VERY KIND TO SENSITIVE AND SCARED PATIENTS! I have not had any serious dental work in well over 10 years. In my initial consultation, I was scared. Dr. Mashtoub tried to console me that every thing would be fine but my nerves were shot. Come time for my appointment, I was so nervous. I knew I could get over it but was just initially scared. He was so nice and very very gentle with giving me the shots in my mouth. I did not feel it at all. I was relieved. He was so nice to stay with me an extra minute while I calmed down from all that. The root canal procedure seem to go relatively quickly from there and it all ended well. I listened to a podcast while the procedure was going on so it helped distract me. I got to talk to him afterwards about a few things and I left in a great mood. Overall my experience was great. The staff, such as his assistant Christina and the front office admin Fabiola, are just amazing, so sweet, so kind, and are such hard workers. They are truly the heart of the office! read more

Walking out of a dentists office smiling ear to ear was not on my 2024 bingo card. Dr Mashtoub was an absolute delight. I have been avoiding taking care of my root canal like it's the plague, and after a lot of pain this week, I decided it was time to get it taken care of. Dr answered all 101 questions I had, walked me through every step of the way, and reassured me over and over again that things were going great. The procedure felt better than most cavity fillings I've gotten in the past. He was extremely patient with my drama queen self by making funny jokes and being present with me at all times (my biggest pet peeve is when Denist's spread themselves so thin with multiple patients at once. Not here!!). I literally have nothing but great things to say about the entire experience. By the end of it, I actually wanted to hug the doctor... in what world!! Anyways, this was the loveliest of experiences, and I can't recommend Dr Mashtoub and his wonderful office enough. He is officially on my top 20 list of favorite people to date! This is for the front desk. She could not care less about patients. Do not reply calls and only check on insurances the day before the appointment? Who would do that? They should check on the insurance on the same day and tell the patients right away if they do not accept. I have been patiently waiting for my appointment but told that my insurance is not accepted the last day. Time wasted. Dr. Mashtoub is amazing, simple as that. I was in need of a root canal on my very back tooth. I am a bit of a special case as I have a very small mouth and have limited access to opening wide. I had been told by other general dentists and an oral surgeon that my tooth could be saved but it would be very difficult, and that since it was causing me so much pain it might be easier just to extract it. I am only in my 30s however and wanted to save my tooth if I could. Dr. Mashtoub was so thorough in explaining everything to me at my first appointment and at my second appointment he was able to finish the root canal to completion! It took him 2 hours but I am so happy he was able to complete it. Everything was painless and he explained everything he was doing to me before he did it so I knew what to expect. Dr. Mashtoub and his assistant (Christina, I believe) were the most amazing, caring, and reassuring for my root canal. I've never had one, and needless to say, was a bit nervous. Their kindness and friendliness were second to none and made me instantly feel like I'd been seeing them for years, even though it was my first visit. Not only that, but I didn't feel a thing! It was quick, painless, and we even talked a little about our faborite Batman film. It was easy to make an appointment, and the front office was very transparent about the pricing and insurance options. I'm embarrassed that it has taken me so long to write this review. My dentist referred me to Dr. Mashtaub for a near emergent same day root canal on the day before Thanksgiving in 2019. I was Dr. Mashtaub's last patient that Wednesday evening; he stayed late to perform the procedure. He patiently answered all of my questions before and after the root canal. My follow up appointment was excellent as well. This was the first year of Covid; Dr. Mashtaub was very mindful and very careful about the enhanced need for protection during my surgery and at follow up. I was referred by my dentist to see this Endodontist to get a root canal done.When I walked in the nice modern office I was greeted by the office manager Idle. She was friendly and efficient. There was no wait and I was immediately taken to a room. I am so impressed how clean everything is and they take the Covid protocol seriously. The equipments that they use are up to date. Hand held xray machine. So, I did not have to get up to the xray room and back and forth, in like my previous other dentist. When I met Dr Mashtoub, he was friendly and explain every step of the way for this treatment. He showed me the xray and showed me what needed to be done. The procedure went well. An Rx was given for antibiotics and there will be a follow up to ensure that all is ok. I was max out on my dental insurance so they gave me a great out of pocket discount!! Scanner type of X-ray were taken prior, during, and, after my root canal to ensure everything was properly done. I was well informed throughout the whole treatment, step-by-step explanation prepared me for his next move, I felt I was in a very good hand and relaxed. I even had dinner 2 hours later. What a good experience. The doctor has wonderful bed-side manners and technique. Explains everything clearly, including reasoning for root canal recommendation, and walks through every thing as he does it. He's very gentle, which my mouth appreciates! It's been about a year since my root canal and have had no problems. Glad I trusted the Yelp reviews! I had a root canal by my usual endodontist and she wasn't able to complete it instead suggesting the tooth should be extracted. The dentist disagreed and said the root canal should be completed. At that point I turned to Yelp and decided to see Dr Mashtoub for a consultation. He took X-rays and was confident he could complete the root canal. He has a very calm and pleasant demeanor, explained everything in appropriate detail and has great Yelp reviews so I went ahead booked an appointment for the procedure. I'm sure my tooth gave him quite the challenge but he took his time and was indeed able to get the job done. He and his staff were top notch all the way through and consistently checked how I was doing. I recently had an accident and chipped a tooth and fractured many others. I was told I needed a root canal, and many people told me how painful their experience was. Needless to say, I was a little anxious to get mine done. But when I came in today at the office, i was greeted by very friendly staff, the doctor was extremely knowledgable and kind. He walked me through the process and told me to let me know when I feel any discomfort. And to my amazement, THERE WAS NONE! He applied some anesthetic and it was apparently enough because I didn't feel a thing (besides the drill shaking up my teeth). Dr Ferras Mashtoub is absolutely amazing. As a dentist myself I have done many root canals but I have never had any myself. When I cracked a tooth, the pain was unbearable. I called Dr Mashtoub and he was able to see me right away. My tooth has curved roots and I knew it would be a more difficult root canal however Dr Mashtoub handled it beautifully from beginning to end. When he numbed me I didn't feel a thing except relief from pain. The root canal was quick and pain free. He did a beautiful job with my curved roots, saved my tooth and got me out of pain. Holy crap I can't believe I'm about to leave this review of my ROOT CANAL guy. Dr. Mashtoub. But like. I don't want him to be a secret. I had an infected mess in my mouth, and my regular dentist threw me at this poor Dr. Mashtoub on the spot for emergency treatment. So, yeah, the shots still suck at Dr. M's, but here's the difference at this place versus others: the people. OMG. The people. Each as warm and sincere as the last. The atmosphere is light & easy, and the gentle voices in the halls speak warmly and familiarly with one another. That's nice. But then my big ol mouth got in there, & f*ck. Now I want to adopt them all. They took such good care of me! Talked me through everything, answered my questions, laughed at my bad nervous jokes, & just in general supported me in whatever way I needed. I dont get it either. I mean- I don't like dentists or root canal guys or whatever the fancy titles are. Like. Sorry, nothing personal, but your job is the bane of my existence, right? Not Dr. Mashtoub. I actually LOOKED FORWARD to this dumb appointment this morning! Wtf? Ok. Truth is: we had some important football games to discuss after this weekend. (I don't hold his team against him. Heh) What I'm saying is...if you hate this teeth crap, & need an environment that somehow makes it easier for you to get through the door? This team. Even if you don't like football, he's so cool to talk to, as well as each of his team members. Biggest bonus: my teeth are all a mess. I was referred by my dentist in Toluca Lake for a root canal and can't say enough good things! I was hesitant given it's a 15 minute drive from me with no traffic but I avoided rush hour by booking my appointment accordingly. Dr. Mashtoub and his staff were incredibly nice and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I was honest in telling them that I hate the dentist ha! So if you are in need of a Endodontics this is the place to go. First off I have to say everyone was so polite and the office is extremely clean. Second the compassion they showed towards me which is some thing that I have not experienced in such a long time. I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder and had to have a root canal which requires a rubber blanket piece to go over your mouth. I immediately started to panic and the doctor did everything to help calm me down so that we could get through the procedure. He would stop periodically so that I could relax and then proceed again. It's very rare nowadays to have people that actually care and take the time to explain in detail what they're doing. I appreciate everything the doctor had done and if I ever have to go back (sorry which I hope I don't) I wouldn't hesitate to come back here. They want to see me in six months from now to make sure everything is still good and I've set that appointment for next year. read more

I am evidently a nervous wreck especially coming in for a root canal procedure. But the entire staff made me feel like family.
