We ordered the Hawaiian moco loco and the mochi waffle. I personally like the mochi waffle more than the moco loco. The waffles comes with three syrups. The guava, coconut, and maple. My favorite is the coconut. The loco moco was a bit too greasy and salty for me. If you are a meat lover this is the dish for you. The wait in this place can be pretty long. My only advice for that would be either come early, or have a snack before you get there. Otherwise they have fairly comfortable waiting areas and if you're in a group the time passes pretty quickly. The one thing though is that they wanted our whole group of four to be there before we got seated Even though three of us were there already. I ordered spam and eggs with pancakes. They charge quite a bit if you would like to add cheese on your eggs ($2+), so I just got my scrambled eggs plain they were just as good. I did like that they had a variety of syrups including guava and coconut. I was impressed at how fluffy the pancakes were and very tasty. I'm a sucker for crunchy spam and I had forgot to ask them to do it crunchy at first. They were gracious enough to rectify the situation for me, and I took full responsibility for it. So Eggs 'n Things is one of those places I go to when I'm really craving breakfast food. Simple, no nonsense breakfast. They have a ton of options like breakfast meats and eggs, omelettes, crepes, and of course, pancakes, waffles and french toast with tons of toppings. On this particular occasion, I ordered the Hawaiian Delight because I wanted some fresh fruit. And mannnnn, this was the best fruit in a papaya, better than an acai bowl, kind of dish. Next time I'm probably just going to order two of these because I feel like it's so underrated. They always have a list of running specials for the day, and they had key lime pancakes. I love key lime, so I had to try them. NO SYRUP NEEDED, as they were swimming in the key lime sauce and I have to say the neon green freaked me out, but soooo good if you're a key lime lover. There is a wait time at Eggs 'n Things but in my opinion it is absolutely worth the wait. Especially if you get seated by a window, you are looking across the street at a beautiful Banyon tree(s) with the ocean behind it. It's easy to sign in and you get a text message when your number is up. I would suggest sticking around since they come out to see who is actually there. My recommendation is the Loco Moco and is the only thing I get. It is delicious and a local dish. The portions are generous, the gravy in the Loco Moco dish...I just want to eat it like soup, it's so good! The couple next to us ordered the pancakes which also looked amazing. My friends and I came here after a morning hike so of course we were STARVING. I was excited to dig in but, I received a different omelette than what I ordered and waited about 30 EXTRA MINUTES for a new one!! Outrageous. My friends of course were all already done eating so I just decided to get a takeout box because my mood was ruined. After paying separately, the cashier lady THEN said we didn't pay for one of the omelettes because two were listed when in fact it the wrong order and my actual order were for some reason, on the receipt. We had to explain that I didn't get my original order in the first place and I don't know why they didn't cancel the wrong one. I left the restaurant feeling hungry and unsatisfied. It was our first time at this Eggs 'n Things and my wife and I were a little surprised that we had to put our name on the waiting list at 11:00 AM. Our wait wasn't very long at all so we were promptly seated and were served coffee. I had to ask what kind of coffee they were serving because it was pretty good. Turns out it was Kona Rainforest coffee. I usually don't order breakfast at 11:00 so I was disappointed that their lunch menu starts at 12:00. I ended up ordering the kabli with eggs and upgraded to fried rice all for $16. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict with pancakes, a bargain for just $13.00. My breakfast was really delicious, the kalbi was perfectly cooked with a little char just how I like it. This is the first time I had fried rice with beansprouts and cabbage but it worked. I find it hard to find really good fried rice these days and Eggs 'n Things does it good. The accompanying Kim Chee was also delicious, not too sour. My wife's breakfast was also pretty good although she prefers her hollandaise with a little more lemon to it. It is a great bargain if you are hungry because my wife chose the pancakes to go with her meal and hardly touched it. The service we had was excellent, our coffee and water was constantly being refilled without our asking. I would not hesitate to return for breakfast but would like to try their lunch and dinner menu next time. read more

Just like all the other restaurants in Hawaii you must show your vaccine card or a 48-hour negative covid test. I ordered "meat & eggs," meal. I got turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, and 3 pancakes. You get so much food that you can really share. With the pancakes they give you regular syrup and guava syrup. I've never had guava syrup, but it was really good. I ordered the pineapple mimosa. They give you a small bottle of champagne, a cup of pineapple juice, and a champagne glass to mix the two. I've been trying to take my toddler out to breakfast before work/school 1-2 times a month and this past Friday I decided to try Eggs 'n Things. I had eaten there a couple years ago and had to brave the Sunday morning crowd to get a table, but I was banking on the crowd being less around 7:30 AM on a Friday. And it turns out I way right, although by the time we left a little after 8:00 AM the tables were filling up. Yup you read that correctly, we were in and out of there in a little over 30 minutes - making it the perfect restaurant to take a toddler or to visit for a before-work breakfast. There was a children's menu so I didn't have to waste money paying for an adult portion for my daughter and the Eggs Benedict I ordered for myself was on the high end of the diner-style restaurant spectrum (and believe me... I've had a lot of eggs Benedicts from diners). Right away a waiter asked if I'd prefer plastic utensils for my toddler (yes please!) while a second waitress took our order as soon as I closed the menu. And at the end they reminded me that they had a kama'aina discount so I should show my hawaii license to the cashier (holla! I had no idea!) Maybe not an option if the place was crowded, but I was given a little table in the corner which was perfect to contain my toddler and each table came with syrup, ketchup, shoyu and Tabasco sauce. The one downside was that they no longer serve Vienna sausage although it still says so on the menu, but since we had so many options to choose from, it wasn't a huge deal breaker. read more

We've been going here since they were in Waikiki only and their menu was on wooden boards but it's still just as yummy! Got the most incredibly delicious macadamia nut belgian waffle which was really, truly covered with the most macadamia nuts I've ever seen on a waffle! Ordered it without whipped cream but if you like it they really go crazy with it here. The next table had what I swear must've been a whipped cream mountain 5" tall on their pancakes! My daughter got a really generous serving of pork adobo fried rice which she said was really delicious too. I got a side order of crispy bacon too.
