. read more

I had a terrible experience with this dealership. Six months ago, I entered a waitlist for a car. Before putting down my deposit, I asked if they would mark above MSRP. I was told "that was not the dealerships policy, we never mark up cars here." Fast forward to this week, and they tell me my car is here, and I can pick it up Friday. I ask THEM for the final pricing sheet. They send it to me, and it includes a $5,000 markup above sticker price. Never mentioned to me, three days before I'm supposed to pick up my car. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager said this was a product of the microchip shortage, and Toyotas across the country were exclusively marking this car up. I told her this was actually not the case. She said she didn't control pricing, and she wanted me to share that with her boss, and she would let her boss know to give me a call. I got a call back 30 minutes later from the same woman, who essentially said her boss didn't care to speak to me because their waitlist for the car is so long, if I don't want the markup, then fine. What we learned here: -This dealership has no issues with lying to you or twisting their words -They do not care about how they treat you when it's a seller's market -They are down to abandon their values whenever it's convenient for them. In case you are wondering, 14,000 of the same vehicles came to the U.S. in this shipment and finding this car at MSRP was easy. I'm actually getting it for 500 off MSRP from the new trusted dealership I'm going with. Don't buy a car here. read more

Every interaction I've had with this dealer has been disappointing. I bought a new car in 2020 and they couldn't earn my business then. I figured I'd try again as we're in the market for another vehicle. I told the salesman I was less concerned about the model and more interested in a deal. He starts to walk me outside and I referenced another advertised special from a Toyota dealer in Denver. He looks me square in the face and says we're not that dealer... wow, ok. I would give zero stars if I could. We bought a value vehicle (as is, no warranty). Fine. However, they performed the last oil change and maintenance on the vehicle. Next oil change I take my vehicle to Pedersen Toyota as it is closer to my work. Turns out they (McDonald Toyota) were so incompetent that they put the oil plug back in the oil pan wrong and caused the oil pan threads to break off into the oil pan. Called them and they refused to help with new oil pan cost $620.00 because it was a value vehicle. They didn't care they performed the last service on the vehicle and caused the damage. McDonald Toyota is terrible and I will never go back. read more

This year I traded in my 2014 Tacoma for a 2018 Tacoma TRDOR. The sales process was painless, although the "awesome trade in value" they offered me was swallowed up by mysterious dealership fees. Not sure what those are, but from what I've read it basically translates into money for the dealership for nothing. It was in excess of $3000. The sales person at the Fort Morgan Location Fran was really great, so no problems there. She was fun and sweet and didn't apply pressure. The problems came when my old finance company called hitting me up for money that was supposed to be paid on my trade in. It took Ehrlich so long to pay them on my trade that I literally had 1 day before they were going to send me to collections for non payment on a truck that I no longer owned and that I'm sure Ehrlich had already sold. About two weeks into owning my new TRDOR Tacoma I noticed that the sun visor on the drivers side wasn't staying put. Apparently the hinge wasn't installed properly. I took it in to the Greeley location and had one of their service guys look at it real quick. He told me what was wrong and also to schedule a service appointment and that they would get the part and fix it, So I spoke to a guy named Paul (?) who scheduled me a service appointment. I took a half day off from work, I show up for the appointment and they haven't even ordered the part... NOT PLEASED. Have to reschedule another day off to get it taken care of. Today, more than a month later, I get a call from the service department looking for the old sun visor, apparently Toyota is charging them $300 for not giving it back to them. I tossed it in the trash the day I got it fixed. The guy kinda acted like I was bullshitting him or something.. why would I keep a broken part? Why is it my responsibility?? It seems like this place is full of knuckle draggers in the finance and service department. This will definitely be the only vehicle I buy from this dealership. **Update I called today to get my Transfer case and rear differential serviced. Originally I was quoted $130 for the service at my last oil change, which is in the ball park of this service everywhere else. ($148 @ Grease Monkey in Garden City). When I went to schedule the service the girl quoted me $220... that is absolutely outrageous for a job that takes under 30 minutes and requires nothing more than a flush and some new lubricant. Needless to say Grease Monkey got my business. Again, I cannot in clear conscience recommend this dealership. It's practices are arbitrary, unprofessional, and misleading. I love Toyota as a brand,but it's unfortunate that they allow this place to sell their vehicles. McDonald Toyota now, as other reviewers have said. Don't drop your car off. They'll take their sweet ass time and offer very little communication. They're more expensive than just about anywhere. I had an online 7:30a appointment and called to ask when my car would be done for an oil change and tire rotation and Tonya said "that wasn't your appt time, that was the drop off time". I had a 7:30am appointment; that's when the car should be put in the bay to get worked on. All of the drive-in folks should be put behind the appointments. Before the acquisition, Ehrlich Toyota was tolerable. Not the best Toyota dealership out there but the service was decent, the staff was mostly friendly, and the prices weren't outrageous. Fast-forward and now it's MacDonald Toyota. Almost overnight, it changed from a family-owned standalone dealership into a corporate stealership. Moral and friendliness are down, prices are up, and the service department is now underperforming while overcharging. While my wife was always skeptical the service department here was trying to swindle her anytime she brought in the vehicle for service alone, they were at least respectful when she'd decline all the extra fluff they'd throw at her. Now, they are much more adamant and even started trying the sleazy service sales tactics. For instance, I had just changed out the cabin air filter when she took it in for a maintenance-covered oil change. All of a sudden she's saying they're telling her the filter is dirty and needs replaced at 2x the OEM part cost I just put in. I told her to tell them to stick it. It was a brand new filter. She gets home, I take it out to check its condition. As expected, they pulled the oldest trick in the book. The brand new cabin filter was now covered in dirt and leaves. They soiled the otherwise perfect filter so they could show the customer (my wife) and say "see it's dirty, we absolutely need to replace it today". Crooked asshole move number one. Next visit, I want the front shock and strut looked at and it's much easier to diagnose with a full vehicle lift than in a home garage. They had the vehicle for a full day and all we heard were endless runarounds of why they couldn't get around to it sooner or get my wife a return shuttle/uber ride back to the dealership. Just before close, I get a call saying I could come pick up the keys. I get drive there, no return ride to the dealership for my wife as promised by them, and when I arrive, the service department is flustered when telling me they couldn't find anything wrong and test drove it without hearing anything but that I owed them $100 for diagnosis. Throughout the interaction, I had a feeling they never even looked at it, just charged me and sent me back home. Sure enough, heard the sound three times before leaving their lot. Crooked asshole move two. Took it to another shop and they had it diagnosed under five minutes. MacDonald turned this dealership into a genuine stealership rather quick. Quality is down, crookedness is up, and their prices are now so overpriced, I can have OEM parts shipped in from other Toyota dealerships at significant discounts over theirs. They're not even competitive anymore. Whether you're in the market for a new car, used car, or just genuine Toyota service, buyer beware if you're considering this place. read more

Had a 35K mile service appointment scheduled and showed up early for it. Sat in line for 15 minutes, finally got to see an advisor. Two employees decided to make it an extra long holiday weekend (Memorial Day). Received a text from tech working on it at 10:37. Waited and waited, I finally walked home at 11:45. Git a call at 12:03 saying it was ready. The only things they did were a tire rotation and an inspection! In an hour and a half?!?. Definitely gone down hill since it was sold to McDonald. read more

Do NOT buy a car or have one serviced through this dealer. Our Toyota Sienna needed a transmission replacement two years ago, and Ehrlich did the install. Two weeks ago we were driving down the road at 70 mph on the I-25 and the car literally just stopped accelerating. No warning lights, nothing. We had it towed, and the dealer found that a bolt was never replaced on the new transmission. We had multiple mechanics detail what they found, take pictures and explain how serious this could have been. Now our transmission and our engine need to be replaced. When we called McDonald, we were told that there was nothing they would do, that they had bought the dealership from Ehrlich and didn't feel that it was their responsibility. There is no integrity with this company, and they are not concerned with doing what is right in anyway. There is a liability that is assumed when you purchase a company , and using that as an excuse to get out of legal responsibility is beyond unethical. read more

Not once did I feel pressured. He was patient and kind, going beyond expectations to provide information and help. (Once he even came to Lowe's where I was stuck in the van and couldn't get the key to turn. He just pulled the steering wheel a bit, and the key turned immediately. The wheel had locked into place.) Just purchased New 2019 Tacoma off-road from these guys. The low ball offer for my trade withstanding, I purchased this here. Paid extra for extended warrantee also. So I get my 10K mile service yesterday, and as they are listing everything that was checked, my engine & cabin air filters were marked as good. I immediately questioned this as I drive on dirt roads in the oilfield daily,& knew they couldn't be honest. Well, both were completely filthy. I walked the air filter in, dropped it on the kids desk that was BS'ing me 3 minutes earlier. He gets this lady that's the service Mgr to come tell me that they Aren't recommended to change but every 30K. BS, look it up in FSM, & it's supposed to be checked every 10K, replaces as needed. Checked the tires that were supposed to be rotated, same deal, Liars & cheats in the service dept. don't bother w free service. You'll get what you pay for. read more

We were there to look at one vehicle in particular and after taking a test drive I knew it was what I'd been looking for. Ethan was a great sales rep; very genuine, personable and not pushy at all. Overall, it was an excellent experience buying a car. Josh (our sales man ) was very helpful and he doesn't apply pressure which was a added bonus. I bought a 2014 Corolla Sports from them and got it for a decent price ($18,700) including the $750 recent college grad bonus. So, good value and good sales man make the process easy. The reason for 3 star: Okay don't judge me on this one: The only reason I went to Ehrlich Toyota was because, I saw their internet promotion of $25 master card or Starbucks gift card (just by visiting with coupon). I know it not much, but promotion is promotion, so, I gave the coupon to Josh and Josh gave it to the manager. After I tracked my card status online, it looks like it never was redeemed, so kind of disappointed with that. I hope they would respect their promotion in future, if they want repeat customer. I took a 2021 Toyota Tacoma which I purchased from Ehrlich Toyota which is now McDonald Toyota in September 2020 to McDonald Toyota service for a starting issue. The vehicle does not start sporadically. They test drove the vehicle five times and could not replicate the issue. I picked it up from the dealership and drove to Denver for one errand attempted to start the car it did not start. This is 60 miles away from the McDonald Toyota Greeley location. After 30 minutes playing around with the ignition the car started. The car has 33,000 miles on it and still under warranty. Dale, the service advisor at McDonald Toyota Greeley service said since they can't replicate it there's nothing he can do. He stated his service technicians do not work for free. I did state there was no issue finding someone to cash my $30,000 check for the brand new vehicle. Unfortunately I will not be able to recommend McDonald Toyota Greeley service for sales. read more

Taking in my Toyota Highlander to them with a Busted Transfer case, they quoted me 9 grand for a Transmission rebuild/New Transfer Case. They really didn't stick up for me with the Extended Warranty company like I'd hoped they would or offer much themselves. Also took their sweet time getting in working with the Extended warranty company while the clock on my rental was running. Left a bad taste in my mouth with Ehrlich and the Toyota Brand in general. For the second time in a row they have tried to over charge me $30 for and oil change. For two years they have been telling me I need a new battery, which obviously I don't. I wonder if everyone that goes in the door needs a new battery. They have been telling my wife this for 1 1/2 years too. Now, to replace a cracked lens for a fog light they quoted $781. I've been a loyal customer for 30 years, but it looks like I will find another place to service my cars. I recommend you check your bill when you get it and have someone else check to see if you really need a new battery. read more
