Ehlers Estate was beautiful. We were referred to it by a friend that represents another wine company nearby. We are beginners and Rosa made us feel like we were in her home. She is an absolute gem!! Thank you Rosa!!!

Ehlers Estate Winery was such a treat! It was the first winery we'd stopped at on our day of tasting and I was so excited to try it out! Driving up to Ehlers Estate is gorgeous as many, many vines as visible. The buildings of the Estate are all beautifully decorated and the history behind them is fascinating. I hadn't seen a wine egg before so that was especially cool to see here! As we were walking up, we were greeted immediately once we walked in. Our tasting table had been set up and the gal that was helping us was wonderful. She had such a great attitude and really seemed to enjoy her career there. The setup for the tasting was beautifully laid out and thoughtful. Ehlers is really into symbolism and there are quite some wonderful ones from the wine bottles, to the paintings, to the ones around the property. Our tasting consisted of one rose and red wines. The Cab Franc is a really special wine here.. though it will set you back a bit. Though I didn't find any wines I wanted to take home this time, Ehlers really has a passion for wine and they donate a large portion of their profits. Really loved this place! 9/10 recommend

Ehlers Estate continues to be one of my favorite places in the Valley. Situated in St. Helena, Ehlers Estate has an interesting history that alone makes it worth a visit. But their wines, more specifically the 1886, should be the main reasons why.

Mario & Rosa were amazing!!!!!! So knowledgeable, accommodating, hospitable, & personal. We had a LOVELY tasting with Mario & we loved all the wines. Would recommend time & time again! We sat outside in the garden near the olive trees & despite the construction they did the best at transforming the experience into something comfortable & personalized.

My lovely colleagues and I were partaking in the Estate Tasting at Ehlers Estate on Monday, March 25. Our fabulous guide was Gessica and I could not recommend her enough for your tasting experience! She is very knowledgeable, positive, super friendly and just all in all have a lovely aura! The newly renovated tasting room is this quiet, historical place where you instantly feel welcomed. The highlights were the 2022 Dry Creek Sauvignon Blanc, the 2016 Cabernet Franc and the 2018 Portrait which is a beautiful Cab Dominant Blend. Gessica also took us out for a walk around the property and the experience could not been more enjoyable!

Having experienced dozens of tastings across Napa Valley -- large, medium, small, and tiny -- I have to say this was one of the most disappointing visits I have had. That said, the wines are fine, but these days in Napa it is all about the 'experience' of visiting a winery and this is where Ehlers fell down. I had an appointment, was shuffled between three staff for my tasting, and left alone for at least 80% of my tasting. A bit tough to ask questions, etc. when no one is around. This was disappointment especially being a customer of theirs. When I am tasting, I prefer to get a different glass. Usually for each wine, but at least between the whites and reds, but not here. One for all and all for one. I was also interested in the artwork being shown, but my staff didn't know anything about it. Also I caught a bit of attitude when I wanted to place my order at the end of my visit, which was the final straw of me being unable to overlook the other shortcomings of my visit. Could have been a bad day, but for me it will be 'one and done' for this winery and I will return to places where the experience was much better.

My family has been wine club members off and on for years. Last week I visited the estate for the second time. I visited 8 other vineyards during our short stay, and while a few of the other vineyards had 1 or 2 wines I thought could be considered better, Ehler's provided the most consistency across the board for a great price. Every wine was fantastic. It's always our families favorite visit. Having our names on the chalkboard, waiting for us at our tasting table is a nice touch. Bernard led us through the tasting and gave us some valuable pointers on cellaring and peak times of some of the wines we had bought with them over the years. Ehler's allowed us to store our picnic lunch we brought in their fridge, which we enjoyed out in the Olive grove after our tasting. Ehler's true strength is in that they don't have a multi year waiting list in order to purchase wines like some other vineyards, but still offer a very personalized and boutique feel. Can't wait to enjoy the 2011 1886 Cab we picked up from the library and can't wait to visit again!

An absolutely stunning facility, perfect for causally sipping on great wines. Our guide was incredibly sweet and walked us through all of the different wines and a bit of history on the vineyard and their new wine maker. We were able to tour the facility a bit and walk around their pretty gardens and vineyards. Atmosphere and ambiance was top notch, and we were also impressed with the quality of the wines. Very much a relaxed atmosphere as far as tastings go, and on the higher quality side. Highly recommend.

We had a good time here. Nice wine and nice Service. They have a little section that displays their DIY candles and necklaces made from their wine bottles and corks. The best part is I love their complimentary bread sticks. :)

Thank you Ehlers for a wonderful experience. Celebrated my birthday in Napa and this was the second winery we went to. The winery itself is rustic chic and the wines were delicious. When we arrived late to our appointment the staff was incredibly kind. The personal touches is what made this my favorite winery of the day. On the tasting list they printed happy birthday Camila and waived my tasting fee! They waive a fee per 2 bottles which is not hard to do because the wine is wonderful and the customer service is great! Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday, Ehlers Estate!

We started our day here with the "Start your Day" tasting. What better way to start your day than with Bouchon croissants and great wine? Charlotte was our host and we enjoyed our time with her. We started out with the Sauvignon Blanc and moved on to the Cabernet Franc, Portrait Red and the 1886 Cabernet Sauvignon while enjoying the croissants, walking through the gardens, vineyards and barrel room. We even had a taste of a future release while out in the barrell room. The grounds are beautiful and the tasting room is is in an old stone building, but still manages to have a modern feel. The wines were all great and we shipped home some of everything we tried. It's resrvation only, but it's well worth your time to make a reservation and visit.

What an experience! This winery has so much history, and the sommelier Bree was very knowledgeable about the history and quality of the wines. I don't want to give up my favorite because they were low in quantity, and my sweetie AKA GA and I EC plan on ordering a few cases. Another personal detail that caught my attention was the E shape on its bottles with a silhouette with its meaning and caused it's heartfelt and wonderful

I like Ehlers wines. Mostly a cab specialist, Ehlers has a few others too. The winery is an 1886 stone building nicely appointed. The grounds are beautiful. All grapes grown onsite.

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

I came across the Legacy Cave Tour, which is adults-only and offers a lower fee for non-drinkers, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the online booking didn't work for me, so I had to call to make the reservation. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk gave me a bit of a weird vibe. After looking up our reservation, she said, "Oh, indeed you do have a reservation." It just felt like an odd response, like... why wouldn't we? is it because we're brown? We arrived a little early, so we spent some time browsing the gift shop upstairs. That's where we met our guide, Will, who was lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and he asked if we'd been given a birthday sticker. Apparently they offer special occasion stickers at the front, which the check-in woman never mentioned, but Will made sure we got one, which was a nice touch. The tour itself was a small group, which I really liked. We went into the cave, and for those drinking, the tour included 3 wines. It was interesting learning about the history of Beringer Vineyards, and again, Will did a great job explaining everything. One thing I do wish they offered: for non-drinkers, it would be nice to have something like grape juice or a non-alcoholic option during the tour. There were a few of us in that situation, and it felt a little odd not having anything to sip on. After the tour, we walked the grounds, which was really nice. It's free to explore the property and browse the gift shop, which makes it a pleasant stop even beyond the tour itself. We ended up buying a couple bottles to take home, along with a wine barrel mug that my husband liked.

My friends and I were limited in our wine knowledge and he admitted that he felt like all wine tastes the same. However, once we took our very first sip, the fruity, buttery notes completely changed our minds. She sets the image about drinking this near a pool and I immediately would get transported to her explanations. It was giving "Remy" from "Ratatouille" moment when you close your eyes and see/feel all the different imagery. Throughout the tour, we are educated on the fact that they have two different addresses because they are at the border of both Sonoma County and Napa! Literally best of both worlds! Afterwards, we tried multiple different wines in their caves and educated on the different notes, how to hold our wine glasses, and the importance of everything. Before this experience, I was completely unaware of what to look for, but now I feel like I have a better understanding of everything.
