I am really baffled and frustrated by my experience. I reached out via email and Mr. Tony called me right away to discuss my project I was requesting a bid for. He took the time to ask questions and educate me about concrete in general and my situation specifically. We arranged for him to go out on the following Monday to bid the job. But I never heard from him again. There was a freeze and schools and roads were closed that day, so the next day when I texted back if he could let me know when we would be rescheduling. Then nothing. It is now end of day Friday and no return contact, no bid, just ghosting or some serious problem. It is a real shame because based on the other reviews, reported superior concrete mix used, local small business, I had really wanted AB Concrete to do the job. But now I have wasted a week and really don't see an explanation that would make me want to still do business with them. read more

I owe my neighbor for finding AB Concrete (Anthony Burkhalter). She did her homework finding Tony, but her job was really not economical as it was too small, but I needed to have my driveway and walkway redone. My original drive and walkways were done in 1970 and had no rebar and thus were cracked and heaving. Tony responded to my call quickly and arranged to come look at the job and gave me a bid on the spot. I told him that he should contact my neighbor back about her small job and piggyback on my job so it could be more economical for her. Tony told me exactly how they would do the job, how long it would take, and all the details on the project. I signed the contract and we set up an estimated date to start, depending on any weather delays. Tony was able to include my neighbor's job with mine and reduce his original bid for their job. Both were scheduled concurrently. Tony kept me updated on the start time and said his crew would be there at 7:30 AM and they showed at 7:15 AM, this was every day. The crew took care during the whole project, protecting existing structures, plants, etc. to protect from damage and concrete overspray. Unfortunately, despite all the efforts, during use of a cut-off saw, a small piece of material struck my door glass and broke. Tony took responsibility and reimbursed for the damage before the job was completed. No other issues or damage happened during the work. AB Concrete is a top tier concrete contractor. Tony has an awesome crew and Tony himself is present during the work and is working alongside of his workers. After the concrete was poured and cured for a day, AB Concrete came back, removing the form boards, cleaning up the work area; picking up rocks, tape, board chips, power washing the concrete and street area, putting back disturbed landscaping. Tony's communication during the whole process was outstanding, constantly checking to make sure I was happy with work and explaining in detail what they would be doing and checking if I had questions or concerns. AB Concrete goes the extra mile, doing small things that add value like cleaning the expansion joints so they look nice, picking up the smallest stuff in the work area, power washing the street in front of where they worked. My neighbors noticed the quality of the work done and I have referred at least 3 neighbors to AB Concrete before the job was completed! This is the testament to quality. I hired AB concrete to pour a concrete slab for me and I am very pleased. Tony (Company Owner) arrived on time to quote. He came in the lowest cost of 3 companies to quote, yet was also the only company that would do the job properly. Tony was present during the entire job and was part of the crew working. Tony brought to my attention a minor with the concrete they were pouring that I would never have even noticed, and fixed it. They left my yard a mess. Concrete chunks had to be cleaned up by my landscaper. A week later the slab they poured was cracked. I called multiple times and Tony refuses to answer. They also did a "Complimentary" patch job at the front of my home by the garage....needless to say I got what I paid for. read more

Enjoyed the entire process from the quote to the final job. Tony is up front and was one of the few to provide a quote when I provided the requirements for a patio and dimensions unlike others who wanted to 'view the property' (why?!) or meet with a specialist. From there Tony set expectations and gave a fair price for the job. He showed up on time as expected, did thorough and good work, and left me with a great looking, strong patio. Arrived and quickly setup, he fulfilled the job and all my expectations including protecting the yard with plywood and informing me of the cure times and process. One patio section could have gotten by with lesser-strength concrete but Tony upgraded that section to the same standard for the price. Nothing but positives for the entire process from the quote to the finished product. AB doesn't have many reviews here but for one of my few reviews I'd gladly give Tony and AB a 5 star review. read more

Tony replace our cracked and broken 30+ year old patio, finishing the project this week. Until he brought out another finisher on pour day, Tony did all the work himself. There was none of this dropping a couple guys off in the morning and then leaving the site. This guy knows his concrete !! Pays a lot of attention to detail, and took great pains to make sure everything was just right. Did an excellent job at a fair price. Communicated with us daily from demo of the old patio through finishing of the new one. He completed the job on the agreed upon date, even though he had to work on Sunday to get it done as promised. I had a patio put in and part of my driveway replaced. The contractor did an exellent job and I am very pleased with it. AB Concrete gave excellent customer service. The job was started and completed within the time frame given. I was not able to be home during the day while the work was being done and the owner took and texted me pictures throughout the day so I could see the progress as the job was being done.
