I don't know why I keep giving this place second chances. Is it something about the optical employee and their snobby attitude, or the incompetent doctor who only wants to sell me disposable contacts when I want yearly wear? But I digress. Today, I decided to give it another try, but before I spend my hard-earned money, I want to ask a simple question: Do they do dry eye tests? The doctor asked me to do one to see if I have Sjögren's syndrome, and that's one of the tests I need to take. Well, the snobby optical employee said they are not going to take either of my insurances, my eye or medical, and it's going to cost me out of pocket. I asked, "Okay, so how much?" She said, "Sit down and wait for the doctor to come out so you can ask her." So I decided to wait. Finally, she came out; they decided to have a Sunday brunch chat instead of answering my simple question. Then the doctor walked away. Mind you, other people came in for their appointments, and the same snobby employee was super friendly with them, but to me, she wanted to have an attitude. I followed my instincts and left. I know when I am not welcome, and every time I come to this place, I feel burned. This is my last chance with this place. I can't spend over $1,000 and be treated like I'm getting my yearly exam and glasses for free. read more

This is the second exam I've had here at this location and I have nothing but good things to say about the doctor and the employees here. Today, I had an appointment with the independent optometrist Dr.Linda John-Finn. She is absolutely amazing and very personable! She's the best eye doctor I've ever had! She's extremely knowledgeable and professional. Making the appointment was so easy, I made it online and then shortly after I received a confirmation email with the time and date. For some reason it didn't make my husbands appointment but I called to see if I could get him in as well and unfortunately there were no appointments but she did call me the following day saying she could get us both in at 12p! So the fact the front receptionist remembered me was so thoughtful! After the eye exam you can look around the VisionWorks area and get your contacts and look for glasses if you are interested. I can't wait to come back for my next exam! Definitely recommended! read more

I couldn't recommend Linda John-Finn more. She was a delight from the start. Very welcoming and made the visit very comfortable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and answered questions without making me feel dumb. After getting my eyes checked, I was sent out to pick frames. There are a lot of options with frames and it was a pretty quick turnaround to get my completed frames in hand. The only issue I had with this location - after I picked my frames and had my pupil distance measured (PD) I asked the sales associate if she could write the PD in my prescription, but she told me that if I wanted my PD I would need to speak with the doctor because it was against company policy to provide the PD. The sales associate told me the doctor only had access to my PD (which confused me because the sales associate told me she was measuring my PD to add to my prescription before collecting insurance information). She made me feel very stupid for asking if I could have this information and it made it an extremely uncomfortable situation. So with that - loved the doctor. Best eye doctor I've visited in Orlando, however, I wasn't a fan of the sales associate who helped me with my glasses. read more

I always get a little nervous for an eye exam and I wasn't sure who to go to after relocating to Florida. Dr. Linda John-Finn was amazing and really put me at ease right away. She was patient and kind, and knowledgeable. She was eager to discuss all aspects of my eye health and my needs for an updated prescription. She is very service oriented too, and just genuinely seems to care that you are happy. The rest of the staff was great too, I can't remember the name of the person who assisted me with my glasses, but he was fantastic too. Not pushy, but there for me and very helpful. I do wish they had a bit of a larger selection of frames, perhaps I should have shopped around online a bit before going in, but the experience itself was fantastic and I'm very pleased to have a new eye doctor that I feel comfortable with. read more

We came in 2 weeks ago for an eye exam. Had an appointment and they were a little slow but not bad. Optometrist was nice and efficient. Was told glasses would be ready in about 2 weeks. After 2 weeks and not hearing from them called and was told that the glasses were in. Would have been nice to hear from them.... Went in to pick up glasses at about 1:15. One guy working. On the phone on hold with a customer's insurance. So I wait. Decided to walk out to my car to tell my husband what was taking so long and the guy on hold days " my associate should be back from his break soon". Walk out, walk back in, wait and finally the other guy gets back from his break. 25 minutes to pick up a pair of glasses is a little too long. Should be a 10 minute process. Visionworks needs to hire at least 1 more person to help out and I don't want to hear the pandemic excuse. read more

Reception and staff were fabulous, and Dr John-Finn was fantastic. She made it very easy to understand what was going on with my eyes and things to look out for in the future. Came in on Monday morning after finding a last minute appointment that was open Sunday evening. Drove in and everyone was so nice and helpful. I have always used eye insurance and private eye doctors. The draw for me was that the eye exam was free if I purchase glasses. I needed a pair of prescription sunglasses so o went in. Everyone from the greeter to the doctor was super nice. Once I was done with the eye exam, there were two employees that helped me with choosing glasses. There was a young lady that initially helped me and then she turned it over to a guy. Both were helpful and steered me in the right direction as I was trying to get a set of glasses like I had. These people are friendly and helpful. I def recommend this place and will consider them in the future. read more

Sup Yelpers, I visited this location specifically because of the reviews and one personal recommendation. Unfortunately my visit was no where near as good as described by others. Perhaps it's because it was a Sunday. Or maybe the moon, stars and planetary system were not in line. However I know a large part was because of the one and only non-customer service oriented individual holding the fort down. And she did not do her job with me. I should've known better than to have high expectations, but I did and I was let down. I went in to inquiry about getting new lenses on an existing pair of frames. She was quick to tell me the frames would be shipped to their lab and they wouldn't be held responsible for any damage. Apparently all work is down externally. She asked about insurance coverage and I advised her I had already used my yearly benefits and would be willing to pay. She then gave me two quotes for lenses and said the frames are extra, but they have a "BOGO" deal for $600.00. Given her tone I cut my visit short and walked out. She didn't give me a warm greeting. Meanwhile I literally was the only customer. She didn't take a moment to ask about my situation. She was very quick to take a 'hands off' indemnification approach that turned me off. At least try to work with me and sell me on your BOGO offer. My experience and perspective folks. And my perspective is my reality. Read through my posts and you'll see I try to stay positive and give props where are do. Not this place. Later... Husband and I went to this Visionworks at Millenia yesterday and we were absolutely thrilled with the service we received, we did have to wait a bit longer than expected but we could see the circumstances and things happen at times, however the lady in taking patients for the doctor was super sweet (will edit later with name) and sociable and it was comfortable. We saw Dr Linda for our eye exam and she took both my husband and I back into the room and was very kind, efficient and thorough, we both felt comfortable and confident with her. She was very patient and explained prescription options with us, absolutely adore this doctor While our eyes were dilating the lady upfront (will also edit later with her name) welcomed us both to browse and also gave me options and her thoughts on frame style I should look at, I was delighted at all the styles and colors there was to choose from! I was actually a little overwhelmed with all the choices, but the lady helped a great deal! Then when getting down to the knitty gritty of costs she was extremely thoughtful and understanding and she went down line by line to give us choices without feeling any pressure at all, especially for me, because now I have progressive lenses and she truly explained to me what the experience may feel like and used my insurance 100% in our favor, also, Ive always wanted prescription sunglasses but never thought I'd be able to afford even with insurance, she let me know that my insurance would cover the majority, I had no idea! I am so very excited! Her knowledge was outstanding and she was able to help my husband and I together, she was multitasking with us but she did so with such ease. I've been wearing glasses since a child and this by far has been the best experience I've had! First of all let me say the doctor Dr Linda is a solid 10 I will continue to use her for my eye exams! She is caring professional and awesome!! After the exam I went back up front to purchase glasses and lenses. It was like high pressure car salesmanship. I told the young man that I wanted transitional lenses and did not need or want anti glare. He told me anti glare was incorporated in the lenses and he would quote me a price with it. The price he quoted was 979.95 for digital or 859.95 for premium. These prices included the cost for 250.00 for frames which meant the lenses were 759.99/609.95. Average cost for transitional is between 100.00 to 400.00: I called my last eye doctor office and they quoted me 350.00 for transitional lenses.I was being charged twice the amount. I told the young man way too much all he said was here is my card call me if you change your mind. Needless to say I will not be calling. You would think they would make affordable lenses available rather than high ball everyone I read more

The doctor is absolutely fabulous and you should see her, however, the store is atrocious and you should walk out immediately after your appointment. The doctor saw me in a timely manner, was incredibly nice, and helped me face some of my fears I have when seeing an eye doctor. I will absolutely be back to see her. I will never interact with the staff in the store. When I left, they said they would have to contact me later to order my contacts, as they couldn't do it that day. This should have been my first red flag as I was the only person in the entire building and they had no other customers. They took my prescription and told me they would call. They called that afternoon but unfortunately I was busy and couldn't give my credit card information over the phone. I called them back maybe 2 weeks later as it was the most convenient time for me, and the service I received was laughable. I was put on hold for over 25 minutes total, 7 different times! The person helping me kept hiccuping into the phone, which I understand isn't controllable, but he could have said something other than "ooh, that one hurt!" after every hiccup. I thought I was on a prank show. They said they switched computers and lost my prescription. How do you lose a physical copy of my prescription that you took from me before I left after switching computers? They said they would call me back the next day as the doctors office was closed. Next day- no call. I called the day after around 10 or 11 am and the girl said she would take care of it and call me back. 6pm I called her and she said the doctors office was closed at 5pm and she would have to call me back the next day. Horrible service! I still haven't heard 3 days later. I called another Visionworks, explained my situation, and asked if THEY wanted my money. Their manager is handling my situation now. I had the best experience here with the staff at Millenia Visionworks. Everyone smiled and made sure to greet me as soon as I walked in the door. The safety precautions they took also put me at ease as they were very thorough with taking temps, cleaning equipment etc.. Dr. John-Finn was so sweet and made sure that she was thorough and explained all test and exam results in detail so you leave fully understanding the health of your eyes. The receptionist and the gentleman who helped with eyeglass adjustments were also very friendly and accommodating. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an eye doctor and I will definitely be going back there for any eye care needs in the future. read more

This group of people are amazing! My son and I walked in at 1145 without an appointment. I expected to wait for several hours after they offered to call me when closer to the exam time. The time flew by as my son and I caught up on stuff, read and had some lunch at a local eatery. During this time we also received excellent recommendations from Jose Miguel and his team. Before we knew it we were being examined by Dr John-Finn. She took her time with listening to concerns, explaining options and giving advice. All thhis kNowing we were walk ins and they were busy. I'm a nurse and know what a good-hearted clinician does when working against the clock. I'm telling you Ii she is an amazing human n being with serious skill with people! Thank you Dr. John Fiinn and team for a truly delightful experience. I'm coming back and recommend ending your store to anyone I know. I went to this place due to its location, got my exam, and it was not the correct prescription, i was getting worse and worse, this so called doctor is very dangerous, save your eyes, this people are NOT worth you loosing your sight, even if you tell then that the prescription does not fit you well after 2 times she says get used to it, BS my eyes have to get better not worse, To make a long story short, save your money, your time, your insurance coverage and the headaches having to go back to this place, See a real doctor get a legit eye exam your eyes and your sight are more important than this place. read more

Spent too much for my glasses here, but thought I would get great service. Broke my glasses, went by to have them swap my lenses for my sunglasses and they where rude and immediately told me I would have to leave, make an appointment and come back. I need my glasses!!! Left and went across the parking lot to Americas Best and they no questions helped me and did not charge me. WOW, I now have a new place for glasses, in fact they are making new sunglasses for me now!!! Go somewhere else. I have been working with them on contacts and glasses for a month. They have very few trial pair and everytime they have to get a trial pair it is 5-10 business days. Was going to get computer bifocals. They priced me 400+ with insurance. Went to target and got them for 157.00. Receptionist in the dr. office is very rude and acts like you are really bothering her. When dealing with contacts it may take a little bit to get them right and she is not patient at all. She even went so far as to ask me, what kind did I want her to order! Save your time and money and go somewhere else. If I hadn't already used my insurance benefit here, I would certainly go somewhere else for the contacts. read more

Let me start by saying that this particular Vision Works (on Millennia Blvd.) I was completely exasperated, b/c I had visited other vision stores that day w/ no help and bad customer service. I was expecting more of the same when I walked in, however, I was first greeted by Joanna and she was very friendly and warm and showed me frames that would be in my price range while she looked up my insurance and helped customer's that were there first. I was then approached by Natalia and she really dug in and help me try on several pairs. Then Mary came (my God send) her and the other two ladies really helped, they help me find a frame shape and style and right when I thought I had chosen a pair, I changed my mind, and Mary continued to help me find a pair that I absolutely love. They have made a permanent customer out of me and I will continue to tell everyone to go to them when they need glasses or contacts. read more
