My parents and I stopped here for breakfast on our way back to Florida. Waffle House is a Southern staple and the day shift is always a pleasure. We did have to wait for some time to order as our waiter had several time and had a patch over her eye. The table were clean and so was the restaurant. We all ordered the chicken sausage because we don't eat pork and also was surprised to see that they had an alternative to their typical sausage option. The chicken sausage was pretty flavorful, a tad bit salty but had great spice to it. The food was fresh and came out hot. Definitely was a good breakfast experience. read more

This Waffle House is a simple chain spot offering American diner fare and all-day breakfast, including signature waffles. Went in couple of days back for dinner around 7 PM. Although there was only one employee working in the whole restaurant, she handled everything perfectly from cooking, cleaning to cashier job. Ordered Grilled Chicken Breast with cheese, lettuce, tomato and grilled onions, which was served on a grilled bun, and Hash Browns with jalapeno peppers. Both tasted good and tasty. Reasonable and affordable pricing. Ample free parking in front of the restaurant. If your on Mount Zion road, check them out. It's right next to Costco. I would be back again soon. read more

If I could leave a 0 I would. What service???? I just went into the Waffle House on Mt. Zion to get a bite. I was refused service because there was only one staff person in a totally empty restaurant. I asked if he could just serve me since I was alone. It is 3:20pm July 3rd. He said he told some other people that came before it was take out only. He told me I could eat in my car. The outside temp is currently 87. I asked if that was a corporate mandate. Sunday, 18FEB2024. As soon as i walk in there was a young black girl arguing with an older white lady. These are employees. The older white lady was saying sorry for the wait we are short handed while she's leaning on the counter doing nothing. There's one black woman standing waiting to pay. The young black girl at the register is standing there ignoring this lady and focused on talking. Finally she grabs the receipt from the lady and lets her pay for her food. There was a couple that just finished eating standing there and I told them to go ahead of me. After they paid and walked off the girl says ain't nobody tipping today, yall trash. Im walking to the register as shes saying this. She had a stank ass attitude with two nose rings in her nose. I stood there for a while waiting for her to acknowledge me. She finally looks me in the face and says one moment then starts packing food for ppl who are leaving. It was so awkward in there. The whole time im saying to myself of you had better service you would get a tip. I was about to tell her but i usually don't talk trash to ppl who handle my food. I really bit my tongue. I knew this experience here was going to be 'special' when we ordered the cheese and eggs meal and was asked did we want cheese in the eggs and the food came out without the bacon. Our server who was really nice kept coming back to our table to ask us what we ordered. Despite all this the order was still wrong ...an order of hash browns was missing the ham and cheese. We were gifted a waffle because an extra one was made...now I can see if the place was crowded but that wasn't the case at all. Waffle houses are usually hits or misses. I was served by Dee, a very friendly woman who worked fast and took care of her guests. In fact, she was free with the relationship advice for a friend of hers who must've come in with her boo. She made it clear that he should take the friend out, to someplace nice, like Olive Garden, and that the friend needed surprising with gifts, like those cellophane-wrapped gift baskets with huge stuffed animals inside. Because "as a fellow Gemini, I know what [my friend] needs." And she needed some pampering. And she needed roses. And she needed to be surprised with nice things. Because that's what a Gemini wants. I tried, I really tried to advocate for that man. But all my education in the world of relationships and psychology in general was of no help whatsoever. Me and bestie eat at Waffle House at least 6 times a week (‍ it's his favorite place) so it's hard to impress us but Candice was our awesome server, very welcoming and attentive and the lady on the grill with the braids was amazing and I'm very picky about who cooks my Waffle House, I like the rockstars. Besties words were "boy she killed this steak " so this will now be our new regular Waffle House. I frequent this Waffle House. I will go ahead and say that this may be one of the best in Clayton county. The service is always professional and fast! I've experienced some sub par customer service at plenty of waffle houses and this one is amazing. The food is always on point! The cooks that they have know what they are doing. Grits are always smooth and perfectly salted and cheeses if you like that. Eggs are always done perfectly! They are ready to accommodate any waffle connoisseur with fidelity. On Jan. 15, 2021,my wife and I stopped for lunch. Took 15 minutes to get waited on and we were the only customers in the restaurant. Lots of people behind the counter. Some in uniform, some not. We were just ignored. When we were finally waited own, we ordered the same thing. Angus burger plate. Asked for the hash browns to be cooked soft. The cook and waitress argued over the orders. Said he couldn't understand. After another 25 minutes, we, finally, got our order. Again, we were the only customers. The burgers were overcooked to the point of being burnt. The hash browns we requested to be soft were cooked hard and crispy. We tried to complain but were ignored. We tried to eat our meals, but they were not eatable. Complained again, finally the cook yelled out he would fix us a burger to go. Forget it! He never wore mask covering his mouth and nose and never changed his gloves. The restaurant was dirty. To add insult to injury, we were short changed when we paid our bill. Not our first bad experience at the restaurant, but we tried to give them another chance. We will never eat there again. We complained to Waffle House, but, to date, have received no response or acknowledgment of our complaint. We travel extensively and eat at a lot of Waffle Houses. Worst service EVER at a Waffle House. Not sure what the girl who took our order was on or if she was just overly tired but nothing was right. The hash browns were ordered with sautéed onions and all that was done was some diced onions thrown in after the fact. When said something about it, both her and the cook thought it was funny. The cook just wanted to sauté a few onions and give them to me on the side. WHAT!!! The raw ones are still in the has browns!!! The other order wasn't even close to what had been ordered. How does one get a Texas toast sandwich out of a hash brown bowl with bacon is my question.. she brought over a hash brown bowl finally and the bacon NEVER showed up.. Took us 4 time to finally get the jelly for The toast... When ask to talk to manager first she had a dumbfounded look then claimed manager wasn't there and was on vacation for the next ten days.. so guess Waffle House just lets whoever do whatever whenever they want.. stay away from this one!!' read more
