We found this restaurant on Yelp. The Shakshuka intrigued us as we had had enjoyed similar dishes in Hawaii and Phoenix, under different appellations. This obviously popular eatery, had a line of 4-5 groups when we arrived midday Friday. We have some strict dietary rules. The, woman who was at the desk to take our order (later we learned a partner/owner), was patient and took the time to consult with the cook regarding ingredients. Her friendly consideration with our concerns was heartwarming. The Shakshuka was eggsceptional. Prepared to my wife's preference, eggs poached hard, piping hot and delicious. We shared this dish, i also had a biscuit, I love biscuits and this one was wonderful. Everyone must try the bavarian cream croissant, which was outstanding. The coffee hot, with a pot for our table, and delicious. It was so wonderful that we are taking our grandchildren there this morning. It is worth the 13 mile 25 minute drive. If you are ever near Antioch TN, try this locally owned and family run, family friendly dining spot. Truly eggstravaganza but not extravagant, prices reasonable beyond belief. read more

Went there on Sunday morning before leaving town. We all had the American breakfast, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and grits or potatoes. I had eggs over easy, sausage and potatoes with a side order of biscuit and gravy( a half biscuit). It was very good. My wife had bacon and grits. The portions are a pretty good size. You order and sit down. Coffee is served in your own small pot. read more

I absolutely love this place. The food is really great. Literally they have my favorite coffee of any restaurant I've been to. But the service is second to none as well. They make you feel like a regular even when you aren't yet, and go the extra mile when they don't have to!!! The system of ordering before you sit down works great as well. I have never felt like the wait was too long for the experience or father excellent food. These guys have it down to a science!!! read more

This is the best place to go for breakfast and the service is absolutely phenomenal! I am obsessed with their crepes - they're perfectly thin and cooked. They come with a filling on the inside (it's hard to pick a fave but the Nutella is up there!) and fruit on top. It's addictive! They are always so warm and lovely in there and always remember their return customers! It's impeccable service and a family-owned business. I found the location with ease in a small strip. I was promptly greeted. I was informed I can grab a seat then order at the front, pay, and the food will be brought to me. So if you're the type that likes to tip after you have eaten, bring cash for that. Everyone checks in on you. The place holds less than 40 ppl. I found a 2 top, and I had to go get my jacket from the car because the air was on. I assume to prevent the place from getting hot cause the kitchen was busy! I went to order and I was offered water. I ordered the nutella crepes with a side of turkey sausage. When I sat down I was given a little basket of fried crispy dough with powdered sugar. I tried one and it was ok. My food came out quickly. I was offered ketchup or hot sauce. I thought that was odd for what I ordered but I noticed everyone was asked that. My crepes looked just like a previous yelp post. I could the turkey sausage patties were the frozen kind, but I can apprieate that they were hot from the grill and I got 3 for my side. All was delicious. The manager came by and asked how my food was. That was nice. I see a pro and con to paying ahead. Pro: it helps the flow of the dining room where servers are not bothered with checks. Especially since all drinks are self serve too except coffee and juice. Con: a lot of ppl are standing by the door waiting to order and if you're walking in, you may think it's a crowd or get confused as to what to do. Also I noticed ppl grabbing tables and their whole party was not present. So it can cause a wait when someone has their whole party there. read more

I love it here!! An Eastern European take on southern food and it's truly something special. Cozy and inviting atmosphere, and a friendly staff that recognizes and knows their customers. Be prepared to wait! There can be a line to the door some mornings, but the staff is efficient and completes orders quickly. I always order a latte and sip on that while munching on the little fried pastries they bring to the table. Shrimp and grits, ham skillet, chicken and waffle, and the side of hash brown casserole are some of our favorites. read more

Know where you plan to sit beforehand because they ask when you order to bring it out to you. I got a Cuban coffee. Never had it before but it seemed like a specialty and went for it. Suh good! I was expecting it to be a bit more bitter after googling Cuban coffee but it was smooth and delish! For breakfast we ordered the shakshuka eggs and the pork Benedict. The shakshuka flavor was sooooooo good. I wanna bathe in the sauce. The pork Benedict was good too but we need a little extra hollandaise. On both items, the eggs were over cooked but it was actually fine since I'm pregnant and aren't supposed to eat runny eggs anyway lol. read more

This is a small footprint breakfast cafe that serves up delicious food. The recipes have twists to them for traditional breakfast items that sets them well above chain restaurants. Love the omelette with Serrano peppers instead of more traditional Jalapeño being used. The skillet is amazing especially with the spicy pork belly. The Waffles and Pancakes both have a buttery sweet flavor. Bacon is cooked perfectly Lots of home made items (free appetizer of crapes, muffins, jelly and more). The service was very good. We brought 4 grandkids (7 & under) and within 5 minutes of sitting down one of them spilled an entire glass of water on the table. The servers immediately jumped on it and cleaned up the mess and did so with a good attitude. They use a system of ordering at the front desk and you can see how this streamlined the process of getting orders to the kitchen timely and in order. It is a small nuisance to have to get up from the table and order additional items and pay for them separately, but this process is done well. I would have nicked the rating down from 5-star for not being able to stay relaxed at the table and order from a server, but everything else was exceptional. This is a small restaurant. We had a party of 8 and we're very lucky any party reserved the table and didn't show up. It is wise to call the day before and reserve for bigger parties. Most of the seating is for 2-4 people. There is seating outside on the sidewalk (maybe 5 tables)I. Suggestion to Restaurant: add coloring opportunities for kids while they wait for food. Because the kids were complaining of hunger we had to order for them 1st and then after they got their food the adults ordered in a 2nd round. I'm not a huge traditional breakfast fan so I loved how many 'lunchy' options they had on the menu. I ordered the BLT with fried green tomatoes. My friend got an omelette and a side of hash browns and her son got some chocolate chip pancakes. When you sit down they bring every table a basket of house made beignets. We devoured them. Service was quick and kind. I hear the eggs were good (I hate eggs so I'll take her word for it). Pancakes were fluffy and scrumptious. Fried green tomato BLT was legit! Came on bread made locally and a spicy aioli. Great crunch on the tomatoes, good bite from the sauce, bacon perfectly cooked and the lettuce was fresh and not wilted. One of the best I've had! Was in the Brentwood area just in time for late lunch when we happened to pass by this place; rustic but cozy. Ordered Burger with mushroom, swiss cheese and caramelized onions, potato kale soup, and Hash Brown casserole with sausage. From afar the burger looked small but when it was placed in front of me I saw the thickness of the meat and the overflowing cheese. Wow! I loved it. The soup was just ok for my taste and for the hash brown, I probably would have enjoyed it more if the bottom were crispier. Service was ok; customer service? Probably a bit more of it would be nice. Our only real critique is that the skillet had excessive oil in it, however it was still delicious. We mentioned it to the staff, they apologized and appreciated the feedback. Had a decent breakfast at Eggstravaganza. I arrived at 7:15am and there was only 1 other customer there. I ordered at the counter and seated myself at a seat close to the kitchen. My omelette came out very quickly and it was much better than the omelette I tried at First Watch. The breakfast potatoes were okay but I prefer mine grilled. They brought me a few Angel Wings to try. I expected them to be hot out of the fryer. But, they were room temperature and probably made a day or two before. Not really my thing but I appreciated the thought. I also appreciated that they brought a coffee pot to the table so I didn't have to ask for refills. It stayed hot for my entire meal and there was enough leftover for me to take a cup to go. read more

The food is great, one of the better places to eat. However, their whole order then sit system, just doesn't work . You spend a half hour waiting in line while there is all these empty tables. I watch pregnant people and handicapped people having to wait in line while this horrible system is implemented. You have this much business coming in the door, its time to switch to a normal sit and order style. We almost left this place because there is no servers and you have to order at a counter. But it looked busy so we thought it might be a good sign. And boy or boy we didn't regret staying! Seems like it's owned or operated by Polish couple and they definitely integrated some European flare to southern comfort food. They will give you some fried dough for appetizer (and it's not bagnier) and it's very very good! All the meals we had were delicious and I even had to order an extra side of grits because they were too good to pass on. Please try this cafe if you are in the area. You won't regret it!! read more
