The only hole-in-the-wall Chinese place I go to! The owner is wonderful and always remembers my husband and my order!

We were in the area and looking for good Chinese food. I decided to go with the reviews of this place and it stood up to high ratings. I ordered my standard sweet and sour chicken along with chicken and broccoli. We threw in some chicken on a stick and wonton soup. Everything was delicious and we ate it all up. The clerk was very nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center. Very pleasant place to get dinner from. read more

Literally drove 5 minutes up the road and started throwing up the food up. No clue what I ate. I won't be back.

Great place fast inexpensive and good! The young lady that greets you and takes your order makes it a winning place to go I believe her name is Aimee but she just makes you smile with her smile and personality. A great place that's affordable and great tasting. read more

Chens will always be my go to chinese food. Anytime I'm back in Columbia it's the first thing I want. I've tried to find equivalents to their tofu but I never can. As a half vegetarian family and half meat eater family this place is perfect for us. Their sesame tofu is above any other tofu i've tried and is a better price. It's sweet, crispy, chewy and so flavorful. Their lomein is heaping and also very flavorful. One serving of tofu and their vegetable lomein is enough for my family of 5. Their dining room space is typically closed ever since covid. We typically always order it for take out because of this but we had some friends with us so we called and asked if we could eat in. The lady was very nice and accommodating and cleared a space in the closed dining room for us. If I could give them a 10/5 stars I would. read more

Thai gravy is delicious. I had no idea. The fried rice wontons and wings were also better than expected. My one criticism is double check the prices bc ***they don't DOORDASH OR DELIVER**** saw different prices on the website and in store, vastly. Looking forward to eating here again. Good takeout spot read more

General Tso's, sweet and sour chicken , and fried chicken are amazing. Eggrolls and crab Rangoon are delicious also. Everything is always fresh. read more

Complete trash. The Kung Pao chicken should just be called nuts with a ton of vegetables. Now a single piece of chicken in the entire plate. You can't make this shit up. I looked past the fact that they had plastic hanging in the place like they just filmed a scene from Dexter. Don't waste your money on this place. read more

Service was great and food was excellent! I could've used more shrimp but I understand stand prices are up now. I had a lot of juice in the bottom of my bag. Idk why they have plastic everywhere. But it's good food check them out. Decent pricing. read more

Food was terrible.....chicken wings are awful no flavor whatsoever ....the fried rice could not be worse.... I'm so disappointed with this place...do they even taste their food??? read more

Ready in 10 min Food was good portion size good will go again but no delivery must pick up..

Stopped in about 3:00 for an early dinner/late lunch. Super friendly and very clean. I loved that I could see the entire kitchen, including the clean floor. If I lived here, I would eat here again. It is take out only. read more

The lady who took my order and checked me out was very nice and cute! Made sure I got a togo menu, as it was my first time. I got the Chicken and Broccoli, General Tso Tofu, Veggie Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Dumplings, and Egg Roll. Tofu is a bit soggy, Chicken&Broccoli is ok, everything else is great. Nice egg roll, good dumpling sauce, and I love the fried rice. Decently priced for what you get! read more

Alright...gave this spot two chances and ended up sick both times. Thought it was a fluke the first time, but clearly not. We tried the sweet and sour chicken and the orange chicken. Orange chicken was soggy and could really use more orange peel which really gives it the authentic orange flavor. Sweet and sour was fine, but their fried rice is greasy and lacks flavor. I will compliment their crab Rangoon though as they were tasty and creamy. read more

i'm confused with the bad reviews. This is honestly my favorite Chinese place. I haven't had a single thing on the menu that I don't like. We order here at least once every two weeks, if not once a week- the food is very good and consistent, the staff is friendly, and the food always comes out fast. I highly recommend trying this place, and it doesn't matter what sure what you get you will like it. Our favorites though, are the hibachi, the general Tso's, the sesame chicken, and the chicken wings. read more

Solid take out! Been here many times. I have had nothing that disappointed. Would recommend. read more

I was very surprised by the poor quality of the order. Wings were burned and the sauce for the egg foo young was too salty. The fried rice was the best thing. This has been my go to for my Chinese. read more

Great little spot to pick up take out Chinese. Prices are good, quality and quantity good as well.

Great food and friendly service. Is a great value. You can most likely eat twice from a combo, but I'm a pig

Chicken Lo mein and General Tso chicken are delicious. Some of the best ever and definitely the best in the Columbia area. Spring rolls are good too! Large portions if you order the "large". Our go-to Chinese restaurant. The Cayce location prefers cash but will take card, FYI read more

Not great. Fried rice not great. Boneless spare ribs not so good. Chicken wings could be better too. Underwhelmed...

Quick lunch stop. Woman that greeted us was very friendly and efficient. Got us seated quickly and promptly brought us our drinks and to our order. Good came out quickly and tasted great. Love that this place doesn't have buffet. I like cooked to order Chinese food. Overall a nice little Chinese place. Was not amazing was not bad. read more

They do a dam good job! Although the menu looks the same as most places, the quality is well above par.

This is NOT your normal Chinese place. The interior is renovated as of January 2014, and it's quit nice with room for expansion. Why 5 stars? The chicken wings are always perfectly crispy, and tasty. The hot and sour soup is awesome and features some veggies like zucchini that you you don't find in many versions. I order it EVERY time I come in ( which is weekly) The Singapore Chow Mei Fun is AMAZING Their new Spicy Shrimp soup is also good with plenty of LARGE shrimp in it, not those dinky salad shrimp. They now serve Japanese hibachi ( it's cooked in the back though) and my new favorite..,. The BENTO box. This is a traditional lunch in Japan. At Chens you get your choice of one piece of two types of dumplings as an appetizer, entree ( there are about 5-6 choices which include both Japanese hibachi and Chinese food options, some fried rice, and your choice of miso soup ( which is also pretty yummy) or a house salad. A very well rounded meal ... The price? About $8 The staff is always super nice , and if dining in they bring your food to the table on real dishes not styrofoam . So, next time your in town stop by Chens. It's in the bi-lo shopping center next to Murray's . read more

Finding Chinese food is easy. Finding a GOOD Chinese restaurant that is reasonably priced, close by, friendly, and consistent is very difficult. Chen's satisfies all of that criteria. The owner greets everyone with a smile, always reminding them that they are closed Monday, "Come see us Tuesday through Sunday, ok?" The service is fast. The food is some of the best takeout Chinese food I've ever had for the price. There is better out there for a higher price, no different than any other product, but for the price, they are excellent. I am a Lo Mein and rice noodle fan, and Chen has prepared both for me. Both dishes were fantastic. We have ordered their egg rolls, spring rolls, pu pu platter, fried rice, all were excellent. My wife and I have yet to eat in the restaurant, but I watched (as my food was being prepared) as the service staff stayed on top of the customers who did chose to eat in. Truly, my only "complaint" is they do not offer delivery. I think I can live with that, considering the quality of the food. Yep. I can live with that. read more

This little place is close to my house, and I always think about trying it, but usually go for my usual fave, No 1 China, but I saw I could get delivery, so I gave it a shot. I got the General Tso's, and it was alright. Better than some, but not as good as other restaurants I've tried. I felt like it could use more broccoli, and the chicken needed to be a little more crispy. I noticed they have several hibachi options, and also tofu options, so I'm excited about both of those. My wife is a vegetarian so it's not always easy to find stuff for her to eat. She had the veggie Lo Mein, which was okay, a little greasy, but also better than a lot of other Chinese places. We also got some mixed vegetables, which were alright. I think we'll try again. read more

Get the General Tso's chicken w pork fried rice & egg roll. You will not regret it!!!!

I order from Chen's a good bit they are very friendly, always greeting me with smile. Place is very clean. Food is excellent and always hot. I would recommend Chen's to any one that enjoys chinese food. They even have gift cards that you can purchase, and when u do you will get a few extra $'s free on your card. Chen's OP is located in Cayce in the same shopping center that Bi lo's is in so while you are getting a little shopping done order your food, when you have finished your shopping just a few doors down in the same shopping center go pick up your food at Chen's or dine in. You will definitely enjoy your meal! read more

The food is good but this review is about their excellent customer service. My card somehow got ran twice when we ordered food. I alerted the owner two days later and she made a point of calling everyday to check on the refund until the money went back into my account. It was less than $30 so her concern for me getting my money back was really admirable. Definitely would visit again. read more

Ordered the General Tso Chicken with pork fried rice and egg roll. Service was great, food came out hot and it was a lot for the money but the chicken had a lot of breading on it. Also the sauce/gravy was kinda bland. Giving it 4 stars because of the service I received. read more
