Really cute bubble tea place with plenty of options. Fast service and the tea was great. I got the Pineapple Peach.

Boba! Milk tea!! Yay! I had the brown sugar milk tea and tasted the Thai iced tea....both with boba. There are a bunch of yummy desserts on the menu and I'm planning on going back to try the Matcha Tiramisu!! Service is fast and friendly. Use the kiosk or place an order with real people.

I love this bubble tea place! Service is quick and ordering is easy. The place is cute and clean with a good deal of seating. This was the first place I ever tried ube, so delicious! They also have a tasty cheesy foam on some of the bubble teas. I am definitely coming back to try out more of the drinks on the menu and some of their other desserts like matcha cheesecake.

This is a nice hangout spot and the tea is one of the better ones we have found in this region, but I ultimately don't think I can justify the sticker price (almost $8 including tax), given the boba tea options in the area at lower (little over $5 including tax) prices. What is appealing is the bright and cozy vibes with several different seating options, and the gentleman who appeared to be the owner was very friendly and helpful. From observation, the costumers that use the kiosk to place orders vs at the counter were about the same, although we chose the latter because what we want usually isn't available on a kiosk, and it wasn't. There are menu boards on the wall behind the kitchen and on the glass barrier between the kitchen and seating area, and we got one Jasmine green and one tie guan yin oolong. There was some back and forth because we can rarely get the sweetness and ice level perfect the first time in a new shop, but once we got both at a sweet spot, their tea was acceptable, especially the oolong. Their boba was also decent although I couldn't tell whether at least some of it was unflavoured. They have their own parking which is a bonus, and I was glad they didn't max up the volume for the music. All in all a good experience, but the considering we only ever get plain tea without the usual fanciness and pay less at other ships, I'm not sure if Eggcellent around be at the top of my list for my next trip to a boba tea shop.

Great atmosphere, soft music, friendly staff, and tasty treats. Eggcellent time here! Comfy seats, tantalizing smells, and I get to practice my mandarin skills. I ordered typing in Pinyin which was a treat for the staff because they didn't even know that was possible. Definitely foreshadowed the meal, because I typed 好吃 (delicious) and everything was in fact DELICIOUS! Creamy cheese tarts fresh out of the oven = melty gooey goodness, crisp crunchy crust, and a happy customer :) 我一会见!

Amazing boba! Its a little more on the pricey side, but its a good proportion and tastes fantastic!! The service was incredibly quick and the staff was very friendly. Even the environment was really welcoming and cozy. This spot definitely gets an A+

Capital region's first authentic boba shop!! Very creative and kawaii aesthetics in the cafe. I first tried Eggcellent when it was a pop up at crossgates mall in 2022. A year later, Eggcellent opened their brick and mortar outside of crossgates mall on Western Ave. there's an order kiosk right as you walk into the shop, although the kiosk had some errors. It showed all cheese tart flavors are available whereas only a few flavors were. The kiosks also charge a small fee for using it. I'd recommend going straight to the front to order with a bobarista. Service was good. We ordered original cheese tarts on the kiosk but it was unavailable. Staff were able to cancel the cheese tart order for us and provide a refund with 2-3 business days. The interior had a really vibrant and cute vibes to it. Walls decorated with kawaii drawings and neon signs. It's definitely insta-worthy café to take pix. WHAT I ORDERED Green tea w cream cheese topping Peach oolong tea w cream cheese topping 10/10 would return for their drinks!

The aesthetic, the taste, the study space; definitely glad that I stopped by this place after going to Crossgates Mall! Some of the pics here are older, from when they had a kiosk in the mall, but it looks like they've moved to a more permanent location on Western. I got a creme brulee milk tea at 50% sweetness. The tea itself was actually really good with just the right amount of team, milk and sweetness, and I loved that they actually scorched the top of the creme brulee foam! But even though I love creaminess in my drinks, the creme brulee was almost TOO thick and made my milk tea taste like a milkshake (which is probably not the worst thing to have in the world LOL). I went on a Saturday and I saw people studying, hanging out, etc; all in all really great vibes and drinks, what more could you ask for?

Officially mindblown. Our family made the unfortunate decision of coming to the mall on black friday, forgetting it was black friday and I had resigned myself to an afternoon of walking around with deadened eyes. Then, we saw it. A golden beacon of iridescent cheese tart and tapioca. The whole vibe- menu, branding, even the delectable tea smell standing next to the stand- transported me right back to China. They had drinks only real ones would know-- taro latte with real taro?? AND non dairy options? If you grew up around the capital region like I unfortunately did, you'd know how rare it is to find a legitimate bubble tea establishment around here. We ordered the eggcellent milk tea (as a baseline marker, of course) and the taro latte with oat milk. We ordered both with 30% sweetness and true to our ask, the drinks were perfectly semi sweet. The taro especially was delectable- perfectly smooth and full of beautiful root-y taro flavor. As someone who has made boba sampling a tertiary mission in life, I can say this boba is definitely the best in the capital region. It's on par with better boba shops in NYC and mid tier in China.

Interesting idea here in Albany. The Oreo drink was different--it took a couple of sips and some shaking to be able to taste anything but tea and flavorless boba. Once it was mixed it was tasty. Not sure I'd return for the $6 drink though. Cute heart stoppers.

Always something. The other night, the weather was warm. My friend and I were out for a drive. We pulled into Kurver Kreme. What a nice experience! The stand is well lit. There were dozens of vehicles in the large parking lot. It looked like a tailgate. Some customers were sitting in the back of their hatchbacks taking in the scene and enjoying the warm weather. There were no lines. Many customers were just hanging out after finishing their ice creams. Some were lost in conversation. Others were busy "people watching" as a wide variety of vehicles continued to pull into the parking lot. The stand looks to be mid-century and appropriately old R&B music and 60s Rock classics blared from the speaker system. Most of the ice cream is soft serve. I ordered a small chocolate in a cup. It was good. My friend ordered a pomegranate and mango Dole whip twist, which is sort of like sherbet. It was both pretty and tasty. Elaina was our server. She was friendly and helpful. She filled our orders quickly. We had a fun time. I'm glad we stopped.

A small cone or dish is 3 scoops, currently at $5.25, tax included. It's cash only, but there's an ATM several feet to the right of the ordering counter. I got 2 scoops of peanut butter ice cream topped with a scoop of vanilla. The vanilla had some very small ice crystals in it but was otherwise fine. I really love their peanut butter ice cream. It's creamy with the peanut butter flavor but not overwhelming. The cone does seem to be a little small for all that ice cream, so don't dilly-dally too much eating it in warm weather. Since some other parlors near me have closed, Scoups has become by default the closest ice cream spot to me that makes their own hard ice cream. This is not a bad thing. It's also not bad that it's not too far away from Wolf Road, and it becomes a convenient spot for dessert after dinner nearby.
