Your Texas Patio - Beatiful project in memorial!

Your Texas Patio

Spring Branch

From top to bottom, these guys are amazing…read more I'd received a pretty obnoxious quote for a covered patio and kitchen so did a little bit of price shopping. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

Reach out to "Your Texas Patio" and set an appointment got an automated message with a reminder on…read morethe day of the appointment. The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. They stated that they had to go out of town and I would get the bid when they returned. So I received the bid 7 days after my appointment and 5 days after all the other bids. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.

Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism…read more This was my experience with Groundworks Foundation Consultation. Beau Roper arrived at our property on time, introduced himself politely, and gave us a quick overview of what to expect -- how long things would take and when we'd get the report back. We walked the property together so I could point out any issues and he could ask questions. He then got to work, explaining that the inspection would take about an hour to an hour and a half since he needed to be thorough and photograph everything on the property. We ran some errands and came back just as he was finishing up. He walked us through everything he'd done and made sure my wife felt comfortable with the findings before leaving the property clean and orderly. Moving forward, Groundworks kept us updated on the status of the report and what to expect next. Everything arrived exactly on time. I can't thank them enough -- this was an exceptional experience compared to other contractors I've dealt with. Groundworks provided a very thorough report, complete with the licensed engineer's information, which made a real difference. Quick note for anyone in Texas: there's no state license or requirement to be a foundation contractor here -- all you need is a shovel. It's a pretty wide-open, unregulated space. That's what made Groundworks' transparency stand out even more. As it turned out, our house didn't need any foundation work, so we don't know firsthand how they'd handle an actual repair. But if we ever do need one, it'll be with Groundworks -- because of how Beau Roper handled everything, start to finish.

I used Leveled Concrete (Groundwork) in Jan 2026 for my driveway. I would not recommend them since…read morein less than 8 months the driveway has become uneven with one slab lifting up. The representative from Leveled Concrete said it was likely soil settlement and warranty claim would not be approved. I'll ask them to come out again and give me a written statement about why they think the problem is due to soil settlement rather than workmanship. Although they supposedly warrant their work for several years, I wonder whether they actually will honor the warranty.
