It's good to have a good pick up option near your home. Unfortunately, I like Chinese food way more than my wife. This was our third time getting take out from Chen's and it is always good. I have a go-to, which is broccoli and garlic sauce, from my college days as a vegetarian, and Chen's is the best I've had in Columbia. I've had it at other places here in town and it was all stalks. Chen's was an abundance of florets and it was delicious. My wife dances around the menu never knowing what she REALLY likes cause we don't eat it enough. She's had the General Tso's chicken (good), the Bourbon chicken (not my thing at any Chinese place), and last night her childhood favorite Sweet & Sour Chicken. It was awesome. She loved the pork fried rice too. We share the steamed dumplings as an appitizer and they were top knotch. Nice, fast, friendly staff. Truely a blessing in Cayce! read more

Was told this Chinese food was great well mine went straight in the trash. I got sweet and sour chicken. Normally it has a sauce on it but this was fried with all this greasy crust that I took off and hardly no chicken inside. The sauce was in a bowl. It was to come with vegetables which is my favorite and there were no vegetables. The rice was the worse I have ever had. I know my friend got something that was good but have no idea what it was. I cannot say enough good things about this lovely little restaurant. I found it on Yelp and thought it looked good from the pictures so we drove from Columbia to Cayce to try it. We were very, very impressed! The dining area is very nice, and we were the only ones eating in on a Friday evening, although there were many people coming in to get take-out. Our waitress was so cute and sweet, and kept coming back to talk to us. Another nice lady came over and introduced herself (possibly the owner). I like how they offer a lot of things that other Chinese restaurants do not have. We ordered the dumplings, which were very good! The entrees were delicious as well and were plated very nicely. Very good food. It is the first Chinese restaurant I have been to which makes their sweet and sour chicken with mostly chicken (white meat) and a small amount of breading. Plus it was not greasy. Usually at other Chinese restaurants it is all breading and you have to search for the chicken. My husband got egg foo young. Very tasty, and they do not skimp on ingredients. It would be nice if they had duck sauce, not in packages, to dip those crispy noodles in. We were traveling back to Florida from North Carolina looking for a restaurant which was close to I-26 and also had quick service. Needed an eggroll fix after my volleyball game, and was greeted as soon as I came in and the lady who worked at the register was genuinely friendly and very sweet. It wasn't too crowded so I wondered if it would be good, but after only about 10 minutes of waiting, I found out. I loved the eggroll and the bourbon chicken, though very tangy, was quite good. Thank heavens! We had been suffering the wrath of another Chinese place in town. Everything we ordered from here was delicious and tasted like individual dishes instead of tasting like everything was cooked in the same pan. Singapore mei fun was the best!!! Does not look like anything special from the entrance, but it has a pleasant seating area and the dishes we tried were great. Run by a very sweet family. The best thing was the "string bean" dish, with a delicious sauce. It was made with very fresh green string beans. We also tried "chicken broccoli," which was really good. I also tried "Szechwan chicken" which was pretty good. I asked for extra spicy, but it wasn't really very hot, in fact the sauce was a little sweet so it was not my favorite dish. What other reviewers say about the food not being greasy like the average Chinese place is true. I'll definitely return to try other dishes. read more

This is basic "what Americans call Chinese" fare, but done really, really well. Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. I've only been a few times, but if they keep up the good work, I'll be back again again. The bourbon chicken is not something I'm used to seeing, but I can highly recommend it. Just the right savory sweet to make it delicious. The General Tso's chicken had an nice crispness that I don't usually find at other restaurants. The beef and broccoli was super fresh and tasty. I'm used to soggy veggies that have been cooked too much, but the broccoli was very fresh and perfectly cooked. They don't overdo the sauces, but it's enough.
