Friendly and warm service, coffee was served in glass mugs, felt like home :) We ordered the trout hash and the onion+mushroom hash. Both were unique and delicious! Served with warm walnut bread, just delightful! Highly recommend a stopover if driving through or even stopping for a hike at the nearby falls.

(they do animal protein as well) The cafe's healthy offerings of such are the main reason we go there regularly. We had a fantastic experience! As a team, Anna and Finley prepared a breakfast for us that accommodated for my food allergies. We had a modified veggie bowl, a pancake platter, and a couple of sides we paid for. We would not ask for this during a busy time, but it was early. We also had great coffee and a well prepared smoothie. Anna worked with us on the order and recorded everything accurately. Finley created the most artistic, beautiful, and possibly most healthy breakfast I've had in Hood River. I could not be any happier with the presentation, flavor, and value of the breakfast that they prepared for us. Sit at one of the indoors outdoors tables and the bring your lunch to you. I had the Italian which has a very small spoonful of pesto on it. He had the BLT that was swimming in mayo! Somewhere in between of beans th sandwiches would be good. Some lettuce and tomato on the Italian would be good also. They are large sandwiches though and we ended up taking half of each home for dinner.

They also have their summer specials menu which had two coffee options, a blended lemonade, and a tea. I opted to try their Summer Send Tea which has a coconut cold foam over mango green tea. It looks like a cup of milk but it was actually quite refreshing as a cold tea latte! The coconut cold foam was unique but definitely gave the island vibe over the fruity tea.

This is the only place in town serving organic eggs; they have now espresso machine and using FairTraded Organic coffee - I think the local coffee roaster Pacific Rim supplies them. Really good! This is the only place in town (I know I am local) with such a extensive menu - pages and pages - breakfast and lunch - everyone will find something good - and specials every week! You can't go wrong with this place; be aware - super busy on the weekends - mostly locals with their kids (nice kids menu). Try to get early but the wait times aren't bad - 15 minutes the max. Try omelets - they say "made with love" and this is so true. Also, if you like skillets - this one is not on the menu, but ask for Greg's Skillet (one of the owners) - ham steak, mushrooms and chives over hash browns or red potatoes with a couple of eggs on top or scrambled... I just had this one today! And get yourself a pancake - they don't make them from instant powder like others - all from scratch! read more

This breakfast place was picked by my fiancé on our first morning in Hood River. Parking is a little complicated!!! When you arrive, drive up slow so you can grab either 1 of the 4 parking spots in front, otherwise you will need to park across the street or behind in the neighborhood. This place was VERY clean and quant. The waitress wasn't the friendliest nor the worst either. The food was a good basic breakfast. It's always nice to go out and just have some traditional eggs, bacon and toast. This place will give you exactly that! The view was amazing out the window. Food was terrible! Burned eggs, packaged gravy. Bacon was dropped in deep fryer. My dad ordered sausage and eggs, waitress brought the entire tables food out and then informed him they were out of sausage. Auto gratuity , which was fine, however they counted a three year old to make the six, but didn't give us a child's menu. If they tell you to sit in the heated patio, fair warning it's not heated. Waitress never returned after food was delivered. Honestly choose this restaurant by the reviews, I don't think this was just an off day, I think it's regular business. read more

Had a chance to visit Egg River Cafe again - last time I was there it was called Egg Harbor Cafe; great food, great service, very nice decor. Busy Sunday breakfast with over 20 people waiting outside (was told all locals come here and don't mind waiting - gives you an idea how good it is) Got my Florentine benedicts in less than 10 minutes. Perfect poached eggs and the hollandaise sauce number 1! You can taste the difference - it wasn't made from the powder. I will be coming here again and again. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe this place. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and every single bite was out of this world. The chicken & waffles were absolutely unreal, the breakfast potatoes were perfectly cooked, and even the coffee was fantastic. My husband said his breakfast was straight fire, and my mother-in-law couldn't stop talking about how amazing everything was. The portions are huge, so come hungry! My husband and I live in HR and we eat at Egg River Cafe at least once a week. We enjoy taking family and friends to our favorite breakfast in town. They have the best Eggs Bene ever, and we love the apple walnut pancakes too!!! We are always offered organic eggs and coffee, and everything is wonderful and fresh. If you're in Hood River, Egg River is an absolute must-stop for a delightful breakfast experience. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up going there twice during our visit. The Short Rib Hash and the Chile Relleno Tacos were both fantastic choices. However, the real star was the special Coconut Empanada French Toast with strawberries and huckleberry jam. Not what it used to be. Terrible service and horrible food. I went there with my five year old. It took forever for them to take our order and then after we received our food- no one checked in with us, ever. We were seated outside on the patio. Eventually I walked inside to pay. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!

They have a few TVs inside, included a big screen TV that was playing the Sunday Night Football game. This would be a great spot to watch a sports game while grabbing a bite to eat or a beer/cider.
