a takeout container with rice, broccoli, and chicken

Great place for a quick tasty lunch, clean, covid policy in place, fast service,. I would definitely return if I'm on the NE side of town. They have a drive thru for your convivence!

Beef and broccoli (ordered no broccoli) platter

Ordered the crap Rangoon, beef and broccoli platter (no broccoli), and the sweet and sour chicken platter. The crab Rangoon has an okay flavor but a little too sweet. It also has a very thick wrapper and an odd coating. Almost like a flour coating on the inside that leaves that thick coating in your mouth. Also not really a lot of filling. W get them again. The rice was good. No complaints there but I'd like more onion in it to give it a little more flavor. The beef from the beef and broccoli was tender and the sauce was garlicy. The issue was way too much sauce and only a couple of pieces of beef. The chicken from the sweet and sour chicken was good. Not too thick of a coating which I appreciate. The egg roll is huge. I'd like it smaller because it's so much cabbage and it overpowers everything. But it was still good. Total for 2 platters and crab Rangoon was $22. Not bad overall.

I was craving crab rangoons so i stopped here. The service was fast and friendly. They were so hot and fresh. Loved them! Will definitely be back.

I absolutely HATE giving bad reviews....but...I ordered steamed chicken with vegetables the first time, I went and picked up my order without checking the bag (as always). I got to work and there were plenty of vegetables....no chicken! I called and told them and they said they will give me a credit next time. I didn't bother. Mistakes happen. Some time went by and I ordered a Kung Pao Shrimp lunch special and some wonton soup. Soup was delicious. When I opened my container, I saw chicken instead of shrimp! The ticket clearly says shrimp. Attention to detail is critical in the food business, especially since people can have allergies.

Terrible Chinese takeout. Even for Chinese takeout. Really oily soup and fried rice. I couldn't even finish 1/4 of the hot and sour soup.

The rice is nasty. They are using a cheaper rice instead of jasmine and soaking it in oil. Disgusting

Service was quick, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming--especially thanks to the owner, who is absolutely adorable and always greets guests with a big smile. I ordered the unagi rice bowl, and it was amazing. The eel was cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of char--and the sauce had a great balance of sweet and savory. The steamed egg is one of my favorite sides. We also tried the crispy tofu appetizer and the popcorn chicken rice bowl. The tofu was super crispy and flavorful, though the popcorn chicken could use a touch more seasoning. To top it all off, I had a green tea with boba, and the boba was cooked perfectly as always--soft and chewy with just the right texture. Highly recommend JJ's for a cozy lunch with delicious food and friendly service!

You order first and then the food is brought to your table. I liked the causal concept. I ordered chili wontons and a salt and pepper porkchop. The chili wontons were delicious. The salt and pepper porkchop showed up to my table and I immediately thought wait this is not correct. I clarified with the staff member and she told me it was indeed a salt and pepper porkchop. Well a salt and pepper is traditionally deep fried so I wasn't sure what I was looking at. I accepted it and although it was not what I was expecting, it was an incredible meal. I thought they gave too much white rice but the overall presentation was beautiful. The minced pork over the rice and the steamed egg were perfect accompaniments. I ordered a milk tea to go and it was only okay. The boba was cooked too long as they were very soft. Softer than they should be. Otherwise, this was a solid choice to dine in the area.

What's hot - Menu. It's a pretty extensive menu- meats, veggies, tofu, maybe even for vegans. - Service. For ordering food for a family of 6, our order was ready in about 20 minutes. Everything was properly wrapped up. Nothing was missing. When I gave them the name for our order, everything was ready. They're also open during major American holidays, such as Christmas and New Year's, which is very helpful. - Location. Pretty easy to find in a small plaza with other shops. When we went on Christmas Day, all their tables and chairs were pushed to the side, so I'm uncertain whether they're currently doing table service or if it's just take away orders. - Price. Very reasonable, especially given the portions. If you order a quart, versus a pint, it's less than $10, which includes white rice. What's not - Quality. As a child of immigrant parents, who grew up in Silicon Valley, CA, where there is a large community of Chinese immigrants, I can say that this is not authentic Chinese food. It's catered for the local American population. The flavor and seasoning of the food is very generic. For example the difference between my spicy garlic tofu and vegetable delight was only the tofu. All the vegetables between the two dishes were literally the same, including the sauce/taste. With that said, it's not terrible. For Americanized Chinese food, it works. Final Answer Wouldn't be my first choice for quality Chinese food, but it's reliable.

But we were able to get a table fairly quickly. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls, which by far for the highlight of the evening. The sauce is addictive and I could have eaten three orders of these. My friend ordered the spider roll and I ordered the volcano roll and the Palmetto roll. The Palmetto roll had honey on it, which I didn't think about but the sweet mixed with the fish was not my thing. The volcano roll was absolutely delicious but know that it's pretty heavily covered in the mayo and eel sauce so if you don't want a ton of extra calories, you could ask for it on the side. My friend spider roll was super fishy. I'm glad we went, but not sure that it would be worth a trip back. The restaurant was clean and nice, but the bathroom has seen better days and there was blood on the walls so it was just really weird. Luckily went to the restroom at the end of the evening. So it didn't impact my appetite.

We politely went to the bar and said in the most polite way possible that we needed to pay for these reasons, and I still tipped......because I am not a dirt bag. It still took another 10 minutes to pay. I am leaving off the name of the server, because people may need the money, but I am pretty sure that the staff and team know who it is, and the problem can be fixed by servers actually writing down orders, so that mistakes are less common, and staff covering down for others. I will happily update this review if I go back in a year or something and they have these easy, and almost cost neutral solutions implemented.
