    Do they repair glasses?

Yes, I am a current customer of theirs since they carry my specific brand. I turned it in for repairs, and they got it done in 4 days - including weekend days. They are pricey, but again, they have the brands. Usually, the repair technician starts…

We took him to Southwest Orlando Eye Care and Dr. Marx and Dr. Nevada, along with their team, were awesome. They prescribed several eye drops, eye shield, and suggested some preventative care. We had to make 4 different visits (all worth the trips) while in Orlando so they could monitor the eye and ensure it did not get worse and was healing properly. They were very thorough and communicated with our player's eye doctor back in KY. If you you are in Orlando, and have an eye issue (which I hope you don't), I would highly recommend Dr. Marx and Dr. Nevada and their team at Southwest Orlando Eye Care! 5 !

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at Southwest Orlando Eye Care…read more Before my appointment, I completed all required paperwork and provided my insurance information in advance. Yet when I arrived, they couldn't find my insurance in their system. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they eventually located it -- something that should have been handled before I walked in the door. It only got worse from there. Once they realized I needed a full eye evaluation and assessment of my scleral lenses, they informed me I had been scheduled with the wrong doctor. My options were to either wait another hour or reschedule entirely. Since I had already driven an hour each way, I agreed to wait. Then I was told the doctor only spends 20 minutes per patient -- and that if I actually needed scleral lens fitting or proper evaluation, I would have to come back on another day. At that point it became very clear: their priority was protecting the doctor's schedule, not providing patient-centered care. There was zero ownership of the scheduling mistake, zero attempt to accommodate the situation meaningfully, and no concern for the fact that I had invested two hours of driving time. Healthcare is supposed to be about patients. Instead, I felt like an inconvenience to their calendar. This was a complete waste of my time. If you value efficiency, professionalism, and being treated like a patient rather than a scheduling problem, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The entire staff consistently goes above and beyond to make me feel welcomed, comfortable, respected, and cared for. Shelby, the manager, is truly the definition of compassion and empathy. The kindness she shows patients is something you simply cannot teach--it comes from the heart. And what can I say about Dr. Guzak? He is truly one of one. He is the epitome of kindness, generosity, professionalism, and genuine compassion. He is incredibly approachable, takes the time to listen, and makes you feel like you are more than just another patient on the schedule. As someone living with a disability and using a wheelchair, finding medical professionals and offices where you truly feel safe, understood, respected, and accommodated can sometimes be difficult. Orlando Eye Associates has always been that place for me. Every time I come for an appointment, I roll through the front door in my wheelchair, but by the end of my appointment, they make me feel like I could run out the front door. That is the kind of positive impact this team has on me. I actually look forward to my appointments because I know I am walking--or in my case, rolling--into a place where people genuinely care about me. Thank you, Dr. Guzak, Shelby, and the entire Orlando Eye Associates team for more than 15 years of outstanding care. You have created something very special here, and I am incredibly grateful to be one of your patients. Five stars simply aren't enough.

Today, I decided to give it another try, but before I spend my hard-earned money, I want to ask a simple question: Do they do dry eye tests? The doctor asked me to do one to see if I have Sjögren's syndrome, and that's one of the tests I need to take. Well, the snobby optical employee said they are not going to take either of my insurances, my eye or medical, and it's going to cost me out of pocket. I asked, "Okay, so how much?" She said, "Sit down and wait for the doctor to come out so you can ask her." So I decided to wait. Finally, she came out; they decided to have a Sunday brunch chat instead of answering my simple question. Then the doctor walked away. Mind you, other people came in for their appointments, and the same snobby employee was super friendly with them, but to me, she wanted to have an attitude. I followed my instincts and left. I know when I am not welcome, and every time I come to this place, I feel burned. This is my last chance with this place. I can't spend over $1,000 and be treated like I'm getting my yearly exam and glasses for free.

I wasn't liking any of the frames a few months ago at VisionWorks, so I decided to see what LensCrafters had. LensCrafters, in my opinion, has a lot more versatility and more brands (especially couture) than VisionWorks. I found a lovely pair of pink Burberry glasses and Stephanie worked with me and actually got the price down with discounts to what I would have paid out of pocket using my insurance at VisionWorks. I wish I had known years ago that LensCrafters competed so well with other places because I would have been buying them here all along! Stephanie was great; very friendly! I had my glasses in a week and I was so pleased! They barely needed adjusting at all. I'll be back here again in the fall of this year to get a new pair - hoping they have the blue Burberry frames I took pics of and put here on Yelp cause I'm really feeling those!
