My Wife and I Stopped in for breakfast and we were really pleased with the look of the place a cozy little place that wasn't overly crowded or loud. We sampled the southern pecan coffee, which is a regular Saturday coffee, and we decided to try out the Breakfast. I got the Kitchen sink omelette with Avocado, my wife ordered the vanilla French toast. The food is delicious and our breakfast came out perfect and quickly, the staff were very friendly and efficient. The offerings of fresh baked goods were very tempting, but watching the carbs these days, so maybe another time. I did get a bag of fresh roasted coffee beans to try, so looking forward to that. read more

The restaurant was cute inside and warm. I liked the atmosphere a lot. I did find it semi-confusing to order a coffee because there were so many options. I like to just pick a name and go with that usually I don't like to have to tell each single ingredient I want to add because I'm not ever sure which ingredients need to be added to my coffee But the food and coffee was delicious. So I have only been to Mama's Java twice and they both have been on a Saturday morning and also a pickup/order ahead. The first time I cameI went through the drive through and ordered at the window and got my meal super quick. I was amazed by their breakfast burrito and how good their ice vanilla latte was. The second time was a mobile order pick up. I was there at the estimated time but still have to wait an extra 15 mins. I will say it was a Saturday to probably the peak time for a cafe. But, it was not seasoned, it had several peppers and chorizo inside but no seasoning on the eggs. I was fairly surprised. The bread had no butter or jelly to go on them. As you can see by the photos that the ambiance is amazing! This place made me feel at home as I'm an eclectic person as well. Grew up with a large family...nothing matched and was plenty of room for more. This place also gad a feeling that when you walk in alone, you are not alone. It's not a yuppy place but the vibe is sorta Woodstock and does have very young clientele who are very friendly and very helpful. This was my first time here. I actually was parked in front of another coffee house but this one popped up on Yelp. I'm glad I went. I ride motorcycle as well and know a few groups that would live this place. The parking lot has plenty of space, is handicap accessible and has a nice, cute little outside seating area. I don't get in the area often but I will definitely be back. Signed up for promos. This place was worth trying again. I was definitely the youngest person in the restaurant, and I was surprised that they had a drive thru and a pretty large (for a coffee shop) food menu. I didn't order any food, but I might try some next time. I ordered a plain coffee and it was fine. My husband ordered a frozen hot chocolate, and he said he would go back and get it again. The staff was very nice and quick to take my order. It seemed like it would be good based on the number of people. They were quick with my order but those are the only positives. The coffee was burnt and the syrup they used left a horrible after taste. When you spend $7 on a cup of coffee you expect better. I will not spend my money here again. Mama's Java is a great, locally owned coffee shop with a drive-thru! The owner is absolutely lovely and will do whatever it is to make your order right (because, hey, everyone makes mistakes). I rarely go inside as it can be busy so I usually grab my coffee and breakfast at the drive-thru. They'll remember you AND give your dog a treat! My go-to coffee here is the spiced chai. The other versions of their chai are a a bit too sweet for me (& will be for you if you like a traditional one). I also love the roll-up! I don't drink coffee, so I will not comment on it. A breakfast burrito and a protein shake are the reason I come. They use pea protein which is way better than that soy or whey garbage. You actually get real fruits put into your shake. The burrito is small, but it hits the spot when combined with the shake. The service is excellent and the people are nice. I also think it is cool you can see the big coffee machine inside. It is not a 5 star restaurant, but I rate it five because what I get is on-point every time. Very home town mom and pop feel. Excellent menu choices, especially for those who want healthier fare. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They came by our table multiple times to ask if we needed anything. I had the Italian flag quinoa bowl which was outstanding. My friend had a build your own omelette which she said was great. A bit disappointed with my breakfast yesterday. I ordered simple bacon and eggs with toast plate. I asked for crispy bacon got soggy. I asked for eggs over well, got it well done. I asked for wheat toast and got charged two dollars more. I asked for hot coffee and got lukewarm. For $11 plus dollars and what I received was inadequate. Coffee and hand made breakfast and pastries are a mainstay, but now Mama's Java is open on Friday and Saturday night with beer and wine and a small selection of snacks and desserts. Yum. My first and last visit. First the good: the staff was working hard and the cafe was both cute and clean. My iced green tea was good. My companion liked her avocado toast although she ordered her egg over easy and it came scrambled. Now the bad. My companion's latte was undrinkable. This is bad for a place with coffee literally part of the name. Her donut was only ok. My omelet was nicely prepared, but it was completely unseasoned. Not under seasoned. No seasoning at all. No salt and pepper on the table. My "hash browns" were the frozen patty version served at fast food places. My toast was cold and barely toasted and not buttered. Butter is provided on request. Cold butter on cold toast isn't delicious. All in all it was overpriced and underwhelming for what we got. read more

Cute Cute Cute place! We are relatively new to the area and I stumbled upon Mama Java's when I went for an early morning doctor's appointment nearby. I opened my Yelp app and looked for coffee and this came up .02 miles away. It's a little mom and pop shop, with lots of tables and very homey decor. I got online and started looking at their wonderful pastries but sadly was in the mood for savory. One complaint is that they don't have a menu up on the wall to help you make decisions prior to your turn in line. If they do have menus elsewhere, I didn't see them. So, of course, the poor people behind me had to wait as I perused the menu for the first time. I chose the 'make your own breakfast sandwich' option and went with egg, bacon, and American cheese on ciabatta. Can you say HOLY BREAKFAST SANDWICH BATMAN?! It was huge with 2 eggs and very thickly sliced bacon. I barely ate two bites and I was full (I.E. happy hubby). I also had a latte, a latte sandwich...lol...okay that was stupid. I did have a lotte though and it was wonderful. If you're in a rush you might want to order ahead as everything is made to order and takes a bit of time. Very happy to find this little gem in Nolensville and I'll be back to visit for sure! read more

A friend recommended this place to us with specific instructions to order the Kitchen Sink omelette. Solid suggestion, we've never had white gravy over omelette but it's really good. Their coffee is the best and strongest I've ever had. I love their food as well. It's so healthy, & I love their service. The people that work there are so sweet and nice. I usually get a frozen hot chocolate with an espresso shot in it. It's delicious! I love this place more than Starbucks! While I wait for my food, I like to go to the coffee jar wall and smell all the coffee flavors. Banana cream is my favorite smell.
