Great local business. Good food. Friendly staff. Prompt service. This is one of my go to restaurants for breakfast.

Eggs n' Things is an okay spot for a simple breakfast near Ala Moana. We stopped in on a Saturday morning, and after a short wait, were seated near the back. After a mimosa and a Bloody Mary, I received our breakfast orders. My breakfast burrito was actually quite good, served alongside salsa and guacamole. Unfortunately, an order mix up led to her being unable to eat her omelette due to the addition of bacon, but the side order of pancakes were admittedly delicious. Service was a tad slow and sporadic, but overall friendly and apologetic for the mistakes. Maybe not the best breakfast in Honolulu, but a quick spot for a bite to eat if in the area. read more

The restaurant itself was super cute, the staff were friendly and quick, and the breakfast burrito was delicious. You get to pick type of meat and cheese (I got Ham and a pepper jack). We tried this place during a recent trip to Oahu. We see the commercials on TV all the time and it always looks so good. Well we were not disappointed. This place gets really busy so if you can plan ahead, making a reservation through Yelp is your best bet. If you can't make a reservation the next best thing is to get on the waitlist ahead of time. That's what we did. The Yelp app tells you how long the wait is at that time so you can decide whether you can wait or not. Initially our wait time was 70 minutes but we were actually seated after about 30 minutes. Everything on the menu looked good so it was hard to choose. Breakfasts come with rice, potatoes, or pancakes and salsa. The eggs are cooked with butter so they are extra yummy! The portions are very generous and everything tastes fresh. I love eating here when I'm feeling breakfast for dinner. It's literally my "go to" at night. It's nice that they stay open late, so it's easy for me to choose to eat here. Let's start with their food. I've been coming quite often lately, probably at least once a week. I've tried the crab benedict, the bacon, spinach, and cheese omelette, the morning wrap, a side of corn beef hash, and the pancakes. I expected the crab benedict to be really good, but I was slightly disappointed. It was a too salty for my taste. Though, the portion size was fair. The bacon, spinach, and cheese omelette was very thin. It seemed as though there was not enough egg to make it an omelette. It was as thin as a crepe. Although it was tasty, I would definitely suggest "beefing" up your omelette and making it fuller. Other than that, save your money and get something else. What I did like was the morning wrap. I get mine with cheddar and bacon and it does not disappoint! It was so good and also comes with a side of salsa. The size was perfect and I saved the other half for breakfast the next day. The corn beef hash was also good. Definitely a great add on to any dish I'd tour choosing. It wasn't salty and had a little crisp to it, which I enjoyed. The pancakes are sooo ono. I love the guava and coconut syrup that they have readily available at the tables. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water. Other than that, I'll be returning to get more pancakes and morning wraps! read more

Food: 3/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 5/10 Came before the "lunch rush" Ordered Strawberry Crepes and a Loco Moco. The Loco Moco was okay but there was an oddly small amount of rice in it compared to how places here normaly serve. Honestly, Zippy's Loco Moco has more burger, rice, and gravy and was lowkey better tasting. Probably similar price too. The crepes were a bit of a disappointment as a portion of the crepe batter seemed to have separated, causing one section of the crepes to become scrambled eggs. This can happen, it was just a shame it did. The workers were perfect and on the ball however. Great service as always ! I probably wouldn't order the food I got again but it's not the restaurant's fault. I just think I'm looking for a bit more in my meals. read more

First time here for brunch! We did the waitlist on yelp, and we were able to get seated right away when we arrived. If you plan on dining here, highly recommend the waitlist or reservation because tables get filled quickly. We got the Hawaiian Loco Moco and Signature Belgian Waffles with fresh strawberries, nutella, and whipped cream. I usually don't like waffles/pancakes but these waffles were so tasty! I love that I can customize them to meet my taste. I hope I'll be able to visit all of their locations in Hawaii some day!! read more

Eggs 'n things is a good restaurant for breakfast. Their menu has a large selection of basic and creative breakfasts some with a local flair. They are conveniently located right next to Ala Moana shopping center. I stopped here for a breakfast meeting with a friend. Service was fast and efficient. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which comes with three buttermilk pancakes on the side. We also tried one of the crepes. The food was brought out within 5 to 10 minutes and it was very tasty. The eggs Benedict was $14.50 and the crêpe was $15. I will definitely come back and consider some of the other menu options. read more

Brunch in Ala Moana, Honolulu... My friend wasn't able to dine with me yesterday, so she wanted to make it up to me today... Haha! Sweet, huh? I even got to choose the place! I haven't been to Eggs 'N Things in a long time. They're usually crowded because I think they advertise in a Japanese tourist magazine... really! There was some luggage in the retail area as if the tourists were on their way to the airport or hotel! Eggs 'N Things is great for late night eats because they close at midnight on the weekends and 10pm on weekdays. They're conveniently located in the Plaza next to Ala Moana Shopping Center and share the free parking lot with Mitsuwa Marketplace. Our efficient server was Ryan. He really hustled at every table in his half of the restaurant - and filled my water cup without my asking. The amazing ordering system is paperless... like on a small tablet. Very cool! My friend and I shared the fresh strawberry whipped cream waffle (which I won on Instagram) and the Crabcakes Egg Benedict. I didn't find any lumps of crab meat in the Benedict. However, the fresh strawberries on the waffle were a treat! My friend even commented on how the waffle had a perfect crispness on the outside and was still soft on the inside! The location is busy, the service was good, and the food was 8 out of 10 (in my opinion) I had my first visit on a Saturday morning, so breakfast is the meal being reviewed. We arrived and had about a 15 minute wait to be seated. Parking was ample which was a surprise seeing as how the restaurant was very busy. Once seated it took only a few minutes to be greeted my our server with utensils and water. He gave us just enough time to look over the menu and came back to take our order. He was knowledgable of the menu and was able to answer our questions regarding the dishes we wanted. I ordered the eggs benedict with coffee and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito with soda. Food came out quick and was nice and hot! My eggs benedict was delicious. Eggs poached to perfection, English muffin toasted just right, ham just the right flavor of sweet and salty and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and delicious. I would definitely come back again for this dish. Not mention you get a choice of pancakes, rice, or potatoes with your meal. My husband's breakfast burrito came with a choice of meat, bacon, ham, or portuguese sausage and included eggs, potatoe and green onion. He opted for the bacon and omitted the green onion. I thought the burrito was a little too potatoe heavy and didn't have much flavor. About the coffee...yes please! It was hot, strong, and unlimited refills. A definite plus. Had a random day off and got super lucky timing wise. I heard the wait times were crazy, so i signed up on the yelp waitlist when i was 10 minutes away and managed to be seated within 10 minutes of checking in. The waitress was so nice and really made our first time experience a great one. They were super generous with coffee refills and checked in to make sure everything was okay. I was drawn to all the pictures everyone took and finally settled on French Toast with Strawberries & Nutella. I was not disappointed. The French toast was great but the amount of strawberry and nutella were perfect, didn't even need syrup. The waffle from the chicken and waffle was so soft and fluffy. Little bit of a wait this morning but nothing to crazy. Wife and I came here the morning after we got married which was 2014 and not sure why took us so long to come back which was today, but with a two year pandemic I'm going to go with that...lol... Our go to is the Hawaiian style local Moco hers with white rice and mines with fried rice. Always so delicious! We also tried the malasada pancakes with cinnamon and sugar. We came here because pretty much everyone and their momma (tourists and locals) told us that we had to eat here. We were told that people line up at 4/5am to eat here (although I think that may have been in reference to the Waikiki location). This might be best location because there wasn't much of a line. We had about a five-minute (if that) wait to grab a couple of stools at the bar. The food was decent, but it was not out of the world amazing. I honestly didn't see all the hype, but that's just me (perhaps, I was missing something). I will say that the staff was absolutely amazing. We really did not need to wait for anything. Also, our waitress pretty much explained all of the restaurant deals. I went for an omelette with a stack of pancakes and had no major complaints. We were offered a free Bogo menu item from Fivestars. Buy any one entree and get the second one free. We ordered their delicious Fresh Furikake Ahi and Eggs. I ordered the Pancakes as my side dish. All for $15. The wasabi dip was very creamy and whipped. My fresh Furikake Ahi had a macadamia nut sprinkled on top along with the Furikake. When the Ahi is in your mouth it just melts in. Had a take out order, the food tasted like bleach, could not get in touch with a manager as their phone system wasn't working-at first it didn't even ring, then when it did, I dialed the extension for a manager but that said "this extension is not assigned". Had to call a different store to get in touch with that manager and all they did was say that they'll text the other store to tell them to answer the phone. Update: I ended up in the ER. They diagnosed me with acute food poisoning. No response from Eggs N Things. Horrible company. Update 2: they like gaslighting. Wish yelp would let you reply to their replies. I'm not going to engage in this conversation-we told them OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT WE HAD THE FOOD AND WE WANTED TO RETURN IT BUT THE MANAGER ON DUTY LAUGHED AT US AND REFUSED IT. IT WAS NOT US WHO DIDN'T WANT TO BRING THE FOOD BACK. So tell me, just how do you take these accusations seriously when your own manager refused to take the food back and all you refused a refund and offered 20% off-as if we would even consider eating at this place ever again? And I get this gaslighting reply about two weeks later??? ONCE AGAIN, YOUR MANAGER REFUSED WHEN WE WERE GOING TO RETURN THE FOOD. Update 3: they told the BBB that this review was is false and that it is a "low blow". I have the urgent care report that diagnoses it as acute food poisoning. I can't believe the level of unprofessionalism that is happening here. They also are now putting words into our mouths. See attached pic. We never threatened them. The food and service is here is great! I've lived here over a year and every time I come, it's an amazing experience. I typically just get the meat breakfast with eggs & potatoes & either turkey bacon or chicken sausage as I don't eat pork.
