Long story short- after a botched routine service call was offered a free total home inspection. Free turned into a $6000 nightmare. Told we had a raccoon in the crawl space- would have to be trapped (700) and insulation replaced (5000). Even trappers saw no evidence of the animal. Didn't finish but put entire charge on credit card. After numerous calls came back for about 15 minutes to finish and remove trap( of course no animal!) entire process probably took 2 hours . And just try and cancel service- almost impossible. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for a technician to complete an annual termite monitoring baiting service and check for potential evidence of termite activity within the house. The technician never showed up. When I called, I was told the technician submitted notes that he did show up and checked the baits. I was home the entire time- my children were outside the entire time- no one showed up. When I checked the baits, they were still covered with mulch, twigs and leaves. This confirmed the technician never showed up yet I was being charged as if he had! Ehrlich was then supposed to reschedule the appt for interior of house. I never heard from them. I do not want anyone else to be scammed by this business. Do NOT use this company. read more

When Ehrlich was bought by Rentokil, customer service plummeted. They stopped scheduling customers in advance. They only give 24-48 hours notice (see other reviews). This is because they don't want the customer to be home. If they can get away with just spraying the outside of the house and leaving, it saves them resources and time. They also take photos around your home for their invoice (i.e. if a bush is close to your house) and are continually trying to upgrade current customers to other services. It took us about six months to finally stop the plan. Despite multiple requests to stop, our last service was February 13. We were finally able to get them to stop coverage on April 17 but we had to pay the $87/month through May even though they were no longer covering us. read more

If signed into a maintenance plan, they will not create an appointment and let you know when it will happen until 2 days prior to their arrival. They fail to grasp the concept that people may have other scheduled they live by and are unable to be at the location. This time I received notification on Saturday night at 5:30pm for an appointment on Monday at 9am in a location that will be at. I cannot begin to explain how messed up Ehrlich has made my account. They sent me to collections without ever trying to call me, email me or send a letter about the past due account since they did not properly update the credit card. I have now spoken to three customer service agents over the last 6 days and they claim my ticket is "waiting escalation". Still waiting for a call back. I am going to preface this by saying that the technician that came out was stellar. Listened to all of my worries over paper wasps a year ago, extremely personable, definitely someone I would want as the face of a business. Unfortunately, the dust that they use doesn't work on the sub-species of paper wasp that have been inhabiting my bedroom since I moved in shortly before I called them. I was still seeing them after he left, so I called the company back, and he came back out. Essentially said there wasn't much he could do after taping up around my window ac unit. He collected the ones that were on my carpet and left, so I took things into my own hands, and practically bought out Raid stock shares. Shockingly enough, the paper wasps are back! In the middle of winter, no less! Extremely disappointed in the company, the technician is the only reason they are getting three stars from me. read more

About as unprofessional a company as I have run into. I never write reviews but this company's performance warrants one. I called as a new customer and set up an inspection for a lantern fly problem. Had a 2 -4 window. At 3:45 called to see if technician was still coming and was told he was and that he would call with estimate of arrival. No call At 5 pm called again and told they would check with technician and he would call. No call. So silly me calls the next day to give them another chance. Stuff happens. Told they have no idea what happened, my appointment was marked as cancelled. by them. Then they said sorry we will have to start the process all over again which means I need to wait until the following week. No consideration for the time I wasted sitting and waiting Starting over with delay would not work for me. I have used Ehrlich for MANY years but their service has plummeted since they were bought out by a huge national company. It appears they must offload their customer service department to a company that is terrible - late or no show appointments and impossible to deal with billing questions. Even the process of trying to cancel my service was terrible and they billed for services after I canceled. To top it off, they sent it to some collection company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... I've had the termite service sine 2007. I have received and paid annually the fee to renew my Termite Bond. When I called them on 09/16/2020 to report and active situation at my home I was told my account was closed. My account was not closed and they could not provide further information. If you want a company that doesn't show up for appointments, says they'll have a a manager call and never do, invoice you for services never performed then hire them! Never seen a company so unprofessional and literally just not show up. I understand things happen but this has happened multiple times. I've been an Ehrlich (PestFree365) customer for several years now. Not sure what has happened, but in the past year the service has gone down hill. They have changed appointments with no notification (tech shows up not knowing any better). The one time I had to reschedule, they failed to notify the tech (never changed his schedule). I am also no longer receiving communications from the office with appointment reminders. One thing they do remember to do is raise the rate every year! I am at a point where the cost outweighs the value, particularly with the declining customer service from the office. That all being said, the tech is fantastic. He does a thorough job and does a great job explaining things to me. I sense frustration from him with the lack of support coming from the office. If it wasn't for the tech, I would have canceled by now. read more

I am a new customer and have been waiting since 8 am with an 8-12 window 12:45 came and nobody called me I had to call and be told they overbooked and couldn't be here until 5pm. I have been living with cabinets cleaned out and emptied for 22 days in anticipation for this service. So if this is how this engagement is started I have no hope for ongoing services. Now I looked at the reviews and there terrible with the same issues. I'm not going to cancel yet but if there not here by 5pm I will be looking for another company. Very disappointed in this company. As a new customer, I was given a confirmed service date and time (Today, between 8-12). Drove 2 hours to be here for this. Nobody showed or called. I called 3 times throughout the day and was reassured a technician would still be coming today. Needless to say, nobody came or called. Can't even give me a reschedule date. I have put up with Ehrlich for much longer than I should have. Time after time they do not show up. I have wasted weeks of my life waiting for no shows, with no apologies. The techs are overscheduled. The service, when someone shows up after many days and several phonecalls, is good sometimes and accomplishes nothing other times. My regular tech is good but when Ehrlich sends someone else they don't seem to make much of an effort. There is one national call center; no one to contact locally. The people on the phone have one limited script and cannot get you to any supervisor for assistance. The techs are no longer able to schedule appointments. I live in a large halfway house that has a very slight bed bug issue. An issue that should have been resolved in two weeks. Well, two months later, $20,000.00 later i am sitting here waiting again for the guy to show up. They would have scheduled times on Thursdays to show up. They would either show up late or not at all. Instead of arriving on this scheduled time every week they would come every other week. Which did nothing for the pest issue. One guy even got in the face of a resident and was very disrespectful and confrontational. This is a tantamount to a cash grab company that knows how to milk the most out of an individual. read more

They make you wait days for an appointment, require a credit card to make the appointment and then on the day of the appointment don't call , don't show up and claim that they don't have a record of the appointment but you have my info and credit card information? I am absolutely furious! I called Ehrlich (partially based on the stellar reviews) and made an appointment with them this past Monday. The appointment was supposed to be for this morning between 8 and 12. Well, no one showed up. It took 2 follow-up phone calls (one from me and one from my brother). First, they said that our appointment was for September 3rd. Nope - I have the confirmation email from them saying that it was for August 19th. They were supposed to find out what happened and call me back. They didn't. My brother called. He was told the local office says they are not taking any new customers and they will call and advise us of that. WHEN? AFTER the appointment time has passed apparently! I will NEVER use them again! I used Ehrlich in a previous home so when I needed pest control service in my new home they were the first company I contacted. While the tech, Jerry was a nice guy, he failed to address our year long, multiple requests for rodent control (mice/chipmunks) always stating it was not the season. Someone should let the mice know that because my husbands hillbilly mouse traps collect rodents year round. Fact is, if we have to do our own rodent control, we can spray for spiders too. Associate Jessica went out of her way to try to rectify the situation, even calling me back with updates that the District Manager would be in touch....gave them another week...no calls from Manager. Run, run far. I got quoted one price and charged another. When I called to get it corrected it was a huge hassle. Finally got my credit that was due. First, treatment did nothing, they had to come back to respray. This month was my next scheduled treatment and imagine to my surprise (NOT) I was billed incorrectly again. Talked to accounts receivable and was told when I called the last time my pest treatment was changed. Something I did not authorize. I signed up for a plan that only bills me $49.00 per treatment and was charged $153.70. I got no cooperation from accounts receivable to return my money. Asked for my service to be cancelled. Also asked for a confirmation email that service is to be cancelled. I did get an email regarding my pending cancellation. Also, so disappointed that I cannot call anyone local. read more

They offered me a "free" service of annual inspection of my home and on the day of the service I called to confirm my appointment and two hours after the appointment time no one had shown up. When I called to follow up I was told the technician was told to cancel my appointment but did not have the curtesy to contact me and tell me. I had been a customer for 3 years and received an email an hour later stating I had been terminated as a customer with no reason given. They also took it upon themselves to take money directly from my account without authorization, they used an old debt card on file I hadn't used to pay in two years!! Reading these dozens of 1 star reviews is like therapy. I thought it was only me. I've been getting calls every 4 days for 2 years telling me my account is past due - despite their portal showing nothing due and us having cashed checks to back us up. This got so annoying I had to block their number (different number than their scheduling one). This is on top of them missing most appointments that WE call to schedule. They have never called us to let us know when our quarterly appoints are - despite repeated asks to do so. Until he retired we had an awesome tech who took it upon himself to notify us and gave us his personal number in case we had an emergency. He recommended we just bypass the office because they're useless. He was the only thing that made Ehrlich tolerable. Now that he is gone there's nothing to recommend about Ehrlich. We've moved on to a locally owned company that shows up and actually costs $40 LESS a month. read more

I had been a long time customer of Bliss Exterminators and had been very satisfied however after they sold their business to Ehrlich, within a short time, I noticed that we began to get lousy service. Instead of receiving notices of when the service guys would do inspections, we never knew if and when they showed up. When I called I was told that the servicemen only do exterior and the service no longer includes checking the basement. After I complained repeatedly after getting my annual bills but no follow up on my complaints, I was dropped as a customer without being notified. As a homeowner it's important to have a termite inspection service but it's outrageous to feel like I was being ripped off and then when I complained, I was dumped! My advice is find a local reliable exterminator company! I'd rate them with no stars! read more

Common things like a service call window of less than 8am to 6pm since that is a long time to lock up pets and wait at home elicit a rude and condescending response. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years for their 72.00 per month PESTFREE 365 PEST CONTROL SERVICE. For several years we had a dedicated technician Richard who was service oriented, responsive, and a true partner with our family when it came to our extermination needs. However, upon his retirement, service deteriorated to a point where we've now cancelled our service. They call daily saying we're past due on billing when we're paid to date. They send different technicians on a quarterly basis that fail to partner with our family on our extermination needs, and when a special service is needed - they fail to meet our needs in a timely fashion. Recently, we had a yellow jacket infestation that needed to be serviced. When I called scheduling to schedule an appointment I was told there was no technician availability within the district and I needed to wait for scheduling to call me back. After 48 hours, no return call, so I called again. This is where I learned that a technician would be to my home that day between noon and 5pm. When no technician arrived by 5:30pm - I called in again and was told that they would have the technician call me. When he called, he notified me that he was in Wayne and had three appointments before me and would be arriving back in my hometown around 7:30pm to 8:00pm - well after dark. I told him, that I would call scheduling to reschedule for the next day. Well, that is where I hit a brick wall. When speaking with scheduling, NO ONE COULD ASSIST. There was no appointments for the next day and a ticket would need to be submitted. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they had no way to escalate to a manager and would have to wait 48 hours for a managers return call. Later that night I called again to see if someone could assist and was told no. This was our breaking point and I told the inbound call taker to cancel our subscription and our service call for I needed a company the next day. I immediately called another company that scheduled our home for the next day at 8:00am. The kicker to all of this..... the Ehrlich technician still arrived at 5:30pm the next day - and attempted to service our home with NO ONE HOME! They never called to say they were coming and more importantly never realized that I had cancelled EVERYTHING the night before! I'm baffled by their deterioration and felt I needed to tell other. Look somewhere else. This company can no longer service your needs. read more

Don't every every give them your banking information. We had them for many years. On Nov 14 I canceal my service scheduled for Nov 18. They never performed the services but still took 54.00 out of my account. On Dec 14 they took another 54.00 out of my account. Services never provide.on Dec 28 I called them and they said I would get my back. Never happened. Jan 14 I called and started all over again with the story. Again they said I would get my money back. Today 1/30 I called to see when I could expect my check and today they informed I was not getting a refund. So just be careful if you give you you sign a contract and if they have your billing information. read more

Buyer beware of the West Chester branch's services. I've used Ehrlich pest control at a rental property in the Harrisburg area and had no problems, so when I called them IN MAY to handle a squirrel issue in my home, I thought I would be set. Do not use the local Ehrlich services. I've had to stay home from work three or four times to meet them. A sales guy was here twice and two different techs to my house three or four times - with no solution found. When you call the local number - you get someone in a call center. Depending on the call center person you get on the phone - they'll try to charge you each time someone comes out. Their services are not cheap. The last time, a very nice man who said he was the local manager or supervisor came, thought he finally found the problem, and told me they would be in touch within the next week to schedule a tech to come out. That was about 6 weeks ago. Moral of the story: I still have squirrels in my attic and I'll have to call someone else now. read more
