First time here and overall it was great! My waitress Tamia was very attentive and honest able options to try on the menu. I ordered the steak and egg breakfast. My steak was cooked medium, just like I asked. Lots of carbs on the menu, wasn't a huge fan of that. The fruit options were not the greatest and not a ton of healthier options. Food - priced and plated well, but just okay Service - swift and attentive Ambiance - awesome The vibe (ambiance and service) alone is worth the visit, but the food was actually just okay. Let me repeat: it's worth the visit. From the moment we opened the door--like literally *before* we crossed the threshold--we were welcomed by the people, the music, and the space. The hostesses voices literally wafted out of the door to greet us before I could even understand that the greeting was for us or who was speaking to us. They doted on my young children and made them feel welcomed from the second we were actually inside the door. The music!! It was on point for me. It went from Janet Jackson (velvet rope album) to India.Arie to MJB to Alicia Keys...I mean, I was in a 90s-2000s version of my favorite pandora playlist. The children's menu lets them pick 3 items so we ordered a variety so they could have different things. Everything was displayed beautifully; see pics for the food. The best items on the table were the pancakes and french toast. The worst was the home fries; they were over cooked and very hard, actually inedible. When I go back (not if), I will do the most logical thing and order one of the omelettes I waffled about this morning. Like truly, why did I not order eggs at a place with egg in the title? ‍ Other cool things: --the restrooms are single use and clean --everything is new and not beat up because this is a new place. The booster seat for my toddler was top notch in terms of restaurant community seating goes --we met the owner. He was kind and engaging, and surprised to hear the home fries weren't a hit. This place is amazing!!! The atmosphere is inviting, friendly, welcoming. The hostess is friendly, efficient, and provides realistic wait times. The menu is full of exciting and flavorful experiences. The servers are more like friends, giving the feeling of being over at a friend's home for a meal, except with a check. While traditional dishes are served, some of the dishes are creative and allow one to experience new flavor mixes (super delicious). The server Cierra, is delightful and warm. I have never had disappointing meal from this restaurant and I try something new every time I go! I highly recommend this experience to any food lover. Our servers name was KiKi. We have had the pleasure of dining in more than a few times... Shes consistently full of joy and excitement. She always manages to make us feel at home and she has consistently provided awesome customer service and recommendations. All in all the entire staff is always friendly. The food is worth the wait! My go to is the croissants donuts! The Texican bowl with turkey sausage is awesome!!! I like the dark brew coffee the most...and the OJ is always fresh. Ask for KiKi!!! I did order some type of cinnabun cappuccino. It was yummy! My date ordered French toast home fries and bacon and he was not happy about his meal. He told me my cooking was better to him on a bad day. Sorry to give such poor rating being that this place is on the south side of town and needed. I was disappointed in the waitstaff that walked around in slow motion although there was a wait to be seated. It appears maybe they are short staffed, not sure but there were many open tables but they were not seating at them. Lastly, the ambiance is mediocre. It's not bad and it's not good. The place could use a little sprucing up in the decor department. They have the host stand pushed up against a booth. The person stands with her back to the door. It would be better served to turn it around to face the door and provide a designated space for the host. While we were eating we noticed customers standing right at the host stand, kind of in her space. I would never go back to this restaurant because I'm expecting a different experience when i go out to eat. The food here is wonderful. I had the shrimp omelet and garlic cheese grits with avocado toast. They also made a peach and watermelon mimosa to die for. We had two pitchers. Every time that I have ordered food here, I have been very satisfied. The food is great. The portions are great The prices are good. I live 3 minutes from another breakfast/ brunch restaurant but I drive to Mt. Zion for this food. The service is great. There is no added gratuity, therefore I am happy to tip. Love them! read more

Staff was very friendly as always but my to go order was not done correctly, my potatoes weren't made crispy as asked and sauce for patty melt was not given. The worst food and service. We paid $53.00 for Breakfast. The grits were like water and the waiter response was everyone is complaining. Charged an extra $7 40 per ticket because 7 of us came in together but couldn't sit at the same table We sat together in two different booths. Manager agreed to adjust the charge but left and came stating she couldn't. Reason 1-we had the same waiter. Reason 2-we could still communicate over the two booth that separated us. We had a great breakfast served quickly by a young lady who was fun and had a great attitude. She was such a great server. We enjoyed talking to her so much. I got an omelette and biscuits and gravy. Omelette was good with fresh ingredients. I really didn't need the biscuits and gravy, but wanted to try them. I'm so glad I did! Biscuits were soft and buttery and the gravy was flavorful and loaded with chunks of sausage. I also got home fries that were delicious. Check it out if you're in the area.
