Had the chance to finally check out Edulis after hearing so many amazing things about it. Took me about 2 months to secure reservation, so make sure you're on the ball with dates and times in mind once reservations open up. Any hesitation, chances are... you'll lose your spot. The food was good, service was amazing. Our server, Philip is the best of the best. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Explained every dish and provided insight into what the chefs vision for the dish was. The food was really good, however I have to be honest, it didn't wow us to warrant 5 stars. I'd say 4.5. Seabream, Snow Crab, Scallops, Halibut Cheek and Clams, Lobster was amazing. Stuff Squid and the chicken was a miss for us, despite still being a very interesting way of using the protein. These 2 things were the only items during our experience that didn't hit the mark, other than that, it was a great meal at one of the top restaurants in Canada.

What a fabulous meal! I had always meant to go here when I lived closer but I found out recently they are going a 5 course meal to take home. Now, if plating something nice scares you, it's not for you but I found it really fun. Mine did not look great but it was fun to try it (and then really appreciate why you have talented people do this at restaurants). The food was fantastic and the instructions were easy to follow. They even posted on their Instagram how they would plate the dishes to help you. Love that so much. The tuna and the cake were my favourite. I don't even like chocolate cake but this was almost like brownie with a malted icing and salted caramel Prasil pieces that tasted like toffee crunchy bits. Highly suggest if you're looking for a fancy meal and to try your hand at plating.

Edulis doesn't need my review...or yours. This quaint little home (once a worker's cottage?!) on Niagara Street offers a Michelin-level dining experience, superb authentically Canadian seafood tasting menu, in a warm and intimate environment. There are only two chefs (the owners, who opened Edulis about a decade ago, after building their respective careers in other fine dining establishments) and 2 waitstaff (who appear knowledgable and passionate about Edulis and it's offerings). The capacity is about 30 people, and there is only one sitting per evening. That's right, my fellow slow eaters can savour their meal in peace. They want you to stay awhile and enjoy the meal (and the company of your dining companion!) Now, on to the food. Oh my goodness. If this restaurant doesn't get at least one Michelin star, it will be a crime. And we Canadians should take it as a personal offense. The 7-course tasting menu featured seafood from all across Canada. We had fish from both coasts, as well as Nunavut. We also had caviar, crab, and lobster. The pairings were savoury and divine. My favourite dish featured fresh little mushrooms from Saskatchewan (picked at the beginning of the season), and sweet corn (from Ontario, I believe). Every course is so deliberate, both in flavour and in presentation. No detail spared. I almost feel sorry for eating it. We added two additional dishes to our very filling tasting courses: aged cured Jamon from Spain, and a platter of 4 cheeses recommended by our server. The jamon was aged 5 years and delicious. The perfect amount of firmness, saltiness, and a delectable little snack to pique our interest for what was yet to come. The cheeses complemented each other perfectly. We enjoyed a thoughtful mix of firm and soft cheeses for dessert. If you have a special occasion or just enjoy a good tasting menu, get on the waitlist for a reservation here. You can thank me later.

Review is actually. 3.5...an excerpt from a longer review. "The star of the evening was Dungeness crab from B.C. Served with a Marcona almond purée and the first rapini of the season (including its buds), this was simplicitéat its best. Smokiness from the Marcona almonds punched up the dish and balanced the saltiness of the crab meat. One of the downfalls of many chefs is overcomplicating dishes with numerous ingredients. This was thoughtful in presentation and taste. Pour le prochain plat, an earthy dish consisting of Nova Scotia lobster and porcini mushrooms. The decorative circles of demi-glace drew my eyes into the mound of perfection. The mushrooms had been intricately brunoised and mixed with luscious, buttery chunks of lobster. While these two ingredients are not a common pairing, the earthiness of the wild mushrooms emphasized the sweetness of the succulent seafood. A noticeable lull occurred at this point in the repas, with a long stretch between courses. We migrated from shellfish to fish with Chinook salmon in a shallow pool of dashi broth. What surprised me about the salmon was its unusual ivory flesh -- an apparent result of its diet -- and insipid flavour. Earthy new potatoes and green asparagus accompanied the salmon, but didn't add anything to the dish's overall blandness. A pile of poorly chopped herbs covered the whole dish and wasn't a purposeful treatment to garnish this Asian-inspired dish...."

Had an incredibly disappointing lunch at Edulis on Sunday, July 14. Was hesitating on whether or not to actually post -- did I just not understand what I was being served? But I'll let you be the judge. My friend and I arrived at 12pm, didn't get out until 3:30pm (we'd have probably been there til nearly 4 if I didn't get the dessert rushed out so we could get out of there). I understand relaxed service (I was at Per Se recently, spent less than three hours there for around double the courses), but we spent the majority of the time at the restaurant waiting (we waited nearly half an hour in between the tomato course and the water buffalo fresco). We noticed that we'd been synced to two other services of two guests each. One of these two tables arrived an hour after we did -- were we slowed down to make food prep easier or something? It can't have been a cooking time issue, so much of it was just plating stuff. The food as a whole was very underwhelming. It's not to say it was bad, but as a restaurant that's held the mantle of 7th, 8th, and 10th best Restaurant in Canada for the past few years I have to raise the bar a little bit. Just as I wouldn't judge an AYCE sushi place about whether or not it's as good as Shoushin/Zen/etc., I can't use a low bar to judge a restaurant that's supposed to be one of the best. Not one dish was mind blowing, and in fact everything seemed quite pedestrian. It honestly felt like there was no thought whatsoever in trying to actually do anything special, some of these presentations are atrocious (ie. the frittata...) There were also basic mistakes like the fried porcinis not being properly salted... If this place is actually even top 10 in Canada we're in a lot of trouble. But I feel like it'd be easy to find 10 places that are better than it just in Toronto/GTA. It just sucks that a tourist might come here, eat this, and think it's among the best Canada has to offer. My friend and I were wondering by the end if the chef got really sick that day or something and someone else was cooking since the experience seems so different from what others have written about. Based on this meal, we were completely dumbfounded as to how Edulis found its way onto any "best of" lists this year. Perhaps it was an off day, but once again... is a restaurant of this supposed calibre allowed to have so many missteps? It really really sucks as I was looking forward to eating here a lot after seeing wonderful pictures of previous meals... what on earth happened?! Rating: 20/100. It'd be less, but at least service was friendly and trying her best. I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but as a restaurateur there are no off days, sometimes you only get one chance to make an impression, so it's always gotta be A-Game. And if anyone tries to tell me that was their A game... well, then that's a bigger problem.

Edulis never disappoints! We love to visit for their Sunday lunch/ brunch and always have an enjoyable afternoon! the service is perfection and the food is a delight- always something new and different. The half-price wine bottles is a wonderful touch and certainly helps with the overall experience :) While we have had dinner there, we much prefer the lunch option for the pricing and relaxed ambiance. The overall experience is like an afternoon stroll in a small French town.

Overall the experience is OK, but not powerful enough for repeated visits. My first visit is with my mother. The ambience is cozy and romantic. The service was great, absolutely nothing to pick on. We ordered warm water, and they brought us a cute owl shaped teapot. The food is fresh, and daring. I could tell the chef put a lot of effort in preparing the ingredients and the meal. We both ordered the 7 course meal. I will summarize the experience was like a rollercoaster ride. In general all the seafood dishes and fresh. The bread on the table is decent, but not to the level for me to finish the mini sack. It is not hot/warm, something I take notice as a must for restaurant that cares about their customers. The first fish dish was with sour apple dice. Not a big fan of it. The second scallops fish was to die for. If I can order, I will eat 30 order by myself. My mother agreed with my assessment. It has the hint of yazu. The 3rd dish is another fish dish with eggplant and mushroom. Nothing special, unless you count the server pour in the soup at the table (something Canoe did already). The 4th dish is pike, and amazing. The surprising element was the almond nuts. The rest of the dishes are not worth mentioning. The stuff squid just have special ink appearance. The squid nor stuffing taste good. The duck was salty. The cake and cream we took 1 bite and didn't finish. The cake is drowned with rum. The cream was over whipped. I would be happier if you just give me a piece of chocolate. Overall the portion is on the small side, and will not be enough for any big eaters. Luckily we ordered the 7 and not the 5 course meal, or else I will not even get to try the yummy scallops. I doubt I will return.

For our birthdays this year, we celebrated extravagantly with a tasting menu at Edulis. A 5-course tasting menu is currently priced at $65 while a 7-course tasting menu is currently priced at $85. We made our reservations a month in advance. When we arrived, I was surprised to find that Edulis was situated in a small residence-like shop. Its storefront was gorgeous with a small patio and beautiful colourful flowers. Inside, I was further surprised to find that the entire restaurant was very dimly lit and actually didn't have a lot of tables for seating. We were served "filtered Q" water with a charge of $2 per person. The menu stated, "Thank you for not using your cell phone at the table." Edulis's tasting menus are based around seafood, vegetables, and wild mushrooms, which is quite different than other tasting menus which involve meat. The cuisine is Mediterranean and Spanish-influenced. We started off with a bread served with a tomato paste, filtered butter, and a skewer of bread and anchovy-stuffed olive. One thing that I didn't like is that because their lighting was so dim (candlelight only), you could barely see what you were eating (never mind wanting to take a nice photo to commemorate the meal). All of the other tasting menus that I have experienced before have had natural or white lighting so that you could see and admire the workmanship that was put into each individual dish. I hope this is something that Edulis can consider changing in the future. Food also tastes better when you can see it clearly and enjoy the visual aesthetics of it. I love seeing how each ingredient is put together on the dish and it's a shame that we weren't able to do this (especially when it's a tasting menu that's pricier than eating out at regular restaurants, I really wanted to maximize my experience). Anyway, the bread was quite good. It was soft and had a good texture. The tomato paste was very fresh. The butter was smooth and rich. We were told to eat the skewer of bread and stuffed olive together in one bite. The 1st course we received was a cold dish of New Zealand garoupa. It was fresh and pretty good. The 2nd course was a scallop on a shell. This was fresh and the herbs gave it a very strong aroma. Since the scallop was cooked on the shell, it took some digging with the spoon to get it off the shell. After every course, our plates were cleared and our old cutlery were replaced with new ones. The 3rd was a Nova Scotia lobster prepared with Saskatchewan mushroom and Ontario grits. This smelled amazing. I was so enthralled especially because the flavours marinated so well together. The bisque was like a foam covering the ingredients. This was delicious. The 4th course was a slightly smoked salmon from B.C. (I love that all the dishes up used products from different provinces in Canada). The "slightly" smoked part of this salmon was indeed true. The 5th course was a hake fish and clam. The hake fish came out in flakes and tasted good. The clam was sizable and also had to be dug out from its shell. I was surprised with the portion of this dish. It seemed that the courses were getting bigger. The sixth course was a slow growing Ontario chicken. By this point, we were getting full and I couldn't believe this large portion. The chicken breast was actually stuffed with foie gras! This was unexpected as well (and further added to the fullness). The foie gras was just okay. I wish the vegetables that complemented this were more of the refreshing variety. The chicken breast was very tender while the chicken leg was more ordinary in taste. This was the most disappointing course because it was such a less-than-stellar course. The sauce was also too salty (something I wouldn't expect to see in a fine dining restaurant.) Before the dessert was served, I looked at the cheese menu out of curiosity and was impressed that they served so many types. The 7th and final course of the night was the dessert -- a nectarine sorbet with mulberries. It was refreshing. The mulberries were so fresh as if they were just picked right off the tree. We were surprised with a bonus dessert. This was baba au rhum, a small cake saturated in syrup made with rum. It was served with chantilly cream. We obliged with the server's suggestion of an extra splash of rum on the cake, but found out that the cake itself was already saturated with rum. Thus, it didn't taste very good. :/ I'm glad that I was able to try out the tasting menu at Edulis. I have to say that I've had much better tasting menu experiences elsewhere at other fine dining restaurants (Alo, Canis, Doma to name a few). I also found that the service lacked a bit of professionalism and friendliness from our female server. (The male food runner was great, however.) Hopefully other diners who come here have a better experience than the one I had.

I have been saving up my Opentable points for my meal at Edulis. I love surprises so of course I ordered the 5 Course Carte Blanche Menu ($50). Was it enough food? For me I rather have a culinary experience than just a lot of food if I do I would have go to a AYCE. Our 5 course consisted of a mixture of fish, pork, rabbit, all prepared quite uniquely. From the light hamichi appetizer to the heavier rabbit main course. Since everything is seasonal so what I had was not really relevant as it might be totally different if I would have the dinner tonight. The restaurant itself is small and cozy. Service is attentive and the pace is laid back. So come and enjoy good food with your friends over a glass of wine. Reservation is a Must! Great for Foodie Date!

December 2016 - 5 course Menu $85 Read lots of positive reviews for this restaurant, and decided to splurge a bit for a belated birthday celebration...needless to say with much regret that we will not be returning again, but let us explore why. Ambiance of the restaurant was dark and perhaps to feign a romantic setting; maybe quaint is the word to describe it. To be honest, more light would be appreciated, since I wasn't able to see what I was eating. Service was awful. Miss Waitress must really hate her job because she made minimal communication with us especially when it came to explaining food (She named the dish and that was it. Also didn't help the restaurant was so loud). It was quite intimidating to see how peeved she was at us when we asked for more time to make a decision on our orders (One of us had dietary restrictions, so reviewing the ingredients is justified.) A big part of the experience is feeling valued as a customer; I did not feel valued at all. Needless to say her attitude was sending patrons running for the hills. At the same time, couldn't be too upset with her since she did put a candle on our cake (speculating an emotionally conflicted lady)... Food was alright, but did not quite fulfill expectations--we ordered the 5 course menu ($85 each) [OK] Bread: The edge of the bread was hard as a rock, but the inside was quite soft. And so, had only 1 piece and discarded the rough edges. It was especially good with the homemade butter. [BEST DISH] Squid: This was probably the best dish because you can actually taste the marinade in this one! Al dente bite to the squid and the crispy thing on top added more texture to it. The portion was unfortunately quite minuscule--think of a golf ball cut in half. [MEH] Seabass + sprocket: Fish was not overcooked which was fantastic and the sprockets made the dish look pretty. Not my favourite, but it was good. Definition of good is the following--think of a boiled chicken breast. It is good for you but bland (that kind of good). [HELLS NO] Fish & beets: Couldn't remember the exact name of this dish, but it was truly the worse one on the menu. Again, bland (probably boiled) fish in beats with lemon juice drizzled in some kind of extra virgin olive oil. There was a count of around maybe 5 pieces of fish the size of paper clips. [2ND BEST DISH] Rabbit Confit (leg): Friend says this one was flavourful and meat was juicy. Unfortunately again the size was too small. [MEH] Icecream + orange: Icecream was smooth but nothing out of the ordinary. [OK] Rum cake: Was good especially with the chantilly cream (fancy name for whipped cream) since it lowered the cake's intensity of sweetness. [NOT WORTH $65] White truffle risotto: The smell was really fragrant, but upon first bite there is no aroma of the truffle at all! It was almost equivalent to eating a crunchy styrofoam atop super salty risotto (so that's where all the salt went!). This is not recommended in my humble opinion even though they did give a reasonable amount of truffle. TL;DR -- Our bill came up to be $352.56 before tip (~$450 after tip) which is quite expensive but given the circumstance justified in terms of fine-dining experience. I am not sure why there is such a big hype for this restaurant, but probably because the menus were different from our Dec 2016 selection. I suppose this style of cooking is not really to our palate's liking. The score would have been higher had we received better service, but we will not return again to find out because I don't like having to visit McD for a second meal after spending so much.

-There are two tasting menus available: 5 courses ($65) and 7 courses ($85), each course is tasting portion (tiny). -menu is heavily evolve around seafood and vegetables, thus if you prefer meat, you might not enjoy Edulis as there was only 1 meat dish out of the 7 courses. -Each dishes were not heavily seasoned which allowed the natural flavors of the combined ingredients to shine. The flow of all the courses made sense: from light to heavy. -Food was really good. Only complain is the rhum cake. The cake was incredibly soggy as the server was too heavy-handed on the rum. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. She was condescending and rude toward our table. She essentially treated us as kids. Maybe she had a bad day, but trust me, I was a server previously and I would never treat the customers in such disrespectfully manner. Why? Because the server's performance at the front will overall affect the restaurant's reputation. She promised to provide us the menu of the tasting menu, however after multiple follow ups, it has been more than 1 month and no menu provided. The bill & payment issue was a mess. For example: the bill was $100, my friend paid $150 cash. The server gave my friend $150 with the $50 bill broken down... How does that even make any sense? She explained that she didn't want to assume tips. The server then accused us of not paying and murmured under her breath: "Well I'm sorry if this is too complicated for you to understand" - her exact word.

Beso by Patria offers a really enjoyable Spanish dining experience…read more The Paella Patria was fragrant and flavorful, with fresh Argentinian shrimp and purple mussels. The saffron-infused rice soaked up the rich seafood broth perfectly. You can ask the staff to remove the shells if you want to eat more elegantly. The Spanish Octopus was tender and meaty--so fresh, I could have eaten more! I also tried the 36-month aged Joselito Iberico ham. Even though it's not my usual favorite, it was rich, flavorful, and paired nicely with the optional little crisp toasts. The baked white asparagus was a highlight, fresh and flavorful with a touch of minced meat that elevated the dish. The 16oz beef rib steak was cooked well done but still tender and juicy, and the accompanying little peppers added a subtle kick without being overwhelming. The restaurant's atmosphere is dim and cozy, perfect for dates or small gatherings. The staff were enthusiastic, checking in frequently, and even the management stopped by to make sure everything was going smoothly. Overall, a very satisfying meal with a good mix of flavors and textures.

This place had been on my list for a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype…read more The interior is stunning--very upscale, with gold accents and a bit of that "John Wick" vibe. The atmosphere feels elegant yet lively, perfect for a night out or a special occasion. We came mainly for the paella, and it did not disappoint. There are a few topping options, and it takes about 45 minutes to prepare, so I'd recommend ordering it early. The seafood was the highlight--shrimp were tender and bouncy, with mussels, clams, and even green beans. The flavors together with the rice were perfectly balanced. The Iberico pork shoulder was tender and flavorful, with a sauce that had a subtle savory depth--absolutely delicious. The fried eggplant was a bit on the salty side, and surprisingly didn't taste much like eggplant (more like fried potato slices), but still enjoyable. Overall, every dish had its highlights, and the dining experience was very satisfying. With the combination of great food, attentive service, and stunning ambiance, I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

This is probably one of the worst meals I've had this year…read more First off, my friends had been here the year before and loved it. So I joined them for dinner this year. A few good things - the restaurant is very lovely- large space, beautifully designed, open kitchen to see the cooks, and the staff were lovely! But the food, oh man. First, if you want to order paella, do so right away as they tell you it takes 40minutes. That way once you're done with apps and chatting with your friends, it will be done Ok - food wise, we ordered a bunch of apps and the mushroom paella (there was a vegetarian in the group). - the beet & ricotta app/bread. This was tiny - like half a beet chopped up, with a fig, and a few dollops of ricotta that had limited taste - the salmon tartare (probably the best app) had salmon, a few capers, and razor thin chips - patatas bravas - a potato dish. Meh. At least the potatoes were crispy. - the mushroom paella- no taste lol. I had one scoop and honestly that was enough for me. There was plenty leftover. Even tried adding hot sauce but it couldn't save the dish Save your appetite and money.

Food was on the pricier side but not as expensive as I thought per other reviews. Great service. I'd come back to try the paella and other drinks.

The tapas are really good, though dishes did come out a bit on the slower side. But honestly, it fits the whole experience here: order a few cocktails, enjoy the atmosphere, and let the night unfold at its own pace (within the seating time limit of course). One of those spots that makes you want to order just one more plate. We got: * Half Octopus * Mussels Escabeche * Jamón Croqueta * Shishito Peppers * Sea Bream Ceviche & Chips * Grilled Beef Tongue & Mojo Rojo * Sobrasada & Foie Gras

Came here on a Thursday night and was surprised at how busy it was for a weekday. Despite that, the service was excellent! Staff were friendly off the bat and very attentive after each dish was finished, making sure to wipe off the table or exchanging the plates which I was really impressed with despite how busy they were. We decided to go with their tasting menu where you gave them a price range you wanted to stick to - I believe it was $85-$200, and you can mention some dishes you definitely want to try and they curate the rest for you which I thought was so unique! I loved the idea of that. The dishes we really wanted were the octopus, bone marrow and scallops. The only standout dishes to me were the scallops, and a salad I cannot remember the name of but was so shocked at how good just a simple salad could be. Other than that, the other dishes were still good, but nothing extraordinary to be honest. The octopus was a bit too charred which was disappointing as it was what I was looking forward to the most. The tasting menu we got also had mainly vegetable dishes (other than the ones I just mentioned), so was hoping to get a few more meat dishes. This is definitely a great spot for vegetarians as it had a lot of veggie dishes. I would still come back to maybe try some of their other more meat focused dishes. Overall, I still had a great time and can't stress enough how lovely our waitress and the rest of the staff were!

Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts!…read more La Paella is a dish built for sharing, built with a base of fluffy rice and a mixed melody of seafood. Where this dish truly shone was the rice; each grain was perfectly al dente, infused with a sweet, aromatic, umami-rich seafood broth. The golden, caramelized crust along the pan's bottom delivered a soft crunch and a deeper, caramelized sweetness, adding both texture and bolder savory aroma, elevating each bite that carries the essence of the sea. On top, Pacific and Argentinian shrimp brought a meaty chew and oceanic flavour, while the clams were plump with meat. Mussels, squid rings and monkfish round out the proteins, balanced with snow peas and red peppers that add a soft, vegetal sweetness that adds visual appeal. You'd likely benefit from ordering liberally if you're hungry.

Walked in on a Sunday with no reso for 2. No wait…read more I'd say it's something like a 4.3 realistically. Would come back. Food: Paella: ordered the crispy pork belly and rib paella. Was honestly really good. Looking at all the other reviews here it seems like a mixed bag. But this one was great. Maybe the others aren't always good? The paella is made to order and is cooked in front of you though so maybe they don't have their QA locked in. Our experience was great. Super flavorful. Only thing is that there wasn't really any socarrat (which is the best part!). Purists will say this is required for a paella to be good but I enjoyed myself anyway. Gambas: incredible. I could come back here for just this. The sauce was unreal and so flavorful. No notes. Bread: we got up sold on the bread. Went great wiping up the gambas sauce but the bread itself wasn't that great as far as bread goes. Service: Service was not bad. Pretty prompt and didn't wait long for anything. Ambiance: Pretty cute. Decor is colorful and very Spanish.

Food was so good I forgot to take more photos!…read more We visited LaVinia last week for dinner. We ordered the grilled chorizo and ham croquettes tapas. The ham croquettes were delicious and paired with an amazing garlic aioli. The grilled chorizo was also great but the garlic aioli muted the chorizo taste unfortunately. We also had the arugula and pear salad which was topped with Stilton cheese. We really enjoyed it. For our main course, we ordered the seafood paella which was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the mango cheesecake and lemon sorbet for dessert. The restaurant is tightly packed, intimate, and has a great atmosphere for a date night dinner or dinner with friends. The waiters were attentive and very helpful when ordered. The chef also came around near the end of our dinner to ask how our meal was.

Food: (5 stars) Tapas: - Croquetas de Iberico: Iberico Croquettes with Basil Oil - $18.95 (5 stars): My favorite thing on the menu, so creamy and tasty. - Mejillones al Vapor: Fresh Mussells Steamed in Spanish Beer - $15.75 (5 stars) My very close second favorite thing on the menu: amazing taste of the sauce. - Croquetas de Cangrejo: Crab Croquettes with a Piquillo Pepper Aioli - $17.95 (4 stars) - They were good but not as good as other things on the menu. - Calamares a la Plancha: Grilled Calamari with Chilli oil - $16.75 (4.5 stars) IT is a tad spicy, but great flavour and texture. Would recommend it. - Carpaccio de Ternera: Veal Carpaccio with Manchego and Mushrooms - $19.75 (4.5 stars) Great flavour and overlapping of the flavours. - Cazuela de Espinacas - Baked Spinach with Goat Cheese - $17.75 (4.5 stars) Very tasty and great mixture of all the flavours. Mains: All the mains are very large, definitely for more than 1 person. - Paella Valenciana: Spanish Saffron Rice with Chorizo, Chicken and Seafood - $26.75 (5 stars) the best of the main meals, the chorizo was giving it a really nice kick. - Paella de Marisco: Spanish Saffron Rice with Shrimp, Calamari, Mussels, Scallops, Monkfish and Clams $29.75 (4.5 stars) - lots of seafood, it was good a tad too runny - Arroz Verde: Scallops, Asparagus, Porcini Mushrooms, Spinach and Pesto $32.75 (3.5 stars): it was good, but too many mixed flavours, would likely not order again. Ambiance: (5 stars) They have indoor and outdoor dining. Outdoor has a thick wooden fence around it, so you do not feel like you are sitting on the street. Service: (5 stars) Very friendly staff, very attentive.

The service was fantastic and very friendly and welcoming. We had the 2 course set menu, adding wine and dessert a la carte. We enjoyed everything. The cod and the scallops dishes were delicious, and perfectly cooked. I also had the risotto - I'm not sure everyone would love the combination of flavours but I loved the different tastes and texture - very new to me. My husband had the salmon appetizer and again - just slightly different than the usual, and so very tasty. I must also mention the butter and bread. We finished the whole plate! I can't remember what they put in it but so so tasty!! Even the dessert was cool and different (baked apples but with foamed sheeps yogurt (or cheese?) and some spice I didn't recognize - very cool and yummy even though I don't usually like baked apples). Nice and light! Oh and the wine was great Would very much recommend this restaurant - I think it offers more unique flavours, combinations and plates. You can do a 2 course, or a four course set menu, with or without wine pairings. Apparently you can also order à la cart. I didn't know that before we had come in.
