I could survive on the egg rolls from this place. The egg rolls are the best in Columbia!! The rest of the food is pretty solid and you get a lot for the price. Make sure to try the homemade sauces- the mustard will have your eyes watering but it is killer. They offer both eat in and carry out !!

    Shrimp and broccoli

I was recommended to try this resturant off of a FB group. I ordered shrimp and broccoli and fried rice. The broccoli was made just the way I like it and the shrimp was not mushy. I throughly enjoyed the shrimp and broccoli. I gave only 4 stars because the rice was plain. No onion, salt, sprouts , pepper... NOTHING!

    Fried wonton

Went here on a quick lunch the lo mein didn't taste like anything even though I got the house lo mein and the wontons had some kind of minced meat. I asked if they were like crab Rangoon and was told yes but when I bit into it was disappointed. The workers here were very nice though on the upside but the food being that I had been there before and enjoyed it was very substandard this go around

Rice noodle soup, spicy and vegetables only. Yes, technically it is not a rice noodle soup but a vegetable soup. No carb! Yummy

Best Chinese food that we've had in South Carolina. Fast service and very reasonably priced... don't miss out on this!

The worst food I have ever tasted. It was good before they rebuilt the place. It is awful now. It's going in the trash.

Egg roll Chen is by far the best Chinese meal I have had in columbia. The "mamasans beef" is delicious! Good and quick service.

Their noodles have a great texture to them and make their soups absolutely standout from the rest. The shrimp bao buns have great texture and flavor! The staff is friendly and the service is quick! Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!

What's hot - Menu. It's a pretty extensive menu- meats, veggies, tofu, maybe even for vegans. - Service. For ordering food for a family of 6, our order was ready in about 20 minutes. Everything was properly wrapped up. Nothing was missing. When I gave them the name for our order, everything was ready. They're also open during major American holidays, such as Christmas and New Year's, which is very helpful. - Location. Pretty easy to find in a small plaza with other shops. When we went on Christmas Day, all their tables and chairs were pushed to the side, so I'm uncertain whether they're currently doing table service or if it's just take away orders. - Price. Very reasonable, especially given the portions. If you order a quart, versus a pint, it's less than $10, which includes white rice. What's not - Quality. As a child of immigrant parents, who grew up in Silicon Valley, CA, where there is a large community of Chinese immigrants, I can say that this is not authentic Chinese food. It's catered for the local American population. The flavor and seasoning of the food is very generic. For example the difference between my spicy garlic tofu and vegetable delight was only the tofu. All the vegetables between the two dishes were literally the same, including the sauce/taste. With that said, it's not terrible. For Americanized Chinese food, it works. Final Answer Wouldn't be my first choice for quality Chinese food, but it's reliable.
