Dr Chapin is the best!! Been coming to him since high school, now 30 years!! Yikes has it been that long??? He did my 6 front veneers in high school ( after a traumatic cavity experience post braces from other practitioners) and the veneers are still going strong and beautiful today! Nobody knows they are veneers until I tell them, and everyone is always surprised. . Moved away for a few years and had to see another dentist who did a crown, but that crown came off after a year. however, Dr Chapin came to the rescue today!! Took care of me right away. No nonsense. Due to past experience's , I was terrified to see a dentist again. After talking to some close friends , I decided to give Chapin a try . I was Not disappointed at all. As soon as I walked in the door , I was greeted by 2 of his employee's . They were both friendly and that helped ease the anxiety I was already having . When I finally meet Chapin himself, he was so friendly , talks to you as if he has known you for years . We talked about hobbies , kids and grandkids. I explained to him how nervous I was and that I had been told I needed a full set of dentures. He said let's take X-rays and I will tell you what I think . After going over my X-rays , he assured me I don't need full dentures and he was shocked I had been told that . I was also told I would have to go 6-8 months with no teeth so my mouth could heal. That alone would scare anyone and that can't be good for anyone. Granted , I do need a denture for the upper . He is very gentle and the whole staff explains step by step what they are doing. He takes the time to sit down with you and goes over every thing he will do . We started the crown this morning . It was so nice to have a dentist explain everything he will do along the way . He makes sure you don't feel anything . The office manager is Michelle . She was extremely helpful making sure you understand what all will be done at your next visit . They all make sure you feel welcome and they take the time to get to know some things about you . If you have ever had a bad experience from a dentist , I highly suggest Dr Chapin! You won't be disappointed . Even if you haven't had a bad experience before , give him a try . From the staff, the hygienist , office manager to Chapin himself, I have never felt so calm and relaxed for dental work . read more

As (bad) luck would have it, I broke a tooth and had to see Dr. Chapin. I was schedule to leave the country in about a week. Dr. Chapin and his staff took great care of me. Dr. Chapin saw me during a time when he normally was not working and prepared my tooth for a crown. His staff arranged to have the permanent crown made over the weekend. I saw Dr. Chapin today for the first time. He was recommended to me by a friend. The hygienist, Chelsea, did a very thorough job while also being gentle. My teeth feel incredibly clean and she gave me lots of good information about some problems I was having and how to take better care of my teeth, including what toothbrush to use. I also liked Dr. Chapin. He seems to have a conservative attitude toward dental work, which I like. I have a mouth full of fillings, crowns, etc., so it would be very easy for a dentist to take advantage and tell me that I needed just about anything and have it sound plausible, but Dr. Chapin said that I had no cavities. Based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend this dental office. read more
