2 Egg Roll Combo Meal Spicy Curry Soup Combo Meal with 1 Egg Roll - Two trays contain egg rolls, rice, and sauces, with a bowl of spicy soup topped with herbs and cheese.

Good eggrolls and good prices. Love that these are baked and not fried. Lots of different options from pork, to shrimp, chicken, beef, veggie, & more. Soup was great, HUGE bowl and good flavor. Great service!!! The owner was so kind. Good hospitality goes a long way. Decent sized space, bright colors, and religious jams playing in the background.

Food warmers - A food display case with heated lamps showcases different prepared dishes in colorful trays at a restaurant counter.

Decent egg rolls and related dishes. The egg rolls are fairly large. Quick counter service. Moderate prices.

Spicy pork and ginger pork - Two baked eggrolls labeled 'pork ginger pork,' a plastic fork and knife, and a cup of soda are arranged on a paper-lined tray at a restaurant.

Saw this place on Man vs Food and we were in the neighborhood so stopped in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu was clearly displayed and reasonably priced. We ordered two eggrolls and one spring roll which was the perfect amount for lunch. Very flavorful and satisfying, yet I didn't feel stuffed when I walked out the door. To cap our meal we shared a cup of the sweet desert tea. Tasted like mango sticky rice! Left very happy that we went a little our way to stop here!

Beef - it was ok. I didn't love it

Was on a road trip and we were going to a store in this strip mall. I was attracted by the man vs food banner that was hanging and decided to give them a try. Got one beef and one chorizo egg roll. Came with some rice as well. Definitely unique and something I had never seen before. Closer to a burrito than your traditional egg roll. I'm open-minded, this was fine for me. Sauce selection was variety-galore. I ended up with something close to sweet and sour. The food was mediocre at best. Dry rice, stale egg rolls with what seemed to be decent ingredients if I am being generous. Well, they were relatively busy, so perhaps I am in a minority here. The restaurant was clean and the staff was happy and friendly, so they have that going for them at least.

Raw and soggy pork egg roll - A person holds a half-eaten pork egg roll filled with meat and vegetables, with a plate of whole egg rolls and dipping sauces in the background.

Got 3 pork and 3 chicken egg rolls to-go. They were so soggy you couldn't even pick them up to eat them. I had to wait to get home so I could use silverware. They were hot and fresh, but still not cooked enough. The pork was still raw on the inside, so they were not safe to eat. It was mostly noodle on the inside with very few veggies or meat. They also smelt more like sauerkraut than egg rolls. The chicken ones were fully cooked, but again were soggy and pretty flavorless. The only good thing about this was the sauce.

A basket containing two baked eggrolls, one with visible filling and the other wrapped, accompanied by small containers of dipping sauce on a wooden table.

The egg rolls are baked and they offer several sauces to dip in. Also tried the Spring Roll. All were very large. Quick service.

Quite a little gem in the doldrums of appleton cuisine! Everything is fresh and I cant get enough of the "15" level hot sauce.

What a find. Totally delicious Hmong eggrolls. The ginger sticky rice is super tasty and filling and the rolls and sauces were great.

Molo Asian BBQ and Hotpot - enjoyed the fresh, pickled condiments and being able to compose my own dips from the sauce bar

Molo Asian BBQ and Hotpot

So glad we did because we found this place instead. We were able to get a customized option for dining that worked for us and our little picky eater. Loved the variety and the meats were flavorful, out quickly, and fresh. Their thai coconut (can't remember name) broth was so good even my son enjoyed it. Everything was clean and well maintained. Overall though the service is what sold us. We eat a lot of kbbq and the service is usually good but our waiter was exceptional. He was attentive, patient and kind. We are so happy we ended up here during our short time in Appleton. If you want kbbq or hotpot in the area, THIS is your spot in my opinion!

Very much enjoyed my visit to Molo, tried both the Korean BBQ and hotpot!…read more - Nice selection of broths (I had Thai broth) - Clean, well organized self-service bars for noodles, vegetables, seafoods, sauces and other condiments to add to the hotpot or sip your BBQ (i forgot to do pictures for the veg/noodle/meats bar) - Friendly helpful human staff - tho I enjoyed being escorted to my table by their bot! (it didnt say much) - you can also have a wonderful range of Boba drinks with your meal, I got a couple of them to go for separate charge, but forgot to take pictures. They were kind of beautiful.

It was mid day on a Tuesday so not too busy but they did have several to go orders and other tables full inside. They're extremely fast getting food out however! We got the Thai iced tea, one chicken egg roll, one pork roll, two stuffed chicken wings (one for each of us), a pork pad Thai that ended up coming out with chicken instead (happy accident), and the chicken Thai pad see ew. I have had far too many egg rolls to admit to a number but the egg rolls here are TRULY THE BEST EGGROLLS IVE EVER HAD. The pork was my favorite of the two we tried but the chicken was just as good. They're perfectly proportional of filling to crispy and flaky exterior. They also come with sweet & sour sauce or spicy and they are AMAZING to mix together. I wish I had a photo to show but we devoured these. The stuffed chicken was DELICIOUS as well. Really not sure how they do these but clearly they are known for these and they are truly the bomb! The pad Thai was accidentally made with chicken but it was still delicious! The plate is much bigger than we thought so my partner only got through maybe half of this before getting a take away box. It was tangier than we expected with no spice but after adding the spicy sauce from the eggrolls it was perfect for his taste. Finally the Thai pad see ew was a welcome dish. The noodles were thicker than I'm used to but again no harm there. It also was a huge dish so maybe half way through got a box. This place is so good. I absolutely recommend stopping for some delicious eats. We saw some pho bowls and they are huge but look amazing. I can't imagine not finding something to like about this place.

I am a first timer to Basil Cafe and wanted to share my experience. I moved here from the Bay Area…read moreand I love any type of Asian food. All my local friends recommended that I try Basil Cafe. And I did and it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in 40 years. I asked a friend if she had tried this cafe and she hadn't. FYI, I called around 7:15 prior to our arrival and asked what time they closed. He said come now since the kitchen closes at 8 and all orders have to be in before then. It was a Friday night, we arrived at the restaurant and were sat immediately. At 7:20ish the restaurant was still busy which we thought was a good sign. Our server greeted us with the menus and walked away. I didn't think anything of it until she returned to take our order. The initial impression was EXTREMELY uninviting and we should have left at that point. Her first words, "you know we close at 8" which we knew and were trying to hurry to be respectful of the chefs. We immediately ordered which was approximately 5 minutes after being sat. She asked if we wanted our food mild or spicy and then walked away. She did bring us water but never refilled until we were almost done with our meals. She even spilled water as she was pouring and not once to she say sorry or clean it up. Our food was delivered promptly by another server who at least had a smile. As we unfolded our napkins to eat, our server dropped the check and requested to flip it over when ready to pay. My guest looked at me in amazement and stated, "Wow we haven't even taken a bite." As we ate our meals, not once did she approach us to ask if we needed anything else or how the food was. I watched her interact with another table and she seemed to attend to their requests. I was in disbelief by the way she handled herself as a server. I just kept thinking, wow I'm actually paying money for this. We were never rude and remained polite even though her service was HORRIBLE. My guest looked at me and said, "I have lived her all my life and have never had this kind of experience at a restaurant." I was so disappointed about my choice of restaurant that I did not even finish my meal. I took maybe 2 bites and was done. Being that I barely touched my meal, most waitress would have asked if it was ok but not our server. "You want that boxed?" I was like "Yes Please" while thinking "hell yes so I can get out of here." We left within 40 minutes of our arrival so the kitchen had barely rung the closing bell. As soon as I got in my car, I immediately texted my friend who raved about your restaurant and advised "F that place, never again, I have never been treated so badly by a server." I did check the restaurant reviews after this and it spoke of the atmosphere, the friendly staff, the food, and the drinks. Well I wish I could have experienced that but no! I contemplated writing this review since it usually goes nowhere so I spoked to my friends who have visited your establishment and those who have not. The friends who have visited were very disappointed and others stated, "they would not be dining there". They all came to the same conclusion to share so if anyone is trying to figure out whether Panda Express or Basil Cafe, the Panda would be my first choice after this. If I could give you a ZERO star I would but 1 star it is since that is my only option. I will say the food was good so thanks to the chef. But I rather dine at a restaurant with crappy food with an exceptional server than the opposite. I did give her a tip even though she did not deserve it. Hopefully she shares her tips with the chef since they did all the work.
