This is the WORST COMPANY TO HAVE YOU EYE GLASSES MADE, I made the mistake to go here and after they charged $700 between my insurance and my credit card I went to have my glasses replace because they got scratched ( these is the 1st time) that my glasses get scratched because they use very chip Polycarbonate And I been using eyeglasses since 10 years old! I was scheduled for a visit at 9:15 AM, but when I arrived they told me that my appointment was for 2:00 PM. Even though it was their fault, they did not find the need to accomodate me in the schedule. The doctor told me that I would have to come another day. No regard for my time on my other plans. I felt no empathy or sense of responsibility to fix their mistake. read more

The night before appointment day, the receptionist called us to remind the time for appointment. The staff today are very friendly, and the doctor Dr. Dominguez is very nice and friendly, good attitude and listen to the patient very well. She is fast and very professional. Overall the experience were great for my parents. They help my parents to get the glass they need. The waiting time is not bad and they have TV to educate patients while waiting. The only thing is they only have one restroom for men and women to share. Today's experience is much better than last year. I have brought my parents to this location for annual eye exam, the staff are well trained and take their time to take care each patient. Definitely highly recommend Dr Dominguez. read more

I have been going to this eye doctor for many years, since I was a kid in elementary and now currently in college. The staff is amazing they have always been super kind, helpful and patient. The only thing that really annoys me to the absolute most is they never ever pick up the phone. I have waited over 30 minutes just for them to answer. Or have to call around 4-5 times for them to pick up and it's honestly super annoying and frustrating. I didn't think I would ever right a review but this is absolutely ridiculous. read more

My 5 year old daughter went in for her first eye exam (has an astigmatism in both eyes). Pro's. 1. The facility is very clean and in a decent shopping plaza. (Facing Sandlake Road) 2. The people who run insurance and ring you up are very nice and accommodating. They explained our options and pricing very well. 3. Dr. Raney is a classic Doc; knowledgeable and fairly straight forward. His bedside manner is a little on the dry end, but he definitely knows what he is doing. 4. Great selection of frames for my little one. Although, can't comment on pricing since this is my first experience with glasses. 5. Medicaid (Staywell) paid for the eye exam and up to $70 off of my daughters frames she picked out. Con's 1. If you are White/non-Spanish speaker, you will be in the minority and it was my perception that you are "second-class" meaning, despite you being the first to talk to someone, or only one waiting - if someone comes up speaking Spanish, they become the priority. (Not a big deal since I am a fairly patient person) but my wife was not pleased. 2. If you have an appointment, don't expect to start at that time you chose. Customer service was horrible from the moment that I stepped inside Optical Outlets. The staff had asked us to sit OUTSIDE the office. They couldn't find the paperwork I did online. So they made me redo it. They kept asking me to sit somewhere else, and move whenever I did paperwork. The staff (except the doctors) were extremely rude. I heard them whispering gossip right in front of me. When I refused to get the antiglare after the male staff member recommended it. He immediately complained that we didn't want to pay for it. The customer can't even choose what they want on their glasses. They only care about profits and had rude service. They kept trying to make me pay out of pocket for the eyeglass frames outside the insurance parameters. read more

I'm not sure what is the point of an appointment when the wait was about over and hour. I highly recommend this location. The customer service was amazing! I called on a Saturday morning when my sons glasses broke and they were able to fit me in that day. When we got there all of the staff was friendly & very helpful with questions my son & I had. Dr Esperanza was an amazing optometrist & she was very proffesional. We were in & out within an hour which is great since I hate waiting.. lol They accept a lot of different insurances and even Medicaid. read more

My mom & I had a walk-in exam a few weeks ago and they were incredibly accommodating and super nice! Jennifer and Cindy assisted my mom and I with choosing frames and printed out everything we asked for. Blue Cross Blue Shield (VSP) is accepted and covered a huge amount of our costs. My dad had his exam today and he returned home very pleased with Dr. Esperanza and Jennifer. I love my new glasses! Thanks to them and Optical Outlet, my family saved $1000+. And the girl who helped me out in the waiting area and payments was super sweet and helpful too! Had a great experience! They accept Medicaid which is a plus! Not even one star. Do not go. The receptionist was rude every time I went in. And no I'm not prejudiced but there were Spanish speaking people that signed in after me - twice, that were seen before me. I went to the counter each time and was spoken to rudely. Then they - the employees who all speak Spanish starting talking to each other in Spanish and still no help about me. Never again!!! Never been so discriminated in my life. read more

I was quoted one price for contacts exam without insurance for astigmatism on the phone and when I went in I was charged considerably more even though I specified with the representative over the phone what the circumstances were. The wait was ridiculous too see the doctor, and then to check out overall it took over 2 hours even though I was on time for my appointment. A majority of that was just wait time, even to check out took over a half hour. The location I went to also was dirty & dingy. I would never recommend this franchise. The whole operation seemed rather unprofessional. The doctor explained nothing to me about eyes or my prescription. Overall it was a horrible experience, and I regret even going to the facility. Do not waste your time there. I wish I could give it zero stars. This place is a trashbox, don't waste your time or money. read more

I have been many times. If you make an appointment, carve out about three hours. the exam takes about 15 minutes. They schedule about 15 or 20 appointments for every hour. If you think you're getting out of there for $69 dollars, forget it. Limited frames. The next jump up is $250. Then they will try to "upgrade you" with anti-glare, and the like. Consider yourself lucky to get out with a $500 bill. It used to be different, but, they got greedy. read more

Worst place ever!!!! The employees are soooo rude and think they know it all. I went in to ask a question after getting contacts and glasses and the doctor wasn't there because he was on vacation for the holidays so they said they would leave him a note. I called as soon as I drove off to tell them that I changed my mind and didn't want them to leave him the note. It took them a minute to answer but when I came in the place was empty, there were about eight workers doing nothing. When they answered they put me on speaker and I was like "hey I just came in about..." and one of the girls shouted "no we won't" as in they won't help me and everyone laughed. I was so shocked and said "excuse me"? and she goes "hold on" and put me on hold for 5 minutes and 36 seconds. I hung up and called again. These people are so unprofessional and yelled at me because I asked for them to change something. Its currently December and I get to get a yearly eye exam every year so next month I will be changing my doctor due to these rude women. The doctor was okay but not my favorite. I am very displeased with the lack of customer service. I made an appointment for my children to get their eyes checked. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early so we did. We arrived at 8:15 like we were told too. We were waiting and Jennifer the store manager came out telling me they weren't open. I tried telling her how we were told to arrive 15 mins early. She responded with a rude attitude and told me o'well we open in 15 minutes. So while I waited I pulled up my confirmation they had sent me. So when Jennifer the so called store manager opened the door I tried showing her the email. She responded with such rudeness and told me she didn't care what the email said and with a very snotty attitude told me " I opened the door 5 minutes just for you". I can't believe how rude Jennifer is. Next time I will not be coming back to this place. The eye doctor should really look at who they hire to be their store manager. Jennifer is a very rude unpleasant person. I will not be returning because of the store manager Jennifers rudeness. This business should definitely hire a new manager who is not a rude sarcastic women. Jennifer has no customer service ability and should find a job where she doesn't need to interact with people.
