Kung Pao Chicken Lunch, excellent very Chicken with Fresh Mushroom

The food and service was very good. The ingredients were very fresh, the meal arrived quickly as well. (Yelp put in CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM, it's not!) thanks Yelp.

Wanted to venture out and support a local business. Orderd from Egg Roll King East. Got the food within 12 mins. That worried us.... ordered fried rice as you can see below. I called and asked what this was. The mean rude lady said it's fried rice but no veggies or eggs because I didn't order that lol. She very rudely told me for 6.25 more I could add the eggs and veggies. But yet up charged for "fried rice". Food was soooo bland. Called and spoke to the lady she told us to bring her back the food. Extremely rude and again and hung on me. I highly recommend spice 8. Much better food and customer service.

I like this little restaurant, but everything here is different. Its not at all what I expected. The egg rolls are larger than average, and they are tasty. I had the Pad Thai (pud thai according to the menu), it was good, filled with shrimp and chicken, and tasted nothing like pad thai. The mongolian beef was a little salty, but good. The service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant could use a bit of cleaning. The walks looked more stained than unclean, but either way...not great.

SPACE: I feel like the space just isn't cohesive. It's large, which is great if you're stopping in with a group. There's some modern touches, but other elements feel a bit dated. Nothing feels intentional. SERVICE: Our server stopped by a couple times to check on us an ensure our glasses were full. Not bad service, but nothing super memorable either. SIPS: They offer the usual staples of Asian restaurants including boba, Thai tea, Sapporo, and sake. I chose a soda while my husband opted for a Sapporo. Nothing to write home about here. SUSTENANCE: We kicked off out meal with an order of the crab cheese wontons, because yum! For the main event we chose Manhattan, Colorado, Osaka, and Miami rolls. With spicy crabmeat inside and topped with avocado, tuna, and salmon - I just loved the simplicity of the Manhattan roll. Sometimes you need something fried! If that's the case then you should check out the Colorado roll: salmon, avocado, cream cheese, seared topped with chopped scallop, and spicy mayo sauce. Honestly they were all quite tasty! Needless to say after our sushi feast we left feeling satisfied and needing a nap! Ha! We frequently make our way to southeast Aurora, and I can say we'd give Bangkok Tokyo another visit.

They're recently redid their sitting area to be more of a restaurant where they take your order and bring the food to you vs you ordering at the counter and then they bring it out. Similar to other reviewers, I was not informed they were behind (there were maybe 5 others in the restaurant total) nor told there was an excessive wait for order at the counter style food. -food. 3/5 stars for the food. It was good, but overpriced ($18 for a bowl of noodles?) and enough so that I wouldn't return without some kind of push. A true hidden gem - do not miss this place!…read more This Vietnamese restaurant is one of those spots you hope stays a local secret forever, but it's just too good not to share. The food, portions, flavors, and overall experience are absolutely outstanding. First - you cannot leave without trying the homemade ginger ale. I have no idea what magic they put into it, but it is truly out of this world. It's unique, refreshing, and easily one of the most memorable drinks I've had at a restaurant. The pho is consistently delicious - packed with incredible flavor. The sesame chicken is another standout, but honestly, the curries are where this place really shines. My friend said the lamb curry was one of the best things he has ever eaten, and I completely understand why. The curries come out piping hot and overflowing- literally. The atmosphere is just as special as the food. The inside has such a great vibe - cozy, welcoming, and full of character. They also have the cutest little patio that feels like a hidden oasis with all the greenery and homey touches. The management and staff are phenomenal. They are always friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about your experience. They constantly check in and somehow always seem to surprise you with something extra. You can tell this place is run by people who truly love what they do. We've done both takeout and dine-in, and the quality never changes. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. They also have great vegan options, so there really is something for everyone. They are connected with the same ownership/management as Golden Bánh Mì next door, which is also incredible - clearly there is a passion for creating amazing food and experiences.

However, the staff was extremely accommodating and did a great job making sure everyone was taken care of. Even though the restaurant was busy and our group was much larger than the average party, they still provided great service and were very patient with us. I really appreciated how much effort they put into making the experience enjoyable for everyone. The food was also very tasty. I ordered the sesame chicken, and it had the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming, and the chicken had a really good crunch to it. It was exactly what I was hoping for and definitely one of the highlights of my meal. Everything else that I tried was enjoyable as well, and overall, I was impressed with the quality of the food. My biggest complaint was more about the layout of the restaurant than the food or service. Because we had such a large group, there really weren't many spaces available that could accommodate everyone together. We ended up having to sit at five separate tables, which was a little inconvenient when we were trying to celebrate a birthday as a group. I completely understand that the staff was working with the space they had, and I really appreciate that they did everything they could to accommodate us. It just would have been nice if there were a larger seating area where big parties could sit together. I think a remodel or some type of redesign of the dining area could really benefit the restaurant, especially if they frequently have larger parties. Creating a designated space for bigger groups would make the experience much more convenient and would allow families and large groups to actually sit together and enjoy their meals. Overall, though, we had a great experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the food was delicious, and they did a great job handling our large group despite how busy they were. The seating situation was definitely the only downside, and I think that could be improved with a little more space or a remodel. I would still come back, especially for the food and the excellent service!

Fried rice was typical, egg fried rice, no veggies. The veggie egg rolls didn't wow me until I had it with both sauces: I believe sweet and sour with some Chinese mustard. Thai iced tea had perfect flavor, ice to drink ratio & I wish I got more than one because it was difficult to pace myself. Overall, if I ended up in Denver again with a long layover this is what I'd want. Probably skip the fried rice for regular steamed rice and order x2 drinks. $31.20 meal cost $15.24 for fees + tip

Good lil mom n' pops Chinese restaurant in Aurora…read more.. Stopped in after a long trail day... "Vintage" looking place (definitely needs a facelift). The restaurant itself is presumably a small family owned joint, but has plenty of seating. Surprisingly, they were not busy at all for a Friday night... No problem, we got immediately seated and waited on. The lady running the place was super friendly and funny... Jokes for days, and the strong Chinese accent made it even funnier. Our food came out quick, enormous portions (way too much to eat in one setting), and was respectable Americanized Chinese food... Not the best I've had, but still good. $50 for dinner / 2 people, but they give you enough for 4 people, so I thought it was really well priced. Overall, good pick on our part... I'll definitely come back again when in town for work.
