    Ed's Diner in Soho

In the heart of Soho Ed's Diner is a great place to stop off, rest your feet and indulge in my favourite-the Oreo milkshake! All the milkshakes are made with prmium ice-cream and you can really taste the quality. This diner offers a real authentic American diner experience with some great food and huge selection of milkshakes. The food is of high quality and you can watch the chefs cooking in the kitchen and keep an eye on what they're doing which gives the impression they have nothing to hide about the preparation of the meals! The prices are quite reasonable for somewhere in the centre of London as well. It's a great place for families as well as young people and the atmosphere in the evenings is often quite lively.

Ed's Easy Diner is a really cool place to go to if you are in Soho. Just by having a 50's theme, it definitely runs the risk of being tacky and cheap. The good thing is that it is not cheap and tacky, and is more authentic than a lot of similar places I have been to. The best thing about it is that it serves the kind of food that you really crave sometimes, and can often be hard to find. The burgers are really satisfying after having a couple of beers. It is probably not a place to go out for diner, but it is a place that you would be happy to stumble across, or remember when you are in the area. The milkshakes look quite epic, I haven't tried one, but they look pretty special. There is a good old fashioned jukebox with old fashioned prices as well.

We ran into Ed's as a last minute feed before we were heading to the theatre, and it was so much fun we thought we were in a classic 60s American movie! The head waiter running the joint had the whole accent Wha can ah(I) do fo ya lovely people? and so we went the full hog - fries, burgers, and yeah - the peanut butter milk shake! It's authentic, fun and quite good value for money. And we loved the jukebox :-)

Love it here. This place is excellently situated for a hot meal before or after a visit to the theatre, cinema or Soho. It gets busy really easily but the turn around is very quick. The portions are ample and the food is always piping hot. You HAVE to try their malts ;0) As fast turn around burger bars go you cannot beat Ed's - I especially love the traditional American Diner decor.

Love, love, LOVE this place! Yes, it's pricey. Yes, it's always busy. But once you are seated and settled none of that matters. The food is yummy and straight forward; think hot dogs with fries, burgers etc and the milk shakes are out of this world! A fun place to come while shopping or late at night (I think they are open until 1am).

Despite the fact that one (of 5 waiters) made his best effort to deliver a good service, I was a bit disappointed with the whole experience. The food was so-so, the restaurant was a bit too hot, and they forgets my friend's order, and both of our food doesn't come with things that describe in the menu... surely that count as a massive FAIL? I WILL however recommend their alcohol milkshake! May be next time i will load myself up with their milk shake so I won't care so much about the food... IF, there is a next time...

Old school American style diner that serves some decent food. I got the burger and fries which hit the spot. I like the decor.

After popping in and waiting for 7 minutes in the line, I finally got to ask the lady at the counter if they actually make some real California burritos, like you know, with French fries instead of rice. Which was met with the most puzzled stare...anyways, I ended up ordering a classic burrito which was ok, but still feeling like I got tricked into this. Now, does anyone know an authentic Mexican joint whuch do California burritos?

I've had my first Tortilla-burrito at Yelp event a while back and chatting with the owner, I found out that he's actually from San Francisco - which probably explains why I like their burritos. And since the event, I've kind of made Tortilla my default-Mexican food stop when my craving gets too strong. My tip: when you get a steak or pork burrito - ask them to NOT squeeze out the juice. I find that a juicy (well-lubricated) burrito is much tastier. Also, do invest in extra-guacamole, as this will uplift the flavour tremendously. (They are a little stingy on the guacamole though.)
