    Santorini Scrambler
    Monica M.

Went to Eggsmart over Labour Day weekend and did dine-in. Ordered the Santorini Scrambler! It was really tasty, and the right balance of all the ingredients! Got two pieces of toast with strawberry jam and their signature home fries included. The ambiance was nice and the service was quick and friendly!

Insanely surprised at the rating of this place on Yelp considering the experience I had. I'm here on a little vacation and was looking for a cute spot for breakfast. The service was incredibly fast and attentive, we got sat, asked drinks and given drinks in 2 minutes- which is the fastest I've ever had- during the morning rush. The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The place was clean, bright, and overall a great experience. And my girlfriend thought the same about everything. The only con of the experience was the smoothie. I got the Mango smoothie and it was a little too think so it was hard to sip through the straw, and the smoothie didn't taste enough of ripe mango for my liking. Would come back!

    Potatoes were burnt. Disgusting!

This place use to be so good! What happened? Needless to say, I was shocked when they gave me these burnt potatoes. Who would serve these and think it is acceptable?

Egg bennie with 6oz steak (rare) and freshly squeezed orange juice.

ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs benedict with 6oz steak and traded half of my eggs benedict and steak for a eggs bennie with smoked salmon. i prefered the steak more. the salmon was too salty for my mood today. also came with some roasted potatoes, a slice of cantaloupe and a slice of watermelon. i shook black pepper onto both my egg bennies and the potatoes for much needed flavour. orange juice was meh. too much pulp for my liking. more or less what you get at any eggsmart though.

My friend added 1.99 to switch from a Texas toast to French toast but the French toast looks terribly disgusting( see photos attached).

The patio was unfortunately in the shade and it was a bit windy and cold, but our hot beverages helped keep us warm. Get there early if you want pastries as they do sell out. If you plan to dine in, you pick a seat and then order at the cafe and settle up then they bring you your food. There's a place outside for you to place your used dishes after you're done. The lunch menu (after 11am) is limited. The croque monsieur ($19) was the size of a regular slice of bread and came with a salad. The roast beef sandwich on baguette was the tiniest sandwich I've seen at a cafe. For almost $15 we thought it would be a much bigger sandwich. The sizing of it would have been more appropriately advertised as a kids meal. We thought the meal was very much overpriced for the portion sizes we got.

Not fall off the bone as they were the year before. Pulled pork - not good at all. Had a vinegar flavour and really disappointed. Brisket - incredible and to die for. Al least one dish was great. Fries and slaw were very good. Burnt ends - for $17 you got 5 pieces swimming in a sea of sauce. 1/2 were flavorful and 1/2 so rock hard and impossible to chew. Overall this is the worst experience we have had with this take out. We get takeout every year once or twice each time we are up in the blue mountain. May need to try a chain like Montana's next time as we were so disappointed this time.

After a friendly welcome by the Hostess, we met our server, also very friendly and helpful. He brought our drinks right away & gave us time to make our choices, fish & chips for 3 and Chicken parmesan for me. While waiting for our meals, I ogled the meals being delivered to other guests and have to say, they all looked quite appetizing! When our meals arrived, we all were pleased with how good everything looked and started right in. The fish was crispy on the outside, nice and firm on the inside, beautifully done. The fries were good too. My chicken Parm was excellent, served with penne & Alfredo sauce. The chicken had a lovely breaded crust and was tender on the inside, had a nice sauce and the cheese was perfectly melty and chewy. I've had chicken Parm many times, none of them were terrible, but this was the best I've had. We all agreed we would be happy to come and eat here again. The seating was comfortable, not crowded, with various seating options. There was nothing negative about this meal or the service so I have to leave all five stars. BTW I got all thumbs up on my restaurant choice from our group

Okkkkie dokie Came…read morehere for a family reunion invitation. My elders suggested the place. Mind was thinking hmmm will it be a good place? Drove up with the family to join the shin dig. The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Fresh food for what we ordered. Hidden gem at this seafood restaurant was the tomahawk steak- MVP!. Give this place a try!!! Service was good 4/5

Shared an order of mussels in Thai sauce, sauce was good but the smallest mussels I've ever seen. Good, not great. Being from Nova Scotia I should know better than to order seafood chowder in Ontario but they did say they were a seafood restaurant. It came to the table as a rather grey looking goop with a shrimp and two mussels stuck on top. They were the only identifiable seafood in the chowder plus I only found one potato chunk. My friend had the Thai red curry soup which was more of a risotto than a soup and while not horrible was underwhelming. I won't be going back and to boot, the jazz band didn't show up!
